WELCOME TO MORTLAKE,
Located in the country of Australia, Mortlake is home to an unlimited number of preternatural creatures - vampires, weres, mermaids, gifted humans and even the occasional zombie. Divided by an invisible line, the city of Mortlake has become a capital city for the supernatural since vampires and other preternaturals were made legal citizens in 2008.
Humans are divided, some wanting to welcome the preternatural with welcoming arms while others want to destroy them - or at least rid the city, maybe even the country, of them.
The year is now 2012, and tensions are reaching an all time high as vampires take over city commerce, weres of all types flock to the city, and human supremists start to wage a semi-war against supernaturals, believing that these creatures will bring the end of the world.
