2002 - Father begins giving Hymn music lessons.
2004 - Parents got divorced, both eventually remarrying and starting new families. Hymn is often shuttled between both.
2008 - Hymn and his parents are informed over the summer that Hymn is a muggleborn wizard. He eventually starts school and is sorted as a Gryffindor. This causes an even greater rift between him and his parents who, unbeknowst to him, are afraid of him and his magic. He simply takes their disinterest in him and his life as being a result of their new families.
2009 - Hymn briefly runs away from home in August though neither parent seems to notice. They definitely don't come looking for him as far as he is aware. He eventually goes back before heading back to Hogwarts for his second year. This is also the school year that he strikes up a friendship with MINA RUSKIN after she helps him break into the potions store room and they go looking for mers.
2010 - Hymn experiences his first kiss with @zander whom he develops a tiny crush on. Though he still does not have as much interest in romance and stuff as a majority of his peers seem to have.
2011 - Hymn takes advantage of his parents inattentiveness to him by telling each he is with the other while really, he is roaming around Hogsmeade. Hymn gets himself five pygmy puffs that he often carries around with him in his bag.
2012 - Hymn starts becoming curious about his sexual orientation, people he's attracted to and the like. And approaches it in a very scientific manner. Hymn gets to know @matheus and befriends him. With benefits of the kissing variety.
2013 - Hymn is made a prefect in his sixth year which leaves Hymn curious about what happened with the previous one.

When the Valentine's Day dance had been announced, Hymn hadn't paid it much mind. Then he had noticed people asking others to be their 'dates' and he'd given it a little more thought. He had never been on an actual, proper date before, he realized. He made out with both Matheus and Zander quite a bit, his interest in finding others to do so with dying down somewhere along the way. Hymn had come to realize that he had a crush on both Matheus and Zander which he supposed made sense since he had no real interest in kissing anyone besides the two of them. Matheus struck him as the sort that would like to keep his options way open at a Valentines Dance and so, he had decided to ask Zander.
Unlike with Matheus, however, Zander had this way of making him confused and nervous no matter how many times they made out a little. So while he had been casual in the way he had asked his roommate to be his date, he'd also been a little awkward. Okay, very awkward. He didn't know how to do this actual 'dating' thing. So Hymn was pretty thrilled when Zander accepted. He was a little concerned about how thrilled he was but he was choosing not to think too hard about it.
He'd dressed in a suit and had another awkward moment of not knowing whether Zander wanted to walk there together considering they shared a room or meet there. In the end, he decided to go on ahead and wait for Zander by the entrance.
