It was a tough year and quite a close race. With so many students off in Egypt, they all earned points throughout the year and tried their best for their House. In the end, however, only one House remained on top. Ravenclaw was in last place with 1162 points. They did the worst during exam time than ever before and everyone wondered what happened. Third place was Gryffindor with 1224 points. They tried their best but it just wasn't enough. Second place was Hufflepuff with 1451 points and Slytherin snuck into first with only one point more - 1452 points. This was the closest race any of the students - and even the professors - had ever seen. It truly showed that every point counted and everyone would have to keep that in mind during the following year. However, for now, Slytherin basked in the glory of their win and partied the night away.

Hufflepuff and Slytherin were yet again neck and neck for winning the House Cup. In last place with 2,195 points was Gryffindor. Ravenclaw managed third place with 2,490 points. Hufflepuff was winning for quite a while in May and June, but by the end, they ended up in second place with 3,007 points while Slytherin took the House Cup yet again with 3,402 points. Now two years in a row, the Great Hall was decorated in green and silver and the Slytherins felt very free to boast for the rest of term about their win.

It was a tough race the whole year through. Hufflepuff started off with a huge head start. Some worry if it was due to a donation to the school, but Headmistress Cunningham would never let that affect House Points allocations. The real test was the Quidditch Championship, which was the fiercest rivalry seen in a while, between Slytherin and Hufflepuff. In the end, Gryffindor ended up in last place with 3,974 points. Ravenclaw snuck just by and took third place with 4,035 points. Hufflepuff ended up in second place despite their best efforts after accumulating 5,339 points. Slytherin took first place again for the third time in a row with 5,989 points. This was turning into a streak now and the other Houses had to think about what they would do next year to win instead. But in the mean time, the Slytherins basked in their success and celebrated into the night.

The year had been off to a rocky start. Many students had an illegal party, which also was in the Forbidden Forest, so hundreds of points were taken right away. Ravenclaw had been in last place the whole time, but during exam season, they really buckled down and got a bunch of points, despite the troublemaker duo, Josh & Ella Chamberlain, losing even more points in June.
Last place somehow ended up being Hufflepuff, which was a bit of a surprise with all the hundreds of points Ravenclaw lost throughout the year. But Huffepuff only managed 2,535 points, while Ravenclaw scraped by with third place with 2,643 points. Secon place went to Gryffindor with 2,938 points. Slytherin won first place, which wasn't a surprise as they had been in the lead for pretty much the entire term, with 3,519 points. That meant that Slytherin was now on quite the winning streak with 4 wins in a row. Would anyone else ever be able to beat them?

For the first time in a while, the Great Hall was decorated a little differently. Finally, someone managed to beat Slytherin for the House Cup after they won four years in a row.
Hufflepuff was in last place yet again with 4,005 points - that seemed to be a pattern with them unless they were winning. Never in between. Third place was Slytherin surprisingly, with only 4,222 points. Gryffindor actually beat them and took second place with 4,405 points. But no one could beat Ravenclaw, which was in the lead for most of the year by quite a lot. They won with 5,500 points.
Ravenclaw celebrated into the night with their victory and hoped they could create a streak out of this, but only time would tell.

It had been quite the year. A lot of the students had been at Durmstrang for most of it, so the House Points were mostly up to the first to fifth years. Though Eliza and Eloise did keep tabs on some so they could award them when they got back to Hogwarts. The spell to add the points automatically unfortunately didn't work outside of Hogwarts.
In last place was Gryffindor with 1,410 points. Third place went to Hufflepuff with 1,499 points. Although they were winning for most of the term, second place went to Ravenclaw with 1,904 points. Slytherin snuck into first place in the last month of classes and won the House Cup with 2,193 points.
The Slytherins celebrated into the night again, hoping that this would be the start of another winning streak after Ravenclaw broke it the previous year.

