The snow was settling outside, beyond the estate’s walls as soft singing was heard with vocal howls with it. The small strange ‘family’ as some would call it, was waiting for the blizzard to pass. The man that sat in the large embroidered black chair was shirtless, dark black slacks covering his fit legs while his well formed body was hardly showing hair along his skin. His eyes were closed, shielding his blue eyes from the fire’s flickering light. His hands rested along the arms of the chair, his nails well groomed. His facial hair was trimmed, a small golden brown goatee along his jaw and lips. His hair was longer than usual, slicked back, looking black in the light. Adjacent to him, was a woman, resting on the couch, a slick and beautiful black dress. Her hair was much wilder than her partners. Black with various lighter brown tints to it from the fire. Her eyes were vivid and watching the three pups along the carpet, looking up at the moving photo of the man’s mother who sang to them. She would glance over at him, wondering what he was thinking.
Scott Rosario was a proud man, one of pure wolf genes. His mother, bitten by his father, was a witch and passed it on. But his pride as a wolf, he never once voted to join Hogwarts. Instead he lived his life without magic, and never let it surface. He learned control to hide away his magical properties, only letting the wolf shine on the outside. He fought like an animal, thought like one and lived his life every day to every moment. He was a wild man, crazy and very insane. In the darkest moments of his life, he had been tortured, raped and almost killed. He took everything they threw at him and grew stronger, colder and more lonely. Once an alpha to a large pack, he left his post and stayed in his estate after his parent’s death. His mother was his only company, aside from his brother whom became a wizard more and less than a wolf. It was the changes he noticed, when he met a certain female.
Scott’s eyes opened, glancing over to meet the dark green eyes of the woman who stole his heart away. He didn’t smile; instead he wondered why she was staring at him. Most females would shy their eyes, but not her. She held his stare with an equal glare. After a few moments, he just smirked at her.
Bellatrix Black, renown for being a Death Eater and lover of knives. She would often stay with her sister Narcissa. It was until the meeting took place where Scott and she crossed paths. Scott was going through one of his moments, muttering nonsense due to his schizophrenia. Their meet was brief, degrading him which only wired him up. She had never see someone able to take the crutacious curse so well and actually beg for more. His smile was still in her mind as the memory focused in her thoughts. She had attacked him, biting him even. How he laughed and tormented her. It was after that day, that she couldn’t get that man out of her mind.
When the full moon came, she witnessed everything he was. The beast within, able to hold and sustain a beautiful composure and never bite her once until those few hours when he took her beneath the moon. Their conjoined hate and love for was laid all on the table that night. And out of it, came three little pups.
Both of their eyes darted to the three furballs that rolled and played with each other. Two beautiful girls, their fur pitch black and the single boy that was often quiet unless he was separated from his sisters. He was the leader of the pack, a strange and quiet demeanor that Scott often smiled about. The larger of the females was rambunctious, and often reminded Bella of herself with random outbursts, often biting at her mother’s hands or father’s ankles. They were the only ones to test their father’s limits. The last one, the smallest one, was quiet and resembled the omega of the three. Neither parent worried for their children though. Scott had high morals when it came to family, and though one may week, they are never to be left behind. It was something that Scott took time to train Bellatrix in understanding.
After hiding her away when he changed her from Voldemort, Scott began to see just how far he had fallen for this woman. Their attentions were all taken when the large grandfather clock chimed. Scott slowly moved from the chair, standing and giving a stretch. He glanced at the portrait of his mother. She just smiled at him. He then turned and began to walk out the back. Bella got up and followed behind, the three pups trailing behind their parents.
Once outside, the blizzard had settled and the snow was covering the rose bushes and contents of the garden outside. Scott glanced at Bella who began to strip her clothing, the chilled air making both of their bodies seem to steam from the extra heat. Scott stripped his pants and both adults let the moon cast down to shift them into their bestial forms. Five black wolves were standing along the porch as one, with several white and grey streaks along his neck fur, took the lead. The pups jumped and followed as the female picked up the smallest and carried her along the snow. Once at the forest, Bella released the small one and they went on to play in the snow. Not once, had the two touched, not once had they shown affection. Just moments after the moon was high and the stars were shinning, Scott went to her, nuzzled into her neck and nibbled it gently. She growled back, snapping at his ankles. He only would growl back and nip at her more as they began to push their body weight around, wrestling and fighting gently. The pups stopped to watch their parents.
Scott continued to give hard advances but Bella kept him at the edge, snapping and biting him back, prancing off some feet as he chased her down. It was when she jerked back suddenly and tackled him down, taking him by surprise and biting at his muzzle, looking at him straight in his amber eyes. He snarled and shook out of her hold, rolling out and standing. Both of their tails wagged a little as their noses touched some. A silent understand, a show of affection. Bella licked at his muzzle some as he only nipped at her ear and then ran off.
It was time for the hunt, and once again Bella was left with the pups. Scot ran to the outskirts of his own territory, meeting up with other pups that ran along the bordering pack as they greeted him with nips and barks, only to shy them away and do his marking. After that, he went hunting for a deer he was easily capable of taking down himself. Gorging and eating his fill, he ripped it apart to drag back to his mate. He stopped a few times, checking for intruders.
She sat down, listening to the babes wrestle and roll with each other in the snow. The bristling wind ran along her fur. She wondered what caused her to change, to want to be part of this. Was it the power he showed her? The capability of always having control? If her family saw her now, they would think of her as nothing, much like her cousin Sirius. Scott was something she had never run into before. Though he was not in tune with his magic, he was something that no one could control. Wild, insane and completely hers. Even his one night stands with other females, it was she that he always went back to and rested with. She was the one he would kiss. The one he would hold. Their affection was mostly in battles, and she would constantly snap at him, not able to help her outbursts.
The way she was, he simply encouraged it. Wanting to always see the wild side of the witch he fell for. She kept him on his toes, and he loved it. Every bit of it. He wanted to share his world with her, show her everything he had.
Bella’s ears twitched, hearing the forest around her and the rolling and yipping of her children as they played. Her eyes were set on the darkness, waiting for her wild man to return back to her, bloodied from the hunt.
He always did.

Ron and Hermione apparated on the top stoop leading into the Weasley house. Unlike George and Angelina, Hermione was able to plan their landing perfectly, and they both stayed upright.
Ron opened the door and led his girlfriend inside. Naturally, they were the last ones to arrive. Most times, this was due to the fact that they were constantly arguing. But their lateness this time was caused by the fact that they had just finished making up. In fact, neither were aware that this was clear on their face and in Ron’s messy hair.
The pair was greeted by George’s guffaw of a laugh at the sight of them.
“Have a nice make up, did we?” he questioned, elbowing his younger brother.
Ron and Hermione, who were confused by his inquiries, turned to each other. She noticed his rumpled hair, and attempted to smooth it with her hand. He caught sight of her flushed cheeks, which made his own resemble their color.
“Shut it, you git,” Ron muttered, wishing he would go back to wherever he had appeared from, and leave them alone. The last thing he wanted was for attention to be called to what they had just been doing. Especially during his first few minutes home.
“That’s not very nice, little brother. Maybe I should inform Mum of the reason you both were late.” George’s teasing nature was just a trademark of his glowing personality.
“And what reason is that?” Molly asked, coming into the room. She was followed by Ginny and Audrey. From the other direction, came Arthur, Charlie, Bill, and Ron’s own best friend, Harry, followed by the rest of the Weasley’s house guests.
Ron considered disapparating, but figured they would find him eventually. He reckoned he should just face them now and get it over with.
“Ickle Ronnie-Kins, here, and—“
“Nothing, Mum,” he said in a rush, cutting off his brother mid-sentence. His face now resembled a cherry tomato, as did Hermione’s; they were both immensely humiliated.
“Well then, welcome home, dear. You too, Hermione. You both look well!” Molly pulled them both into a hug, which the pair were grateful for. The action gave them a chance to gather themselves.
Arthur, who had an inkling of what might have caused the commotion, struggled to keep his amusement hidden. Of course, he figured his children were old enough to make the decision on whether or not to be active in that way, but he never thought he would see in a form such as this. It was much better to imagine that his children were still that—children—, who didn’t have a clue about the hippogriffs and the flesh-eating slugs. Thinking about it only made the fact that they were grown up all the more real.
Bill and the rest of the family began outright laughing, having finally caught on. Secretly, each and every one of them was glad they weren’t in Ron and Hermione’s place.
“What is so funny, all of you?” Molly asked. When no one could give her a straight answer, she simply shook her head. “Hermione, dear, we could use your help in the kitchen. Dinner is nearly finished now, but you can still help with dessert.”
Hermione nodded, grateful for the distraction. She wanted to get out of the foyer, where she felt every single pair of eyes on her—excluding Ron.
The women left to go about their business, while the men went into the den.
“Hello, mate,” Ron muttered, greeting his best friend. He hadn’t seen Harry since the day before, at work.
Harry clapped him on his back. “Brutal moment, that was,” he whispered back.
Ron nodded in agreement.
In the kitchen, Hermione was properly introduced to Audrey by Ginny. If she seemed surprised that Percy was able to get a girl such as her, she was courteous enough not to show it. Audrey admired that in her.
“It’s nice to meet you, Audrey. I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of each other from now on.” Hermione was glad to have another person whom she could possibly end up calling her sister one day.
The timer over the stove dinged, and Molly removed a perfect-looking golden cake. Hermione fell more in love with the woman. She loved cake—vanilla being her favorite flavor, as well as Ron’s.
“You get to decorate it, dear,” Molly said with a smile, placing it in front of her. In fact, looking around the room, Hermione noticed that each girl—with the exception of Fleur, who was still by Bill’s side in the den—was working on one of their favorite dishes, or the favorite dishes of their boyfriend. She could see that that was how Molly planned it, the clever woman. She would even bet that none of them knew of the purpose they were serving.
“But I can’t decorate a cake,” Hermione protested. She wasn’t sure why she should be decorating it in the first place. She wasn’t even a part of the family…yet. Not that she hadn’t been waiting for Ron to propose practically ever since the night of the war. But she understood that his feelings for her stayed mainly stashed away as he grieved for his fallen brother. And she didn’t love him any less for it.
“Yes you can, dear. It’s very simple.” Molly showed her a spell that would decorate the cake beautifully, and informed her that she could add her own little touches, if she would like.
As she got to work, Ginny spoke to her. “How is Crookshanks?”
Hermione smiled at her, murmuring, “He is fine. Ron doesn’t like the way that he plays with Pig, but that is to be expected. Ron doesn’t much like ‘Shanks, not since the days of Scabbers. I don’t believe that can be helped, though. He honestly thought ‘Shanks ate him.” She shook her head at her boyfriend’s silliness.
Ginny snickered. “My brother, always the daft one in the family.”
This caused both girls, along with Molly and Audrey, to burst in to fits of laughter.

It was late one night and a messy haired boy toss and turned in his bed in the boys Gryffindor dorm. He couldn't get the red haired girl out of his thoughts, she seemed to haunt his soul and yet she wouldn't give him the time of day. He had loved her since he first met her back in Diagonally six years previous.
James sighed and sat up on the edge of his bed. He had to go and see her sleep. This had become a bit of a secret obsession of his. Since the previous year anyways. He snatched his invisibility cloak. And threw it over his shoulders, and exited the boys dorm and made his way down to the common room. He noticed his two best friends asleep on the couch under a blanket. Not saying a word or even wondering what was going between them he went up the stairs to girls dorm.
