Chatri swung open the door of the owlery, a neat parchment letter clutched in his hand. A Hufflepuff boy was also there, Chatri gave him a quick polite smile. He wondered if he was also planning to send a letter to his family. A feeling of guilt overwhelmed him when he remembered how long it had been since he had written to his own. He had been busy with prefect duties and the weeks just slipped by him. Still, that’s no excuse not to write to your own family, he thought, with another sharp stab of regret.
He reached out to a random owl and tried to tie the letter to its leg. The large barn owl look most indignant at this sudden gesture. It spread its wings, rose up and tried to land on Chatri’s head. “Ow! What the-” he yelled. “I’m sorry, would you mind helping me to get him off me?” he said to the boy near him. AIDEN PINE

The notion of owls for letters still made Aiden chuckle. As a muggleborn, he knew of so many methods that were more effective, such as texts or emails - though, admittedly, the owls were still faster than the postal service, so...
"Oh, hello," Aiden said, as the door to the owlery opened behind him. He saw a familiar face, someone Aiden had seen over the years. "How's it goi--"
Suddenly the Gryffindor was in a state, with the owl all over him, and a call for assistance sounded.
"Uh, yup!" Aiden said as he moved over and reached up, trying to lift the owl off the other's head. "Can you duck? I think I got the owl, you duck. Wait... yeah, I got it!"
The owl wasn't happy, from the look of it, and continued to flap and move about even as Aiden tried to return the animal to the resting peg. Still, Aiden turned his attention to the other, and raised his eyebrows:
