There's bunch of little stuff going on, so make sure to read this.

activity check-in This ends in a couple of days on the 15th. Make sure to post there or your account will be unsorted, even if you were active. No roleplaying posts are required. You just have to tell us which country your character currently resides in. Also, remember that Hogwarts and Hogsmeade are in Scotland. If you are unsorted, upon resorting it will be required that you tell us which country your character currently lives.

quidditch Quidditch will be coming soon. The second game we roleplay takes place in March and the Championship will be in May/June.

pokemon Pokemon is wrapping up soon. It will be finished next Saturday June 20th. Awards will be made for your current progress and your progress will be saved so you can resume where you left off when we do it next time.

theatre club production We will have the results of the auditions soon. Then, it's up to all those who are in the play to practice on your own in your own roleplaying threads if you'd like. Then we'll have the production at the end of term (May/June).

otm awards They're coming, but I'm very behind on things right now so it'll probably be nearer the end of the month. However, there are also some extra awards for other events that will be coming at the same time. (:

end of term It's coming up a lot faster than you think. Exam questions will be needed from the professors soon (you'll get a PM in about 3-4 weeks about it). If you're new here, we actually do the exams here. However, it's all multiple choice. Though whether you're new or old, we will be doing things a little bit different.

Your final grade or possibility of moving up a year or graduating will depend on 3 factors:

Exam (50%)
Roleplay (25%)
Class Participation (25%)

This is because it doesn't make much sense for people to get 100% if they don't ever participate in classes. But also, the addition of the roleplay means that those who aren't so great with exams can boost their mark!

The roleplay portion will just be posting your character either taking an exam (written or practical), studying for it, waiting their turn in the hallway before a practical, or something else along those lines. Please note that you're not graded on your roleplaying posts. Simply put, if you do it, then you get 25%.

Class participation will be if you roleplay in classes 5 times, you get 25%. If you don't at all, you can still easily get 75% which is a fine grade. (:

c-box etiquette Last but definitely not least, please remember that the c-box is for everyone. It's gotten better but for a couple of weeks there, it was getting a little 'exclusive' feeling. I know no one here was doing it on purpose, but there are some things that should be kept to private messaging.

If you're gushing about a personal thread or plot you have with one other member and taking up the c-box with that, think how others who aren't in this plot or thread might feel. There have been guests lately who told me they thought they weren't allowed to talk in the c-box around the time that was happening a lot. And other members have said they felt pushed out or ignored because of it.

So pretty much just ask one question to yourself: is this a discussion that anyone would be able to jump into? If not, you should probably move it to a private channel [PMs or Discord].

As long as we do that, I know we can feel excited about threads and plots while still keeping the c-box a friendly and inviting place for all to talk out of character.
