It was the end of May and time for all the students to go back to their respective schools. They would have about a month to prepare for their exams or OWLs or NEWTs, which would probably be a little intense, since their studies were so different this term. Some of them got to take an extra class they hadn't before, and some of their classes that they would be graded on were extra tutoring sessions with their headmaster or headmistress. Those classes would probably be tougher to catch up on and revise before exams.
But first, they would have to say goodbye to all the friends they made during the year who were from a different school. It was a little bittersweet. Many of them would be happy to go home to their main school and their family and home country as well. But many also would miss Firenze or the people they befriended there.
At the moment, many of them were all gathered on the lawns to prepare for the journey home. While a few of the schools had done some sight seeing before arriving at Firenze, they all would be going straight home. They had enough to catch up on without another mini vacation.
((Everyone feel free to post your character here saying goodbye to the other students and maybe promising to write some owls!))

With the games now coming to an end and the reality that he had to go back home sinking in, Calvin along with the others from his school made his way toward the very same Pond that almost killed him. Rather a dramatic series of events and one he would never ever forget. Smiling softly, his eyes searched around for one person in particular. I wonder where she is... He asked grasping onto a little box containing a special item he wanted to give to Desiree.

After several months spent in Italy, it was finally time for the students to head back to their own schools. Desiree was excited at the prospect of being back at Beauxbatons, while also nervous at the realization that NEWTs were just around the corner. Classes that year had been, well, interesting, and she had to admit she was a bit nervous that her grades would suffer as a result. Hopefully she could pull through enough to proceed with her plans to attend the fashion program at Rutherford the following year.
Joining the crowd of students outside of the school, she glanced over at the pond wistfully. What should have been a horrible detention spent in that cold water ended up turning into a joyous memory. While the end results were not great for Calvin, she couldn’t help but smile as she remembered that night. At the thought of Calvin, she began scanning the crowd looking for him. There were a few students to whom she wished to say a proper goodbye, and he was one of them. The other was Silvia, but she figured she might find them together. They seemed to get along well, and so perhaps if she found one she would find the other.
Spotting his familiar mop of blonde hair, she made her way over to him. He didn’t seem to notice her approach as he was looking in the opposite direction. Taking advantage of his distraction, she covered his eyes with her hands. “Guess who?” she asked playfully, feeling the familiar giddiness bubbling in her stomach. He brought out such a different side of her, and she was already dreading being away from him for the summer months.

He had seen friends he had made, his own school students along with some of the other champions as well as the Professor who ordered his detention. Rather than feeling angry or upset toward the Professor, Calvin actually felt a sense of gratitude and happiness. If it wasn't for that professor punishing him with Detention he wouldn't be here looking for the very same girl he met, spent time with at the hospital and competed against. It was almost as if it were destiny or fate if one chose to believe in it.
Calvin happened to be dressed up in his sleek black uniform which harboured the school crest on the back which made him uniquely stand out. To add to this, his uniform was slightly different considering he was chosen as the Champion representative for his school. A part of him felt silly for standing out in his crowd but at the same time, it was nice to hear the comments made about his school uniform despite it being a sleek looking black robe and a black suit underneath. Kind of boring really if you considering how fancy some of the other school uniforms were.
His eyes scanned the vicinity around him hoping to find Desiree. He had seen the others wearing the uniform coming out so he assumed that shortly she would be coming out. His peripheral vision darkened ever so slightly as he felt some very soft hands around his eyes. " I know those hands from any type of darkness. " He said smiling as he slowly moved them off before giving the girl a hug. " I don't need to guess when the hands as soft as these can melt any heart especially mine. " He added as always naturally being charming.

Desiree smiled brightly and returned the hug, enjoying the feel of his strong arms wrapped around her. Her stomach was doing somersaults at the close proximity. She wasn’t sure why, but she felt safe in his arms, like a previous gem she knew he would protect at all costs. Pulling away, she left her arms wrapped around his neck, hoping to prolong the proximity for a moment longer. She did a double take as she noticed his fancy school robes. “You look quite svelte today,” she purred, surprised at how attracted she was to Calvin in a suit.
She had most definitely seen him in proper attire before, but hadn’t really paid attention at the time. Part of her wished they had gotten to know each other earlier in the school year, so they could have spent more time together at Firenze, but it did her no good to dwell on a past they could not change.
She finally pulled away fully, her heart aching ever so slightly as she missed his warmth. “I suppose we will send each other letters? Until we are able to see each other again?” Her tone dipped a bit, her prior excitement fading as she remembered that this was goodbye. They didn’t have a choice in the matter. They still had a month left of school, and unfortunately they currently attended different schools, in completely different countries.

