Across the Stars is an AU Star Wars roleplay set in 33.5 BBY • 15.5 years since Order 66 and a few years before the film A New Hope. The Jedi Order is all but extinct, the once benevolent Republic gone, as the shroud of the Dark Side has fallen across the Galaxy. But yet as the new Galactic Empire tightens its iron grip on the Galaxy, dissidents have begun to emerge. Whether they remember the Republic of old fondly, stand opposed to the Empire and its ideals, or are simply unsatisfied with their life under the New Order, these disorganised rebel cells have once again sparked much-needed hope into a dark reality.
As an AU Star Wars site, Across the Stars is committed to letting players have agency over the direction of the plot, as well as the factions warring with each other in the Galaxy. Across the Stars holds a multitude of skilled writers and welcomes all, from those who have never done a forum roleplay before, and those who have been doing so for more than a decade. Knowledge of the entirety of the lore behind Star Wars isn’t required, so long as you’re familiar with the core stories. However, as an AU site, Across the Stars does welcome both Canon and EU/Legends elements and does its best to hold a balance between both continuities.
