It's time for a spring roleplaying contest! This has a few aspects to it, so there are lots of ways to earn points. <3 This will last during March and you can claim anything during March (so yes posts done from March 1st count too).

NOTE: You can only claim each task and achievement once and a particular thread can be used for up to 3 Tasks.

NOTE: For any task worth 5+ points, you will need to reply to the thread at least twice to get the full points. If not, then you will get only 2 points.


REWARDS
The point is to complete the most tasks. (:

First Place - 1,000 Sickles; 50 House Points; first choice prize
Second Place - 500 Sickles; 25 House Points; second choice prize
Third Place - 250 Sickles; 15 House Points; third choice prize
Participation - For every task/achievement completed, you get 25 Sickles and 5 House Points

PRIZES
There are extra prizes below. If you win first place, then you get to choose first. And second place gets to choose second, etc. If you don't place in the top three, you could still earn a prize. But you do need to earn at least 25 points to claim one.

- Can make a fourth or fifth year (but must be a Quidditch player for at least 1 year)
- Can make a fifth year male or non-binary Hufflepuff (but must be prefect; if made next term, must be sixth year)
- Can make a fifth year male or non-binary Slytherin (but must be prefect; if made next term, must be sixth year)
- Don't have to do end of the term exams for one character
- +10 points to NEWT or OWL claims (can split between characters or use for one character)
- An extra adult exception (but must make an Auror for at least 1 year)
- 5 icons (for one character or split between multiple characters)


This will go until March 31st.


BASE POINTS

- You will get 1 point for every roleplaying post you do in March. This will automatically be added up with the Top Posters numbers. You don't have to post a link to every post you do, don't worry.


TASKS

2 Points:
- Study for exams
- Practice your Quidditch skills (not in a game)
- Participate in a Quidditch game
- Climb a tree
- Swim in the lake
- Participate in a club meeting

5 Points:
- Discover an unexplored room (unexplored by your character, at least) at Hogwarts
- You wake up and can only speak in a different language you've never heard before (ex. Mermish) and have to figure out what happened
- Accidentally drink a non-lethal, non-injury making potion when you thought it was juice (ex. Forgetfulness Potion).
- Get lost in the Forbidden Forest
- Wake up in the Hospital Wing
- Be a werewolf at the Transformation Habitat during a full moon in the daytime
- Sneak into a room of the East Tower at Durmstrang after hours
- Talk about a book listed in Gringotts (not a Hogwarts textbook)

- Spend the weekend at Holt's Castle (the rooms there are rented out now by the Ministry, either short term or long term)
- Participate in one of the battles
- Polyjuice as someone to do daily tasks due to being a fugitive
- Take inventory of the wine cellar at Yester Castle and decide to do some quality testing


ACHIEVEMENTS

These first three achievements cannot be claimed for the same thread
- Have your thread have a page (15 posts) during March. If it's an older thread, it just means that at least 15 posts in your thread need to be made in March. (10 points.)
- Have your thread reach page 3. At least 15 posts in your thread need to be made in March. (15 points.)
- Have your thread reach page 5. At least 15 posts in your thread need to be made in March. (25 points.)

- Post 50 roleplaying posts during March. (25 points.)
- Post 100 roleplaying posts during March. (50 points.)

- Write a post with 500+ words. (5 points.)
- Write a post with exactly 394 words (use the word counter in the reply page - do not include any tags or coding). (10 points.)
- Participate in a class at least 3 times (at least one needs to be in March). (10 points.)
- Participate in 5 classes. (15 points.)
