amateur quidditch league
If you want to sign up for the ADULT Amateur Quidditch League, make sure to read the following.
This is a league only for adults who are NOT in the professional league. They could have been in the professional league before but must be retired from that for at least a year. Current coaches, scouts and reserve players of professional teams are also welcome to join.
No previous experience necessary!
You are encouraged to join a team near where you live or work. So if any professors wish to join, they should join the Hogsmeade team if there are any spots available.
If your character was in the professional league for at least a year, they will get a bonus in the games (will be communicated later - generally will be a bigger time frame on things like blocking Bludgers and Quaffles or a head start on things like Snitch catching).
The season goes from March-August with the Championship Game in September. Each team will have 11-12 games per year (7 regular, 4 play-offs and 1 Championship if they are in it) so that's 2 games per month and a 3 hour practice session once a week during the season.
We will only be roleplaying ONE game per term. It will be between the two most populated teams as long as at least 2 teams have at least 5 players. We'll try to vary it up so it's not always the same teams as long as there are more than 2 teams who qualify.
CAPTAINS can be chosen once there are at least five (5) players on the team and they must have been on the team for a year first OR were a professional Quidditch player for at least three years.