It was a tight race for most of the term but in the end, one House had to come out on top.
Gryffindor took last place with 1,028 points. Hufflepuff took third place with 1,067 points. While it looked like Ravenclaw might win with a burst of points in the beginning of June, by the time everything was calculated, they ended up in second place with 1,251 points. Slytherin took first place yet again with 1,270 points. Two wins in a row - was this another streak for Slytherin?

It was a close race between two Houses while the other two fought for third and fourth place. But in the end, Hufflepuff ended up taking fourth place with only 802 House Points. Gryffindor took third place with 978 House Points. Ravenclaw took second place with 1,340 House Points. Slytherin won the House Cup for the third year in a row with 1,351 House Points. They celebrated into the night, fairly confident that this was quite the winning streak.

It was a race between Ravenclaw and Slytherin the whole year, but one came out the clear winner by gaining far more points in the last half of term.
Hufflepuff took last place with 1,172 points. Gryffindor took third place again with 1,503 points. Ravenclaw ended up not much further ahead with 1,708 points. Slytherin took the House Cup once more with 2,641 points.
This was the fourth year in a row that Slytherin had one. They were creating quite the legacy for themselves. Nearly half the school didn't know of a time when Slytherin hadn't won. Would someone else get to dethrone them next term or would Slytherin be destined to dominate yet again? Only time would tell but for now, the Slytherin students celebrated into the night.

For most of the term, it was pretty clear who would win the House Cup and they did not disappoint. The only competition was really for second place between the other three Houses.
Gryffindor took fourth place with 1,665 points. Hufflepuff was just past them with 1,673 points, which earned them third place. Ravenclaw ended up in second place with 1,725 points. Slytherin ended up in first place with 2,763 House Points.
For now the fifth year in a row, Slytherin won the House Cup and celebrated into the night. They did extremely well and didn't look to be slowing down any time soon.

For the sixth year in a row, it was pretty clear who the winner was the whole term, and very clear to everyone who was in the Great Hall and could see the decorations.
It was the final feast of the year and time for the House Cup winner to be announced. Ravenclaw was in last place with 1,036 points. Hufflepuff took third place with 1,100 points. Gryffindor took second place with 1,129 points, not too much more than the other two. However, Slytherin was in the lead with 1,649 points.
"Well done Slytherin yet again," Eliza said to everyone. Her words could have easily sounded sarcastic, but her tone was not. She was happy for them, though it was nice when it differed from year to year. "However, some recent events must be taken into account. I have a few last minute changes to announce."
There were murmurs in the Great Hall from the students. Was Slytherin not going to win after all? The Slytherins worried and the rest of the students murmured excitedly.
The recent event was how seven first years fought against a corrupt professor who was trying to do bad things in the school and probably was only there for that purpose the whole time.
"For outstanding courage and bravery in the face of insurmountable odds, 50 House Points are awarded each to Ella Burke, Blaise Cunningham, Ezra Weasley, Nisha Bakshi, Nova Shepard, Thalia Burke, and Dustin Burke!"
The decorations didn't change at all as Slytherin had been so far in the lead. However, that meant that Ravenclaw ended up with 1,086 House Points, Hufflepuff earned 1,150 House Points, Gryffindor earned 1,279 House Points, and Slytherin won with 1,749 House Points.
"Congratulations, Slytherin!" It was now official, and everyone could eat their meal at the feast.

For now the seventh year in a row, it was very clear the whole term who was going to win the House Cup. Eliza really needed to start encouraging the other Houses to do better in their studies and at Quidditch.
Hufflepuff, which had been in last place the whole term, ended up in last with 938 House Points. Gryffindor and Ravenclaw were roughly neck and neck the whole term. But in the end, Ravenclaw ended up in third place with 1,672 House Points and Gryffindor took second place with 1,912 House Points. Even with the 50 House Points that were awarded to the trio for saving the school from the basilisk, it wasn't enough to win. Slytherin took first place yet again with far more House Points than usual. They won with 3,732 House Points.
Slytherin celebrated into the night, though not as much as if they had won for the first time in a while. They were pretty used to it by now. Every single student, even the seventh years, had won every year they were at Hogwarts.
