Magical Journey is an optional sign up to track/claim all of the spells and potions that your character has learned. You do not need to sign up with all of your characters or even at all. It is optional. (:

Currently this is only available for student characters.


Spells/Potions Automatically Added:
- Anything your character learns in class (will be added at end of term if you replied at least once)


Spells/Potions You Can Claim at Any Time:
- Anything your character learned in a Club meeting
- Anything your character performed in a non-class thread (must be their current year or below)
- Any spell your character performed in an OWL or NEWT
- A studying thread (can be up to a year above their current year)


Spells/Potions You Can Claim at End of the Year:
You can claim 2 spells/potions for every subject your character attended in the year (maximum 10). This is done in the End of Term thread.


Non-Class Thread Requirements
- Your character must perform the spell. You do not need any particular amount of activity in the thread to claim this.
- The spell must be in your character's year or below (ex. If your character is a 4th year, you can claim it if the spell is for years 1-4).
- You can claim one spell per thread.


Study Thread Requirements
- Your character must be studying Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, or Potions.
- You must reply to the thread at least 3 times.
- You do not need to mention the spell that you're studying. But if you do mention a particular spell, then you can't claim a different one.
- You can claim up to one year above your character's year (ex. If your character is a 4th year, you can claim it if the spell is for years 1-5).
- You can claim one spell per study thread.


Each class only does 1 spell/potion per term and perhaps your character will advance to the upper years before getting to learn it in class. All you need to do is perform the spell in a non-class thread and claim it.

If your character did learn it in class this term and you want to claim it earlier than the end of term, just perform it in a non-class thread too and link it here.