Once inside James made his way over to Lily’s bed, and sat down in on the floor next her bed and just watched her sleep, she was so beautiful when she slept. So peaceful, he wanted to touch her. Kiss those sweet lips should he dare risk her waking up. And alerting the whole girls dorm that he was there? He was going to try, he was tired of just watching her.
James mumbled the muffilato spell. He then slowly lifted the cloak over his head so that he could gave down Lily’s beauty. He gave a soft smile and kept his hand read to pull the cloak over his head in case she was to stir. He smiled and lowered his mouth to hers. And kissed her ruby red lips. He gently parted them with his tongue. But only for a moment. He quickly pulled away, when she began to wake he pulled the cloak over himself and stepped back.
Lily shot up in bed and looked around. She didn't see anyone. "Is anyone there?" she asked not really expecting answer. But she could have sworn that she was kissed by someone. Perhaps even the same person she was just dreaming about. That was the messed haired boy with glasses. She couldn't bring herself to say how she really felt about him. She gave a soft sigh and after a moment she sighed and went back and laid back down to sleep again. But she couldn't she was wondering if that was just a dream or real.
James let out a sigh of relief and just stared at the now awake Lily. Her beauty seemed to shine tonight. He just stared at her. Her eyes were so beautiful. He knew he needed leave but he couldn't bring himself to not with her being awake. He had to stare at her.
Lily laid there she sighed. And after a few moments she went back to sleep to continue dreaming about that messy haired boy with the glasses, that she secretly liked but could never tell. She dreamed that they were together and married and had a wonderful family together.
James watched her from under the cloak and when he was sure she was asleep again. He walked over to her and whispered in her "Sleep well my sweet" And quietly slipped out and went back to the boys dorm. Once again not saying a word to his friends on the couch. Now he could sleep in peace knowing that he had kissed her sweet lips.

Sephrenia raced out of school on the first of April. She was extremely excited and happy and couldn’t wait for the evening. It was a special day and she’d endured the mindless jokes known to April first with a smile because she knew what waited for her that evening. Today, she and Ben had been together for exactly one year. She tried to find Ben when classes were over but she couldn’t find him. After a few rounds she guessed he’d already gone home to get ready. She smiled at that as she herself couldn’t wait and was truly happy. So happy she could dance all the way home, although she resisted that urge. Life was perfect right now. Just a little over a month and she’d turn sixteen. That was the next great thing to look forward to! She giggled and threw open the door to the house where she lived. Her uncle was busy cooking dinner for him and Aleina. She was grateful to Aleina as she’d practically begged the older girl to help her pick her clothes for that evening. Luckily for Sephrenia, Aleina had agreed to help her. Although one would expect that to be an easy task when the closet only held a variation on the same thing, it really wasn’t that easy for Sephrenia. She only had white dresses and a few other colours but white was hers and she wanted to make sure she had the perfect dress. She was pretty sure she’d driven the other girl crazy. Sephrenia chuckled at the memory as she threw her arms around her uncle. “Uncle T, where’s Ben?” She asked and her uncle looked up. “He’s getting changed. You’re late.”
“School ran a little late due to some silly pranksters.” Sephrenia replied with a shrug and a casual roll of her blue eyes. Tynian chuckled and stirred in the pan. “That was to be expected. Just hurry along. And no funny things, I promised camp I’d chaperone.” He said with a wink, making the girl roll her eyes yet again. She loved her uncle dearly but he wasn’t needed for chaperoning and he knew it. She may have been fifteen going on sixteen but she wasn’t going there just yet. She guessed they expected it because Ben was a few years older but he had always been patient with her. True love, or that was what she thought it was. Things had been perfect and euphoric for a year already after all.
