Honestly Soph was just glad to be out of the castle. Being on vacation with classmates was weird and all, but she liked the idea of getting to do something different. She'd opted to sit in a chair by the beach rather then actually get into the water. But in the moment she felt something she hadn't felt in awhile, peaceful.
Sure, classmates were around her yelling and giggling, but that didn't enter into her bubble at all. Her bubble was solely focused on the moment and the trash novel she'd borrowed from one of her roommates. The peace around her was perfect and it'd take a lot to pull her from it.

Marques closed his eyes as the salty air tickled his face.
This was bliss! This was the piece of something that he felt like he missed. This was the feeling called home. With the Atlantic on one side, a New Yorker was never a stranger to the crazy crowds, the screaming gulls, the kids building sand castles, their parents probably drunk and that one person has to whenever they see a beach! But unaware and oblivious to all these, Marques smiled and with his eyes still closed, wondered what was lunch.
Wishing he had got his dollars converted at the airport, Marques wondered if he should ask on of the professors to get it changed for him! After all the hotel was serving the meals and Marques was not the type to collect soveniers.
Taking a deep breath, Marques slowly opened his eyes. The sun a bit too bright; and he blinked. Someone was walking up towards him, and for that moment everything was right with the world...

Circe was excited to be free of the castle, even if just for a bit. The stony walls felt stuffy and unexciting, stifling in their historic structure. An escape was brilliant, and the fact that it was provided in the form of a beach get away was even more wonderful. Professor Shepard was pretty cool in her book, getting approval for this trip and all.
As soon as they arrived, Circe hit the sandy expanse, digging her toes eagerly into the warm granular surface. She dropped her bag to the ground beside her, turning her face upwards to soak up the rays beaming down on her from above. Ever since becoming a wolf, she seemed to appreciate the outdoors more, even if it meant getting dirty.
A tan was a necessary accessory, she quickly decided, as she began to unpack her items from a straw bag. She was wearing a simple white sun dress and a large brimmed hat, which was discarded in an effort to soak up as much of the warmth as possible. She pulled a Quidditch magazine from the bag, and then a large, scarlet colored towel emblazoned with a Gryffindor emblem.
After carefully spreading the towel out, she plopped down stomach-first, kicking off a pair of golden hued flip-flops as she did so. Heart shaped sunglasses colored her vision as she began to thumb through the pages. Sun overhead, magazine in hand, and the sound of the waves behind her, Circe found herself very close to pure bliss.

Ray loved the castle and was admittedly a bit sad to be leaving her Greenhouse behind. Part of her worried that her plants may be worse for the wear after a week away, but, she couldn't resist the idea of a field trip. She had found a book specifically on aquatic foliage just for the occasion, and had packed it carefully in a knapsack for the journey.
Unlike most girls, who seemed to want to use the prime time to work on their tan or gossip amongst themselves, Ray planned to use this escape for her favorite pastime: foraging for new plants. As soon as they arrived, she'd skipped ahead of everyone else, swinging a wicker basket in her hands. A tuneless humming came through her lips, meant to emulate a song she'd heard recently. Her own tone-deaf tendencies muddled the melody.
Soraya was drawn to some sea grass at first, and she stooped to get a closer look, examining it from every angle. Quite like a madwoman, she even went so far as to kneel in the sand, bringing the blades very close to her eyes for inspection without uprooting them from their home. Above all, she was always most respectful towards plants. They had feelings too, of course.
After inspecting the sea grass for a while, Ray moved on, coming closer to the shore, A glinting object caught her eye, and she let out a little shriek of delight. Bending down, she collected a piece of sea glass. It was light blue in color, and crystal clear. What a find! She placed it carefully in her basket, then skipped her way further down the shore.

Waves crashed onto the beach and the seagulls squawked as the babies running through the sand shrieked with—
"ROSIE!"
A wicked grin split across Rosalia's face. Opening her eyes, she tugged out her earphones and lifted her sunglasses to get a better look at what was happening. Her sister's face was beet red as she tried to wiggle out of her beach chair, seemingly stuck to it. Somehow.
Okay, not somehow. Rosalia definitely knew how.
Being the big diva that her sister was, she huffed, "You know we can't use magic outside of school, I'm telling Professor Shepard!"
Diva was such a blabbermouth! "Well, it's a good thing I didn't use magic." She replied. Noticing steam curling from where Diva was gripping her beach chair, she added, "Anyway, if you're such a crybaby, I guess you should not use your sunscreen." It always started like that: Diva's hands heated up, she grew a beak, and then set things on fire. Totally normal. "I think I'd have to tell Professor Shepard if you set the beach on fire, and that wouldn't be good."
Without saying another word, she plugged her earphones back in, sounds of the beach filling her ears. Magic was brilliant and learning spells for her pranks was one of the few reasons she bothered paying attention in class, but this prank didn't need any wand-waving.
Super glue was just that magical.

Professor Shephard was a real one. To send the students to the beach? Best. Professor. Ever.
The scene opens up with a 5'8 13-year-old kid with shaggy hair, white sleeveless shirt, black sunglasses, and Spongebob Squarepants swim shorts, walking casually with his girlfriend, Greggy. What was interesting enough was the large rectangle box that was being held by Josh; a boombox! How Josh obtained a boombox was a mystery, but many of his friends told others that he kept the boombox by his bed hoping for the day when Hogwarts was able to make muggle equipment work.
Greggy and Josh made it over to the rest of the classmates. Josh clicked 'Next' on the boombox and
"Last Friday Night" by Katy Perry began playing. Josh's eyes lit up to the sound of the bass. Dropping the boombox in the sand, Josh straightened his sunglasses and began to sing,
"There's a stranger in my bed. There's a pounding in my head. Glitter all over the room. Pink flamingos in the pool - I smell like a minibar. DJ's passed out in the yard, barbies on the barbecue. This a hickey or a bruise?"Josh then leaned closer to Greggy,
"Pictures of last night ended up on-line, I'm screwed.... Oh, well! It's a blacked. Out. Blur. But, I'm pretty sure it ruled... Damn."The nearby table suddenly became a stage for Josh as he jumped ontop of it.
"LAST FRIDAY NIIIIGHT! Yeah, we danced on tabletops and we took many shots; think we kissed, but I forgot - LAST FRIDAY NIIIGHT! Yeah, we maxed our credit cards and got kicked out of the bar, so we hit the boulevard - LAST FRIIIDAY NIGHT." Josh started
dancing while in the middle of the chorus. "We went streaking in the paaaark, skinny dipping in the daaark, then had a menage a troiiiiss - LAST FRIDAY NIGHT! Yeah, I think we broke the law, always say we're gonna sto-o-op, whoaaaa." Another dance emerged.
"This Friday night, do it alllll again." He then pointed back at Greggy,
"But this Friday night, do it alllll again!"
