Between classes and studying Nisha had fallen upon the old familiar habit of self isolation, she'd been spending her time tinkering with shoes and how to make them magically silent why? Because it sounded cool and if she was going to explore the school to discover it's secrets she'd have to move around in the night like a burglar seeking the trinkets of knowledge. Nisha had always been interested in magically tinkering with normal almost mundane things and she'd even started diving into modifications on Quidditch equipment..but not at school so far..tonight she was trying to use her sneaking sneakers.
It was well past curfew as she exited the Ravenclaw Tower, sneaking shoes on, and her notebook to which she would use to record her discoveries for a future book hopefully (she'd already written the first chapter about the Room of Requirements; though she had thought about excluding it). Tonight she wanted to interview the most famous Ghost of Hogwarts...Moaning Myrtle...the first of a few Ghosts actually on her list. The shoes so far had been working, she had dodged a few Prefects hearing them before they could hear her or wouldn't because of the shoes. Yet she had gotten so wrapped up with what questions she'd ask she didn't hear anyone else coming up behind her.

A few days ago, Don had to hurriedly hide his backpack while fleeing from a partially successful prank. He had filled a corridor with fireworks, which looked amazing, but some of them had broken the mullioned windows, which meant he would get into serious trouble if caught. So he bolted to the closest abandoned room he knew - Moaning Myrtle's bathroom - and dumped the evidence into one of the stalls.
Now, feeling that his prank was mostly forgotten, he was sneaking back to retrieve the backpack with all the pricey items it held. Don fancied himself to be pretty good at sneaking. After all, he had broken the curfew dozens of times and hadn't been caught by a faculty member or a Prefect even once. He did run into Peeves a few times, which was arguably worse... And now, keeping his ears pricked for any sounds, he thought he heard the poltergeist in one of the classrooms he had to pass on the way to Myrtle's. Anxious to get away fast, the third-year increased his pace, rounded the nearby corner... and collided with someone.
"I swear I can explain!" he declared out of habit, thinking he had finally run out of luck and got caught by an authority figure. Then he realized the suspected authority figure was shorter than him, and younger, and a girl. Certainly not a Prefect and definitely not a professor. "Oh, um-- you shouldn't be out of bed after curfew, you know," the boy said, endeavouring to sound somber but only achieving sheepish.