Sephrenia hurried upstairs and quickly grabbed the dress she and Aleina had chosen and got changed. She even tried to do something funny with her hair when Aleina walked in. The other girl instantly walked over and started to arrange the younger girl’s raven hair. “Is it good?” She asked with a smile when she was done. Sephrenia looked in the mirror, smiling a little dreamily for a moment before she nodded happily, not sure what she could say to the other girl. Aleina seemed to understand though and she retrieved a little box from her pocket. “You can borrow them. I just thought you’d like them.” She said and Sephrenia curiously looked in the box to find sea themed jewellery that matched the dress perfectly somehow. With a squeal she threw her arms around the older girl. “Thank you!” She said and quickly added the jewellery. “Have fun tonight.” Aleina said with a teasing nudge. Sephrenia nodded and rushed downstairs again where her eyes fell on Ben. She stopped running instantly, smiling happily as she saw him standing there, dressed in a suit and looking absolutely stunning. He always seemed to have that effect on her, making her heart flutter and her breath catch for a second. Perfection himself. Sephrenia watched as his eyes found her, a smile growing on his face too. Sephrenia walked over to him, looking at him in near wonder. She’d never seen him in a suit before and she had to admit it looked strange but absolutely stunning. She was at a loss for words but her smile told Ben more than enough and she knew it. It was that familiar sense of euphoria that never got old. It seemed Ben had about the same problem in finding words but he just walked up to her and kissed her. They didn’t always need words when they knew each other so well. There was something so wonderful about Ben that Sephrenia couldn’t possibly resist it or explain it in any way. She was just lucky he felt the same.
Tynian put his last piece in the oven and turned to the couple. He smiled at them and turned to Ben, who had taken hold of Sephrenia’s hand and had that usual permanent smile on his face. The one he always had when he was with Sephrenia. She also had a smile that was typically seen around Ben. Those two were deeply in love and just perfect together. “Have good night you two.” Tynian said with a smile as Aleina walked into the room. He was happy for his niece. “And bring her back in one piece.” He joked, making Sephrenia roll her eyes. Tynian noticed Aleina couldn’t help but smile at. The older girl obviously noticed the way the two young lovers felt about each other. He was glad everybody in the household was so close. It was almost like an actual family and he was glad to know the other two felt welcome in his home. It had never been that way between Sephrenia and her mother, something that had always made Tynian sad. He didn’t really see his sister that often anymore. Aphrael had refused to keep in touch with nearly everybody after Ulath had died. His nephew had only been twelve when he’d passed away. On that point Sephrenia took after him more than her own mother. Shaking his head to clear his mind he noticed that Sephrenia tugged on Ben’s hand, heading for the door. “Come on!” She insisted, sticking out her tongue at her uncle. Ben just chuckled and came with her, holding the door open for her. It promised to be a great night for the two.
After a short walk they arrived at the restaurant Ben had arranged. Sephrenia’s mouth fell right open. She understood the suit at that point because the placed looked very fancy and expensive. Ben squeezed her hand to reassure her and Sephrenia picked up the pace again, still stunned by what she saw. This must have cost him a fortune. She had no clue where he’d gotten the money but she didn’t care. He obviously cared a lot to do something like this for her. Sephrenia looked around in wonder as they walked in. Ben himself got the instructions and led them to a table near the window that had a stunning view. The little lights everywhere and the people walking by without paying attention to the people in the restaurant. Sephrenia smiled. “Do you like it?” Ben asked.
“It’s wonderful. It’s….” She tried to think of a word but nothing sprang to mind. Since nothing sprang to mind she just smiled and shook her head slightly. “I just don’t have any words for it.” She said, looking at Ben who seemed to be quite pleased. He’d done a lot of trouble to get the restaurant booked so he was delighted Sephrenia liked it so much. Both were convinced that the night couldn’t get any better.
The night went on and both Ben and Sephrenia were having a great time. Sephrenia had ordered some fancy chicken meal while Ben had stuck with pork for some reason. Still he allowed Sephrenia to sneak a few bites off his plate because she was curious how his food tasted. Apart from that she gave him some chicken so it became a fair trade in the end. They both smiled and laughed half the time.
