Happy anniversary, TB!
Can you believe it? Its been 15 years! A little unfathomable, to be honest.
I just want to say thank you to every member and staff member, past and present - you've all helped shape TB for what it is and its been a great joy writing with everyone! ❤ you all
We have a couple of anniversary goodies coming soon in the next couple of days. I hope you'll enjoy them. <3

I recall first joining TB in late 2016/early 2017 (I think) with a muggle character and there was this party thread where I am pretty sure my character met one of Kit's characters at that time. Not even certain where to start digging out these old threads.
I then came back in Autumn 2017 and created Bailey and Jacob first, and never left since, due to the amazing online community here. This is also the only site where I am active.
Some interesting character facts xD from their first few threads here:
> Bailey has an owl called Tawney - which was mentioned in her very first thread on TB. She later on got a cat Chrysa who just had kittens which probably invaded Yester castle and estate while she was away - sorry everyone > Jacob was a wanted ad. I initially created him so he can participate in the Dodeca Tournament in Augustine - as he was meant to be one of the contestants. He made a really good friend while there, Eva Sorento and had loads of fun completing all sorts of tasks/challenges > Gemini's first thread ever was about skating on the Black Lake at Hogwarts, although it was freezing cold. It's fun to see that even after so many years, she still loves being outside, without caring much about the weather. > Bea and her brother used to enjoy playing pranks on others when they were kids. She still finds torturing others fun even now, but is more sophisticated in her approach. > Pippa is super new in comparison to the other characters, but her first ever thread involved helping a wounded squirrel and it was with her twin sister, Arielle > Viktor was initially used as a NPC and is julia's character (Max) old pal. Decided to create him when we realized it would be so much more fun to actually write down all those great plots. He is a super dark character, but was fun to also see him socialising with Max, Faye and Seraphina previously

15 years. That is an amazing thing to celebrate. I know that I joined TB in November of 2006, just after a month of it being opened. Through the years I have found TB to be my home in the world of RP. Nothing comes close to the feeling that I get when I open TB and actually start or reply to threads. I also get a great feeling of joy when I do staff things as well. I remember applying for staff many times before I actually got it, and the moment I saw Katie’s name change to purple it was a great moment of excitement for me. I was and still am always happy to help TB in whatever way that I can. I know that I may disappear for a few days here and there but I know that when I do come back and actually get to writing I will be welcomed back.
Some interesting facts about my character and their time on TB.
KATIE She was I believe the first character I created here on TB and one that I will always play no matter what. Back in Timeline 1, before Eliza married Blaise which Katie was a bridesmaid if not maid of honor for, she had a short fling with him when they were in school. The drama of the fact that a Gryffindor liked a Slytherin and vice versa was great. She became an Auror and then Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement also during Timeline 1, that was fun to do because she got to give out the Auror test, for those that wanted to be in the department. During timeline 2, was when she became a Quidditch player professionally, then went on the run during the Britain and Italy war, was part of the Order. She almost dated Harry’s son from the first timeline because she did not know who it was. She broke people out of Azkaban, and then went on the search for Harry. She found him and they got engaged afterwards. She became a teacher and head of house at Hogwarts, then left so she could have kids. Overall Katie has had many adventures here on TB and I can’t wait to see what happens next for her.
BROOKE Brooke started off as a Want Ad. She is one of the only ones I ever actually took and I am so happy that I did. She has grown from a shy child who just wanted to find out about her father, to a depressed teen when her whole family either died or abandoned her to a young adult who fell in love with her best friend over the course of years. She has besides Katie been one of my Favorites to write. Everytime I go inactive with her, and I bring her back there is always so much that she has done, and she has always grown. She has been through so much but it has made her into the Adult that she has became and I can’t wait to see how she grows and changes now that she is Married and is about to have a baby.
JAMES - I wanna say James was a want ad but not a want ad at the same time. I created him because Xandra had Oliver at the time and I know that his mom was taken too. I just cant remember who was playing her. We had most of the family at that time. He was and is my avid Quidditch Player who has a side to do what is right. He joined the Red Capes and also Libermarch because he wanted to do what was right. CHLOE - She is my newest character but is already off to a great start. The train crash launched her pretty well and I can’t wait to see what kind of person she grows up into during her time on TB.
Old Characters MELINDA - She was my first Triwizard Tournament champion from Salem, a tradition that I have continued everytime Salem is in the tournament. She was also the winner of that tournament. She became a Ministry employee in the department of International Magical Cooperation. She sadly fell to the wayside when I had to give up characters but I do have plans for her at some point.
KAITLIN- Another Salem student who wasa tournament champion however she did not end up winning. She did not have very many plots other than a few failed flings during her time on TB.
TYLER - My most recent Salem student for the tournament. I ended up having to drop him shortly afterwards but he was fun to play during that time.
Overall I have had many experiences throughout the 15 years on TB. It is hard just to write a few. If I could list them all I would but then this would be really really long. I can’t wait to see what is to come of TB and I hope that we get another 15 years out of it.
I'm so happy I found TB. It was at a point in life where I was likely going to give up RPing because I grew out of the site I was formerly a part of. I didn't want to stop RPing because I love it so much and because of it I have self published a book and can truly call myself a writer. TB was a new home for me when it felt like I was being kicked out by my previous family.

@bailey I feel like it was 2015? But I could be wrong. That was fun to read about all your first threads. <3 Eliza's was with Tommy Dayler, I think, who was the first original to join (other than me lol). He was a Slytherin and Giovanna found him annoying but he was kind of friends with Eliza, lol. And it's fun how a lot of your's didn't start as huge things like NPC at first or just to have a champion but have grown and developed so well over time. <3
KATIE MICHELLE POTTER Yeah you joined like 20 days in, I remember because Erin joined 10 days in and you joined 10 days later. lol So naturally, we were almost done term 1, lmao. Aw, I still say one of my biggest TB regrets is not hiring you earlier. I had no idea you'd be so amazing 'cause you were so quiet, I just had no clue if you were good or bad, but then you turned out to be great. <3
I feel like Ginny was maid of honour? But Katie definitely bridesmaid, yessss. <3 And omg who did Blaise not get with? lmao j/k There was that fake date with Hermione to make Ron jealous too, lmao.
And lol all the Salems at the bottom, poor Salem characters. xD
@cullen I'm so glad you joined us too! And I'm glad you found a new rp family. <3 Whether you like it or not. I still don't ever think I could publish, so congrats on doing that yourself, honestly it's really an accomplishment. <3

ELIZA MARIE CUNNINGHAM, I just went back through the thread. You made Hermione Maid of Honor during the thread but Katie was a bridesmaid. lol and I know my poor Salem students. I just do better keeping them when they are young then starting them when they are older it seems.

@bailey, If it was in 2015 then it wasn't me xD I didn't join until Feb 2017 and went by a different name. I can't remember who Nate's first thread was with and it doesn't show up in his recent posts anymore. I do remember his first boyfriend was Meepers Daniel Kipper who had no idea Nate was a founding Red Cape member and was upset when he found out because of the dangers xD

Then you can put like post creation date before a certain date. I didn't realize you get other options when you click on that 'til fairly recently and damn, it's a game changer. xD It's especially hard to find things for Eliza so it really helps, lmao.

15 years is an amazing milestone to reach! Though I have come and gone a couple of times, I find myself always drawn back <3
I first joined back on August 10, 2008 so minus the few years I've been away, I've been part of TB for about a decade - crazy to think!
Tori was my first character I made back in 2008 and she's definitely gone through some changes over the years from being turned into a vampire, to being attacked and drugged by a Death Eater, to losing her memory...
TB is also the only site I have ever felt comfortable playing a canon character on. Over the years I've played a few - I played George Weasley for a while, Hannah Abbott too. I also played Hugo Weasley as Joel Pryor when the time change happened and he got renamed due to having no memory of his time in the previous timeline. Tempted to make him again actually...

I remember Xandra talking me into joining and I joined with Morgan. I was so determined that I would only have him and we see how long that lasted. Now it's been 3+ years and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. I am so thankful for E and the other staff members making this such a wonderful place to be. <3
TB is the only site where I willingly took on a canon (Louis Weasley).