A smile erupted on his face finally seeing Desiree ad his stomach began with butterflies before opening up to the whole animal kingdom calling his stomach his home. The Elephants in his stomach in particular stomping about and it made him wonder if it was still the butterfly feeling or was he experiencing gas. None the less, he tensed his stomach before smiling as Desiree.
"Svelte? Like Suave you meane?" He said feeling silly being all adorned in his school robes that made him stand out as the Champion for St.Augustine. It was a bitter sweet moment. He had written to his parents and spoken to his own Headmaster and Headmistress about transferring from St.Augustine to Hogwarts in the new year. With this in mind, he looked over at the Hogwarts students and how pretty their uniform looked. " Don't you think the Hogwarts school has nice robes? In particular, that blue one there." Blue happened to be Calvin's favourite colour.
" Letters?" He replied frowning slightly. It was 2025. The muggle world had all forms of communication devices available and he planned on utilising it to connect with Desiree. " Sure we could be old fashioned and write letters or you could just message me either way. " He said laughing slightly. " Oh yeah." He said as he handed over a little box. " This is for you." He smiled as he handed over the box containing a ball slightly filled with the same pond water that was in the pond where they had met along with a petal from one of the flowers he had given her from the Hospital wing encounter they had. " I charmed this glass ball my self. Good luck trying to break it." He said slightly wondering if Australian type of magic would be any stronger than any other type or any weaker or if it actually made a difference.

“Oui, oui, very suave,” she corrected herself, a bit embarrassed to have used the incorrect word, not that Calvin ever made her feel bad for her English blunders. Stepping a bit closer, Desiree busied herself flattening out his suit lapels, not that they needed any adjustments, hoping to hide the slight pink tint to her cheeks. She only looked up when Calvin mentioned the Hogwarts school robes. “I am sure you will look good in any school robes,” she reassured him, assuming he was worried they wouldn’t be as becoming as his current school set. Personally she had a preference for her own robes, although she knew the soft blue colour was not for everyone.
Desiree blinked a few times when he called letters old fashioned, instead suggesting she ‘message’ him. Was that not what she would be doing through letters? “Do you mean messaging via the floo network? I am not sure if it works between our countries.” She felt like she was missing something, some crucial information, but she could not think of any other way to communicate between France and Australia.
She had not been expecting any sort of gift, and so was happily surprised when he handed her a little box. She opened it to find a glass orb filled with water, a flower floating within - the same kind Calvin had given her in the hospital, which was currently packed away in her luggage for safe keeping. It was beautiful, the way the ball reflected under the Italian sun, and she felt her heart squeeze. “Merci, it is… exquisite,” she said, struggling to find the right word to describe it. Unable to fully voice her feelings in that moment, she gave Calvin another quick hug in thanks.
TAGGED: CALVIN KLEIN Notes: I don't picture Desiree knowing much, or using, muggle technology lol her family is more traditional

It seemed that Calvin was so focused on Desiree that he somehow forgot about the other people around him. It was almost like a romantic movie where the popular muggle scene of the lights dimming down and things moving in slow motion was happening. His blood rushing all over his body as he smiled toward Desiree's hearing her French accent was something he was going to miss the most.
" These robes just identify me as the champion for St.Augustine. " He looked down as his robes once more and the others around him. " It's kinda of embarrassing really. " He said as he looked around once more as he did his best to try and hide his not so conspicuous school uniform before looking at Desiree. " Can I have your hat?" He asked boldly with a smile on his face boldly hoping Desiree would say yes. Considering she was graduating, was it really necessary for her to keep?
Calvin laughed at her comment. It was evident that she was not accustom to Muggle technology or perhaps she didn't live in a Muggle area outside of schooling. " How bout I just write you letters instead then?" He replied loving every second of this bitter moment. " We use muggle technology in Australia so I was hoping you'd have like social media or a mobile number. " It was odd, the two had clicked so well that he never thought of what would happen post games.
" Promise me you'll keep writing?" He said embracing her hug before pulling away slightly as he looked around. " Come on, we should say bye to the other champions." He walked around for a few seconds hoping Desiree would follow as he finally found himself in front of Silvia. " Silvia, thank you so much for this experience you've given me. " He said as he took a step forward to give her a hug. He would start with Silvia and progress through the other champions there.

Reino realized that yet another year had flown by before it was too late. All the foreign students were setting to leave Firenze and he hadn’t even taken the time to get to know them. Not that socializing was among any of his key skills. But he had been so focussed on the passing of his sister that he didn’t allow himself to live in the moment. He felt regret knowing he missed the chance of a lifetime. These people were all about to go their own way and he’d never see them again.
He still showed up to wave them goodbye. It was the polite thing to do. Hopefully he didn’t look too much like a creep as he observed Calvin and Desiree from a distance among the crowd. Perhaps he could learn something about small talk from them. If he put it to use then perhaps one day he'd be able to connect with people.

