Happy June, everyone! There are a couple of changes that will occur starting soon so I wanted to let you all know about it in advance. <3


MAGICAL JOURNEY

This is something I've thought about for a while (actually I have a document about it from 2019 lol). We are adding something called your Magical Journey. It's optional and something you can sign up for your students (adults will be allowed to sign up later - it'll be a little different for them).

Magical Journey is a list of all the spells your character has learned. If you attend class, the spell that was taught will automatically be added to your list. But you can also claim other ones that you have performed in non-class threads. There's no time limit for this but you will need to find the links to the threads to prove that your character did this (go to your profile and view all posts by this member to see all the posts you have made).

If you like checking off boxes and getting achievements in games, this might be fun for you. (: It is not mandatory, however, but regardless - your character still should only be performing spells in your roleplaying threads that they would know from class or is in their year (in the spells list).

Also the spells list is fully updated now with all spells from the books - if there are any missing, please PM me.


EXAM EXEMPTIONS

Starting next term, the Gringotts exam exemptions will be removed. In place of it is an exam exemption if your character gets at least 3 Os (Outstandings) in their classes. In order to get an O, you need to reply to the same class at least 3x. So posting once in 9 classes will not work because that will be 9 As.

If you think you might be away or don't want to complete the exam, just make sure to be active during the term in your classes. When you're viewing a board, if you click on the the number of replies in the thread, it will show you who has replied the most, so that's how you can see how many times you've responded to that lesson with your character.

The three Os will be awarded 25% each towards your exam (so you will be included in the Exam Results and will get 10 HP). Then any posts in other classes can count towards the class activity portion. But if you just got 3 Os and nothing else, then you will still pass.

If anyone gets 3 Os and did not complete the exam, you will automatically be moved up a year. You do not need to apply for this. So if you were away during exams, you don't have to worry. (:

But you also can still do an exam! It only takes about 10 minutes and is multiple choice. (:
