Now that we're at 40% students, 60% adults finally, the rule has been relaxed a bit.
You can make 5 adults + 1 adult for every 5 characters you have (before it was 10). All the rest of your adults will need to have been students that grow up and become adults.
For reference, it would take approximately 1 real year to make a fifth year into an adult. (:
Keep in mind that if it gets below 38% students, we'll go back to the more strict rule again. 40% is really the minimum. Ideally, 45% or higher. (:
How to Calculate
#of characters you created starting as an adult
vs.
5 + # of characters you have / 5 + adult slot purchases
Example:
7
vs.
5 + 20/5 + 0 = 5 + 4 = 9
7/9 - 2 available!