Silvia had quite a few people to say goodbye to. Throughout the year, she had done her utmost to make new connections - just as the Dahshur faculty had encouraged their delegation to do. Since those she grew the closest with - Reino, Calvin, Desiree, Tobias - were either not yet present or engaged in their own private-looking farewells, the blonde first dealt with those who were more like acquaintances. She made generic promises to write letters, avoiding mention of how complicated her school made it - what with being underground and underwater, which meant owls couldn't reach the place directly.
Finally spotting Reino, she was about to make her way to him when Calvin approached. A little bemused as to what experience the Augustine champion was referring to, she hugged him nonetheless. "It was a great year - I'll sure miss you. Any idea where you'll live after you transfer, and when you might move there?" She figured it was probably best to start their correspondence once he was in the British Isles, rather than the whole ocean away. What bird could even make such a trip? Silvia didn't want to force some poor owl to cross such a vast distance. Maybe communication with Australia was done through the Floo Network or some enchanted mirrors, but neither option was available at Dahshur.

It was an interesting thought really considering he and Silvia once competed against each other. Heck, Calvin even tried to attack her which of course was an accident..... His mind would constantly linger back to that memory of the games where he looked back and wondered would the outcome of the games changed if they had not gotten into that situation.
" We'll figure out some way to write to each other." He replied with a smile on his face before releasing himself from her embrace. " I'm planning on transferring to Hogwarts in August. They said I could either pick my house or they could select. I've yet to decide still. " From his studies in History of Magic where they learned about other magical schools, he had an inkling for either Slytherin or Ravenclaw.
" But once I'm closer to that month I'll let you know. " He came to this school a loner yet here he was walking away from the experience not as the same shy Calvin he used to be but a more confident and outgoing Calvin. "Look." He said to Silvia as he pointed toward one of the other students carrying her trophy. " It's even got your name. "

Desiree could not understand Calvin’s shame at his special dress robes. She would have been elated if Beauxbatons had done the same. She waved off his concerns with a wave of her hand. “You should not be embarrassed. You should be proud! You were one of the few chosen, out of every student in your school. You should stand out, let them know your status.” She stood up a bit straighter, as if taking her own advice, or showing Calvin how to properly bask in the attention. Desiree was definitely not one to blend into a crowd, much preferring to draw attention. Calvin did not seem to feel the same. She was therefore confused when he asked for her hat. She chuckled a bit, “I do not think it will match your outfit.” Not to mention she wasn’t sure if it would even fit properly on his head, which would cause him to look more ridiculous than he currently felt.
Desiree was surprised when Calvin mentioned the use of muggle technology. She did not know many people who used it, at least not in her circles, and so was not too familiar with them. She wasn’t even aware that some wizards did, other than muggleborns of course. She wasn’t against it necessarily, and she did take muggle studies so she knew the basic concepts, but it all seemed very alien to her. For now, letters would probably be safer and more reliable. “I promise,” she stated with a soft smile, reassuring Calvin that she would indeed keep writing to him during their time apart. “And perhaps some time you can show me some of this muggle technology,” she suggested, not sure if he would take her up on that.
The warm, affectionate moment was suddenly burst as Calvin brought her back to the present, leading her away to some of the other champions. She almost felt a chill as a result, although that would be implausible in the Italian sun. Tagging behind, the pair soon found Silvia amongst the crowd. Perfect. The only other student Desiree truly hoped to find. Sure, she’d made a few other friendships and acquaintances, but none quite as important to her as the two people currently standing next to her.
She let Calvin and Silvia have their moment first, before taking her own opportunity to say a proper goodbye to the blonde. “Silvia, adieu ma chère amie,” she said while giving Silvia a hug, as well as the traditional two cheek kisses. “It was lovely to get to know you, and compete against you, this year. Congratulations, again, on your victory.” Her own loss still stung a little bit, but it was getting easier with time. Plus, she had more pressing concerns at that moment, such as her upcoming NEWTs. “We shall keep in touch, hm? Perhaps you may visit me in Paris for a shopping trip?”

Reino saw Silvia and felt a strange but no unpleasant tingling in his stomach. That same strange sensation occurred more often when he laid eyes on her lately. From his research he concluded that this meant he liked her. Which was odd because he thought he liked Maeve even if they were no longer engaged. She was everything that he wished his future partner would be and he respected her greatly. Yet he never felt this way around her.
Not like the way Silvia made him feel. The times they spend together on the Gryffindor team, her being there for him when his sister died and the time they spend exploring the Firenze castle for clues. It had taken him this long to figure out what he felt towards her. She was a halfblood which complicated things. But Yrsa had been fine with Malcom, until-. Well he didn’t think Silvia was the type to kill him. Obviously she could if she wanted, he’d seen her fight in the tournament but she was kind. Then again Malcom was madly in love with Yrsa and he wouldn’t harm a fly yet he still… Unless he didn’t…
Being lost in thoughts made him miss the opportunity to approach Silvia. Instead Calvin beat him to it. This brought out a new feeling he couldn’t place. Frustration? Jealousy? He took a deep breath and gathered the courage to break away from his safe spot hidden amongst the crowd. He burst into the middle of the conversation the three were having. “Silvia-” He busted out and went red, no hesitation or calling her by her surname it was clear and it felt right. Finally it registered he was interrupting a heartfelt moment between the different champions. He turned Gryffindor red at the spot. “My apologies,” he muttered under his breath to the group before biting his lip and looking up at Silvia again. “I can’t go without seeing you for long. Please meet with me in the summer and winter breaks,” he asked her bravely, his palms shaking as this act took a lot from the usual wallflower.

