Perhaps it was a little strange, a little odd perhaps.
But for some reason Adalina found comfort in the company of the Owls, they didn't judge or question what she said or did. Didn't care much at all unless she happened to bother them - or if she had food on her, that would change things a little. But for the most part she could just - be - without worries or annoying questions being raised. It wasn't often she found herself in the western tower, but it was apparently common enough that her presence there and the way she moved with intent and familiarity towards a mostly clear spot before she dropped her robe and made herself at home. None of her actions barely ruffled a feather.
She quickly made herself comfortable and pulled out a worn looking book, flipping through to a mostly empty page before she began to jot down something, losing herself as she wrote. A small brown owl with white spots had settled beside her, nudging against her before it had fallen asleep right at her side, but it wasn't fully un-noticed by Adalina - as occasionally the Slytherin girl would reach out and give it a gentle scratch before returning to her writing.
It was almost... peaceful
