SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING went right and walked for a little while. Then she came to a fork in the road. She looked left and there were stairs going upward. Left or forward?
CALVIN KLEIN went forward and ran into SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING. They had come from opposite directions. He looked to the right and there were stairs going upward. Right or forward?
DESIREE FONTAINE went left and instantly had to decide again. Left or right?
ARES CRIVELLI went left and had to decide again already. Right or forward?

Running into another champion, even one she was on friendly terms with, made her heart drum anxiously. The presence of the stairs only made it worse. Silvia grinned awkwardly at Calvin - not sure what to say as both of them were in a rush - before going up the stairs.

Thus far, he had survived a troll, a pond and a large spider. What he didn't expect to find was another champion. At first, he smiled softly at Silvia before he gripped onto the handle of his wand. It was an opportunity for him to somewhat try and get ahead. Silvia was a formidable witch but he knew that this was just a game. "Petrificus Totalus!" He called out as a blue light erupted from the tip of his wand as he did his best to aim it at Silvia who was just before him going up the stairs before running up the stairs himself on the right. " Sorry, it's just a game!" He called out shortly before running up not even sure if his spell had hit.
- Goes right and up the stairs.

So far Desiree hadn’t confronted any more enemies on the second floor, just another intersection with multiple pathways. This time she decided to head right, worried her good luck might soon run out.

Ares wanted to get as far away from those other entrance stairs as he could. He decided to go forward, hoping it would take him far from there and towards some upward stairs instead. He really wanted to catch up to the others and he was sure that everyone was doing far better than he was right now.

Silvia didn't expect to be attacked, not by Calvin. He had seemed so friendly, so genuine... To think she'd considered forming an alliance with him!
Despite the nasty surprise, she managed to dodge out of the spell's way - her nerves were on edge, which improved her reaction time. Feeling shocked and hurt more than outraged, she whipped around to face him, her wand held up to produce the Shield Charm swiftly if needed; she was not aiming to cast at Calvin just yet. Her face went through the emotions of anger, frustration, and then disappointment.
"If it's just a game, why are you attacking friends?" Her expression made it clear she was doubting they'd really been friends. Perhaps it was just an act to make her drop her guard, and then attack like he did just now.

At least it wasn't another dead end. Ares seemed to be going in the right direction, although it could just be another dead end and then he would have to go back quite far and try to get his bearings again. But there wasn't any sense in thinking about that just yet. He had to get back on track. He decided to rip off part of the flag and drop it there. He didn't really need the flag much, he thought, so he at least could leave some breadcrumbs with it. He walked left then, hoping it was in the right direction.

CALVIN KLEIN went forward for a long while then automatically right, then walked for a while and reached a dead end. He went back to where he was. Forward was the downward stairs. Left or forward?
SILVIA ODETTE STIRLING went forward behind CALVIN KLEIN, following him all the way to the dead end. It was quite the journey, though, so conveniently, they did have time to talk. She went back to where she started as well. Forward was the downward stairs. Left or forward?
TOBIAS ALVAREZ went to the right then automatically right again. He came to a dead end where there was a dementor he had to defeat in order to move further.
ARES CRIVELLI went left and had to decide again. Left, right, or forward?

Following Calvin had not been productive toward victory, but Silvia didn't take her eyes off him while she waited for the answer. Was the audience watching this? Could they hear this exchange?

" Sorry!" He responded quickly after finally noticing who he had just attacked. " I thought you were one of the other champions at first!" He responded rather shook after what he had just done. He was previously attacked by Aries so he thought it was someone else. " Don't go forward, it'll bring you back down. " He said as he peered down the stairs. " You deserve to win you know? You've been exceptional. Good luck! I'm heading left." He began to walk to the left when he paused and turned around. " I'll see you in the victors tent!" he said with a smile as he began to walk away.

Ares had to decide yet again. He decided to go left again, even though left usually was giving him some bad areas. Maybe he shouldn't do left anymore, but that probably wasn't a very good way to win the Task either. He wasn't sure anymore, he would just keep going until he found the stairs that led upwards.
