I thought it was time for another one of these, to update everyone all at once on the goings on at TB currently. <3
END OF TERM
Term is starting to come to a close. But don't worry, we still have until September 27th, which is when the new term will begin. So that's at least a good month and a half of real time. (: But I thought I would let you all know anyway, so you can start to think about things like... exams. (:
EXAMS
Exams will be required if you want to move up a year. If you're new at that time and wish to roleplay more in the year you applied for, simply don't do the exam to stay in your year. (:
NOTE: Professors - Check your PMs. <3
NEWTS
If you've read about the fact that NEWTs are required for certain jobs (or remember the announcement about this in May), you won't be surprised to know that we will be having NEWTs at the end of this term as well. There will be roleplayed & written sections and you must do all of the subjects you are enrolled in to get the NEWT. You may only do the NEWT if you are in the class, of course. <3
Quite a few months ago, we said that if you don't get the required NEWTs for the job you want, you can come back to Hogwarts for another year to upgrade your classes. However, now we are going to be doing something different. We will be having a small school house in Hogsmeade for young adults to take the classes the need to prepare them for taking the NEWTs again. This is also the location where workshops, master classes and seminars will occur for any and all adults. This is mostly needed to know for in character reasons. We may host workshops and master classes for adults, but first we'll be focusing on the NEWT preparation courses for young adults. <3

OWLS
By special request, we will also be doing the OWLs, just like the NEWTs. However, unlike the NEWTs, they aren't required of you. But if you do the OWLs, you can get House Points and buttons for completion. (:
HOUSE POINTS
At the end of the term, the members who earn the most House Points (between all their characters) will get an award. (: You probably recently saw the Term 30 Winners being announced. <3 Here are the top ten so far:
EARNING HOUSE POINTS
You can earn House Points by entering contests, completing graphics requests, participating in lessons, doing homework and posting in mass threads. Here are the current mass threads where you can earn House Points:

Hogwarts Hide and Seek
If you ever want to put together a mass thread by yourself (ex. birthday party, Ministry ball, employee party at a shop or any workplace, general party for students, etc.), feel free. Just PM me the thread so I can announcementize it. (: Only requirements for House Points being able to be earned is that it's possible for people from all houses to participate, so it's fair. <3
CLUBS AT HOGWARTS
For the past few terms, we have had clubs at Hogwarts, but just this term are finally becoming active with meetings and other fun activities. (: If you participate in the clubs you signed up for, it's great fun, but you also will get 50 Sickles a button in your inventory at the end of term as a badge of being in the club for the year. (: Active Team Leaders will get another badge and another 50 Sickles. <3

GRINGOTTS
Have you noticed our GRINGOTTS board yet? You can buy lots of things for your character(s) like books, a wand, potions supplies, robes and brooms. It's a neat little way to have a place to be able to easily reference what they have. Grades, Prefect, Head Boy/Head Girl and clubs buttons are also posted there.
You can also buy OOC things, like a custom title or the ability to move up a year without doing an exam. If you want to make up any books to add to Gringotts, just send me a PM. (: We have a lot of robes now and we are creating brooms gradually as the years go by, since in the books, there weren't a ton that came out every year. We're also welcome to any suggestions for OOC purchases too. (:
