RUTHERFORD EXPANSION
After 25 years of operations, Rutherford, the only post-secondary institution in the United Kingdom and Scotland, has finally expanded from its small school house to an illustrious castle atop the mountains in Hogsmeade.The project has been five years in the making, primarily facilitated by the Hogsmeade Revitalization Committee in conjunction with the Ministry of Magic. The 10 floor establishment will be able to accommodate many more students with these new facilities, with many excited about the addition of new subject matters to further prepare future generations for their various fields of employment. "It has been an honour to build upon my great-great-grandfather's legacy," said Mark Rutherford when questioned about the expansion. "It was been a long time coming, and now that it is complete, I look forward to being able to welcome many more students to Rutherford."
In conjunction with the expansion, Rutherford has announced the addition of three new diploma programs available through the school, as well as the creation of a new research department for witches and wizards wishing to make further contributions to their magical field. Starting September 1st, new and current students will have the option to enrol in the new programs, comprising of Potionology, Management, and Advanced Wizardry.
To commemorate the event, Rutherford is opening its doors to the public on Saturday August 15th from 10:00 to 15:00 for all wishing to visit the new establishment. Tours of the castle will be available, as well as information on the new diploma programs and the new research wing. Refreshments will be available for purchase in the dining hall.
