So I know this plot has been going on a long time and a bit of a stand still. Caroline Greysmark holding the country captive if they don't get rid of the pro-pureblood laws, forcing them to not allow Purebloods to ever step into the Ministry and if they do, they spontaneously explode and the wizarding plague is released.
For those of you who don't know about the wizarding plague and how fatal it is, it has a 90% fatality rate. Essentially everyone who gets it but there are always a small percentage who just become carriers who don't actually get the disease themselves (aka are immune).
ALSO PLEASE REMEMBER:
-- No one knows they would spontaneously combust if they go into the Ministry - they only know that 'dire consequences' would occur (except extremely high Ministry - the Minister herself and maybe Senior Undersecretary as well as senior Mortenero adults (have been in it for 2+ years), Order Members and senior Red Capes adults).
-- No one knows a wizarding plague would be released (same exceptions).
-- No one knows the fatality of it (except Eliza, Hermione and Draco).
-- Only the Minister and Giovanna know who is working on the cure - the Mortenero, Order & Red Capes members who do know just know that an Order Member and a Mortenero member are working on it together.
I can't really say all the details right now, but I know that some of you were interested in having a character die from the wizarding plague if it gets released. There may be an opportunity for that, so please let me know by replying if this is something you'd like and I can tell you the details of how that could come about.