“But seriously though, they kind of backed off after I disappeared that one time.” Sephrenia explained. She’d been bugged by bullies last year and not even a beating from Cara Trickton had managed to persuade them to back off. One day Sephrenia had just ran like crazy and opened up a window, jumping out to transform into a bird. She still wasn’t sure how she’d managed that one. The bullies may not have seen her jump but they’d guessed it. Her disappearing into thin air to be okay the next day had left them baffled to the point they almost feared her.
“I still would have loved to teach them a lesson.” Ben said with a smile at Sephrenia. He softly stroked her cheek and tapped her nose, resulting in a blush on her side.
“That may be so but not even Cara got them to back off. They were pretty much idiots.”
“Yes, they must be. Cara is not somebody you want on your bad side.” Ben muttered with a smile.
“True.” Sephrenia agreed. “But I’ll be right back, I need to go to the bathroom.” Sephrenia muttered, a little embarrassed. Ben chuckled and gave her a kiss and Sephrenia hurried over to the bathroom.
The toilets were located not far from the counter where payments were made. It was calm at that moment but a storm was coming. A middle aged man in need of money had his eyes set on the restaurant. He had a sick child but couldn’t pay the medical bills. His son was dying and if he did nothing, his life would surely be over. There wasn’t a lot of time left and although the man had several job applications running, he was still unemployed. No matter how hard he tried, it never seemed to work. A desperation to save his son drove him to the restaurant, a gun hidden in his coat. He walked in, heading straight for the counter and started pulling the gun out. At that moment, a small white shaped collided with him.
The bathroom break didn’t last that long but Sephrenia had kind of been dreaming about Ben. She did that a lot when she was away from him, even if it was for something like a toilet break. It was the main reason she didn’t pay a lot of attention to where she was going. She bumped into a man and instantly apologised when alarms suddenly started blaring. That was the moment she noticed the man was holding a gun. Not just that, the gun was pointed at her. Sephrenia’s eyes widened in fear for a moment and she took a quick look around. Nobody else to aim for it seemed, everybody was hidden away. It wasn’t like Sephrenia blamed them, it was only natural. “Give me ten thousand dollars!” The man shouted toward the counter where a woman was hiding. “Or your guest dies.” He shouted but Sephrenia noticed his voice was a little shaky. He was afraid and somehow reluctant. She guessed he hadn’t exactly thought this through much. “You don’t have to do this.” She said softly, calm even. She didn’t know why but she felt like she could help the man. Even if she couldn’t, she wanted to. She smiled at him kindly, fearlessly even. “You can just hand me the gun and walk out. You made a mistake, change your mind.” She said in a clearly audible voice. A voice that reached Ben. He sat shocked for less than half a second before getting up and heading toward the sound. When he got there his heart nearly stopped at what he saw. His love was being threatened with a gun? How in the world had this come to be? She still was calm and gentle, even though he didn’t deserve it. Where Sephrenia just wanted to help, Ben was starting to feel like he had to punch the guy and lock him away for ever. Fury, but also a certain kind of helplessness. If he moved now he could scare the man and that could end horribly. Stuck in place he felt helpless and horrible. Sephrenia moved slowly though, making sure not to make any sudden movements. Everything would be fine in the end. She trusted that and secretly prayed to her father. If anybody could help her, it would be him right? Or maybe some other God but her first choice was her father. Outside sirens suddenly started blaring, a sign the cops were closing in. There was nothing they could do though. They’d be here soon so the man felt the pressure, knowing he had to make up his mind. “Just let go. This isn’t going to solve anything.” Sephrenia pleaded. Doubtfully the man started lowering his gun, realising the girl in the white dress was right. However, fate disagreed and a sudden movement in the corner of his eye spooked him. His finger which was on the trigger and rather tense, suddenly clenched and the shot was fired.
