you know the story. in 1980, a prophecy is made concerning the future of the wizarding
world. severus snape overhears this prophecy and tells the dark wizard voldemort. the potter
and longbottom familes are forced into hiding from the dark lord. sirius black convinces
the potter family to choose peter pettigrew as their secret keeper over him. peter betrays the
potters. lily and james are murdered in their home on october 31st, 1981. lily's sacrifice
saves her son's life and decimates lord voldemort's powers. sirius black is framed, peter
pettigrew goes into hiding. the longbottoms are tortured into insanity weeks later. the world
goes on, and there is a decade of peace in the wizarding world.
but none of that ever happened.
in a world where sirius black becomes the potter family's secret keeper, everything falls into
place differently, and for the worse.
when no information on the potter family surfaces, lord voldemort redirects his plans
and goes after the other child referred to by the prophecy- neville longbottom. with no
reason to offer them the chance to live, and thus no chance for their love for their child to
save his life, frank, alice, and baby neville are murdered on august 26th, when their
secret keeper finally breaks after three weeks of torture.
less than a week later, a plot to murder albus dumbledore falls into motion and succeeds.
the ministry of magic is overtaken the next day, and with that, the war is lost.
in no time at all, the world is in shambles. a lestrange in the minister's seat, playing
mouthpiece for voldemort's increasingly radical decrees. the order of the phoenix trying
desperately to pull itself together with members falling like dominoes. muggles and
muggleborns being hunted down in mass.
