Xan likes to be friends with everyone. She's fairly popular as she's pretty charismatic and a bit of a flirt but she likes to be friends with all kinds of people. No judgement from her if they are popular too or not.
She comes from a family of mostly Ravenclaws, who usually work at the Ministry. She wants to do that too. But she wants to discover what she'll like at Hogwarts first. From the books she's read in their family's small library, she's mostly interesting in Charms and Transfiguration. She doesn't like getting her hands dirty in the garden.
Aspirations: Make lots of friends; Get sorted into a good House
Opinion:
Quidditch - Its super exciting. Not sure if I'd want to play, though.
Shrunken heads - Ew?
The Knight Bus - I read about this. I hope I'll never be in a situation to need it, though.
The Sorting Hat - I wish we still had this. My dad said it talked.
Liberamach - They don't seem very good to me. Just causing chaos for no reason, my dad said.

I think we need to trust the Ministry. My parents work there and they're good people and I trust what they tell me about Liberamach.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
Liam nodded in agreement. There wasn't too much to say about gloves vs. mittens really. He was more interested in talking about drawing.
"I wish. There's an Art Club, though. But I don't really like to go to big group things..." Liam said as he got quieter and trailed off at the end. His mum signed him up for art classes at a recreational centre years ago, but he only went once because he didn't like doing his art with a big group of people.
"Well, Greggy does too. I don't know if you know her. She's in my year too, but in Hufflepuff. She mostly draws muggle superheroes, though." Liam wasn't sure if Levi knew what those were.
Liam took the book and handled it with care as he flipped through the pages. At first, it was mostly just squares and circles, lots of practice. That made sense. This probably was Levi's first sketchbook from the looks of it. But then there were some other forms that weren't so simple and some things that looked abstract. At least to Liam.
"These are really good. No, I know what you mean. You have to watch people to be able to draw them. But I don't like to draw people. Mostly just nature." Liam was also a little limited because he only liked to draw. He didn't want to paint or sculpt or do anything else like that. Just give him some pencils or charcoals and some parchment and he was good to go.
Liam though it was incredibly obvious from everything he said already that he did draw too. He fought back a chuckle. "Yes, I do a lot. I don't know if I'm amazing but I know that I'm better than I used to be. And I enjoy it a lot." Greggy always said how great he was, but she was his best friend. She was pretty much obligated to say that, whether Liam liked it or not. He wasn't really looking for someone to critique him harshly anyway. It was just something he enjoyed to do for himself.