Time seemed to stop for a moment as a searing pain shot through Sephrenia’s side. It was soon followed by a warm liquid coming from the same place. In the painful silence something hit the floor followed by running of two pairs of feet. A few seconds later all hell broke loose in the restaurant. People started yelling and there were calls for a medic. Sephrenia ignored it all. The first pair of feet had fled from her and what had been done. The second pair brought a familiar blonde haired youth into her vision. She smiled and reached up, touching that perfect hair while looking into those blue and grey eyes that were swimming with tears. “Seph..” He said hoarsely. “I’m sorry…” Sephrenia muttered as Ben took her in his arms. She could feel pressure on the wound which only caused her to flinch. That hurt. She was feeling cold and dizzy. Her vision got blurry but she did everything she could to keep that perfect face as clear as possible. “Seph, please don’t die..” Her boyfriend muttered, stroking her cheek and kissing her forehead, clinging to her. Others still messed around to try and stop the bleeding. It was getting a little dark, had they turned off the lights? Sephrenia guessed not, which wasn’t the best sign. “Ben, I’m sorry.” Sephrenia repeated weakly, forcing the words out. He didn’t really seem to listen but she smiled either way, resulting in a hopeful smile back. That was lovely. He would listen now, wouldn’t he? “I’m sorry for ruining our anniversary.” She said softly, slowly starting to drift off. His smile faded and he held on even tighter. In the background sirens could be heard. Cops or medics? Sephrenia doubted it would matter though, she was cold and tired and simply couldn’t keep her eyes open. Apart from that she’d already seen him. Thanatos stood there, waiting for here. Soon she’d see her little brother again. She sighed one last time and moved no more.
Ben watched in agony as his girlfriend died. The pure and untainted white was now crimson red by the blood that she’d lost. She’d never really stood a chance from the moment that shot had been fired. He’d hold her and hope and wish and pray she could be saved, even though it was obvious that wasn’t possible. As she sighed one final time, everybody backed off but Ben pulled her closer. She was still here, for a part. She couldn’t die, she simply couldn’t. Not today of all days. He’d promised he’d keep her safe. He’d promised! He heard the bustle and shouts around him but they all seemed to be coming from another world. He held her close but she wasn’t as warm as she should have been. She didn’t move, she didn’t breathe or talk. “Seph please.. you didn’t ruin anything.” He mumbled, holding her gently and crying. “Please just come back to me.” He said as he held her closely. She couldn’t be gone, not after everything she’d done for him. He felt a hand on his shoulder but he ignored it. “C’mon, let go.” He heard somebody say but he didn’t realise what it meant in that moment. They started prying in order to make him let go. “She’s gone, there’s nothing you can do.” They told him and he sat there, completely frozen. They took her from him and as she saw her limp and lifeless body be carried away he just sat and cried. He couldn’t even move anymore. This had to be a nightmare. All he’d have to do was wake up to find the girl of his dreams. But she was gone, forever.
When he stood in front of the door to the house, her house, he’d stopped crying although he still looked like a mess. Covered in blood, her blood and tears staining his face. The cops were with him and they knocked on the door. Her uncle answered and those beautiful eyes she had suddenly came into view. Her uncle had that same blue shade. Before either of the cops could speak he found himself talking for the first time since she’d been carried off. “She’d gone Tynian. She’s dead.” He said and fell to his knees, once again taken over by tears. He didn’t hear anything of the exchange between the cops and Tynian, although he did hear the old man start crying. “Come along Ben. We’ll get you some tea and then you should go to bed.” He said, ushering the boy in. Tea. Exactly what Sephrenia would have done. She had always made tea when people needed comfort. The thoughts were dim and numb between tears but Ben allowed Tynian to escort him in, to serve him tea, to make him shower and to get him to bed. As he lay there, completely drained, he cried himself to sleep where no nightmares haunted him. No dreams tore his heart to pieces that night. There was nothing but a black emptiness where he searched for the smile of his love. The one that had always snuck into his dreams. That was all over now.