The thought that Calvin was allowed to pick his own house at Hogwarts caused a tiny spark of envy, since Silvia hadn't been given that option. She still would have picked Gryffindor, though, so it didn't matter. Perhaps it was even better, because an outside force deemed her worthy of that house. Still, having the freedom to choose was just as special. "Gryffindor might fit you, it's the house for those bold and daring," she suggested. Then again, perhaps Slytherin would suit him, too... Not that she would advise him to join the purist den. As the Augustine champion pointed out her trophy, she briefly glanced at it. "Yes, they engraved it for me." Being one of a small handful of people to own this award still made her feel warm with pride.
Her attention then shifted to Desiree, and she gladly reciprocated the la bise that was already becoming familiar to her. "It was a pleasure and a challenge to compete against you as well. And thank you." If Dodecawizard offered a second and a third place, they would have been granted to Calvin and Desiree respectively; both of them had been tough competitors. And although they didn't win, the romance they seemed to be developing had to be a great consolation prize. "A shopping trip in Paris sounds fantastic," she agreed eagerly, more than willing to spend some of her new fortune on designer clothes. While she'd known of the monetary prize, she had no real need for it - not with her mother's high income. Spending the thousand Galleons to enrich her wardrobe was an enticing idea. "We could decide on the date once we're done with exams? Oh, and good luck with your N.E.W.T.s." All Silvia had to do was pass her end-of-term exams with an Acceptable grade, but Desiree would soon be taking exams that could determine her entire future. That had to be a massive source of stress for the French girl; it certainly would have been for Silvia.
Reino's entrance was quite unexpected. The usually-quiet boy joined their small group boldly, though the fiery shade of his face told her this hadn't been an easy feat. Swallowing her bemusement, the blonde greeted him with a grin... which faltered a little at the bold line that sounded odd coming from the introverted boy's mouth. I can’t go without seeing you for long. Did he really mean to put it like that? She couldn't just ask him, not with others present - the awkwardness would be too much even for her, and there was no telling what it could do to Reino. And if he confirmed what the phrasing made her suspect, it would get even worse. Silvia was still nurturing the heartbreak Aiden had caused, and would not consider getting romantically involved with anyone yet - but she couldn't just state that with all these people present. "I'll try visiting this summer," she promised, avoiding the mention of winter. Did Dahshur have a winter break, when Christmas wasn't that big in Egypt? Would the break happen at the same time as it did at Firenze? She would have to find out. "Will you be in Italy, or will you travel to England at some point?" Even after spending some eight months at Firenze, Silvia couldn't say she had visited Italy; exploring the major tourist attractions could be fun. And she had no desire to travel to the British Isles any time soon.

The way Desiree spoke highly of Calvin's school uniform was welcomed with a smile. She did make a valid point that he should be proud but it almost felt obnoxious. Highlighting the fact that yet he was the champion representing their school but was it really necessary to showcase that? He still felt somewhat silly as he made his way through the different crows with Desiree as they finally met up with Silvia as well as Reino.
" You really think Gryffindor will suit me? I've yet to look up the houses and what they represent. " He replied looking at the Hogwarts robes and back to Silvia. " Once I am sorted and established I'll send you all an owl. " Weirdly enough, there was a sensation in him that wanted to keep up to date with the others almost like he wanted to continue forging these friendships he had made during his time here. "You should be proud to take home that Trophy. You deserved it. " He smiled once more before holding onto Desiree's hand. " I won my own little trophy here. " He said as he leaned over and kissed Desiree on the cheek.
" I really think we should all catch up again. I would love that. Come along Reino. You're one of us too. " He said smiling toward the shy boy. Whilst they had encountered each other a few times, he never really got to forming a proper friendship with him yet it was something he wanted to do.
A whistle played in the background which somehow harmonised his school song. " That's my school calling us. " He looked at Reino, Desiree and Silvia. " This has been the most fantastic experience. Thank you. All of you. " He hugged each of them but gave Reino a handshake. " Desiree, do you wanna come with me to drop me off?"
