Unfortunately due to everyone wanting to make blood purists, the amount of purebloods (especially students) is a little unrealistic right now. Therefore, we're going to put a temporary restriction on purebloods. Also, remember that there were many Death Eaters in the books (even Voldemort himself!) who were half-bloods. You can absolutely have a half-blood purist. Playing one could even be more interesting because there would be a certain amount of self-loathing or inner conflict due to not being purebloods themselves.
For the next little while, you can claim 1,000 Sickles if you make a half-blood purist. This starts as of today only.
Temporary pureblood restrictions:
- New purebloods must have been born in another country (but they can move to the UK of course)
- Exception: You can take a pureblood canon
- Exception: Anyone brand new to the site can make one original British pureblood
This is only temporary until we can have more half-bloods.
Remember that muggleborns are 0% magical lineage, purebloods are 100% magical lineage, and half-bloods are 1-99% magical lineage.
Currently Hogwarts students are:
10% Muggleborn
34% Half-blood
56% Pureblood
What would be more realistic is 10% Muggleborn, 70% Half-blood, 20% Pureblood. But if we can get to 50% Half-blood, this temporary restriction will end.
