It's 1975 and a rare time of peace for both the wizard and muggle worlds. For the muggles the war ended with Hitler's fall from power; for the wizards it came with Grindelwald's defeat at the hands of Albus Dumbledore. Thirty years of peace is just too much to ask though. Things are again brewing to a war, for the wizards at least.The same year Dumbledore defeated the German dark lord he cast a spell... actually four spells. Four spells on four teenage girls to be exact. His actions on that far away November night would echo to the future and affect the entire British wizarding population almost thirty years later. When Tom Riddle's engagement to Andromeda Black was announced rumors abounded. After all she was only seventeen, he was forty-eight. It wasn't until then that those old spells came into play. Augusta Longbottom was known as a gossip since her days at Hogwarts so it came as no surprise to her husband the moment she found out about the engagement she was off to tell someone female. Her choice of that female party couldn't have been worse. She told the first of the girls to have a spell cast on her during that long ago November: Minerva McGongall now Minerva Dumbledore.Thirty years ago the Hogwarts professor was as far away from her husband's side as possible. She was set to be Tom Riddle's queen when he became Lord Voldemort; until she got pregnant. By then her mother interfered, that Riddle boy was just a bad egg in her eyes. Isobel McGongall had to get that boy out of her daughters live and so with Dumbledore's help, her daughter and her friend's, Pomona Sprout,memories were modified, leaving to believe that the child Minerva was carrying was fathered by a muggle and she never was involved with the future Dark Lord. Augusta Alexander and Xiomara Hooch, on the other hand, were made to take an Unbreakable Vow, swearing they would never tell a soul about the baby's true origins.Long story short the spells have gone awry. Dumbledore isn't quite as powerful as everyone seems to think he was. The spells cast on the four girls: Augusta Alexander (now Longbottom), Xiomara Hooch, Pomona Sprout, and Minerva herself have worn off and the vow voided. Now to use the muggle expression the shit has hit the fan. Hogwarts is already down one Transfigurations professor the question is how much longer will they have a headmaster?
