The empty room was only filled with one thing. Magic. Not just small traces but almost gravitational feelings of magic. Similar to that of the alter area they were just in, the alter, the room, all seemed to be linked somehow but how was the real question. " Enchanted?" He asked as he watched Juvia caress the stringers with her fingers causing an echoing effect. Strangle enough, a rippling effect in the air also matched the echoing sounds.
" This almost seems a little too easy... " He said with his head tilted watching the rippling effect around him. " I think we need a specific song but which song? " His eyes began to scan around the room hoping to try and find an answer. " Let's check the room and see what we can find maybe first? "

Juvia nodded, her eyes still on the harp as she considered Levi's words. "You're right. There has to be a clue here somewhere."
She turned away from the harp and began to inspect the room more thoroughly. The walls were adorned with intricate patterns, but nothing immediately stood out as significant. She walked slowly, her wand illuminating the darker corners, looking for anything that might provide a hint. "Maybe there's something hidden," she mused aloud. "Like a note or an inscription..."
Her eyes fell on the base of the harp, noticing a series of tiny symbols carved into the wood. "Levi, look at this," she called, crouching down to get a closer look. The symbols were delicate and seemed to form a pattern, but she couldn't decipher their meaning immediately.
"Do you recognize these runes?" she asked, hoping that Levi's knowledge of ancient magic might provide some insight. "They could be a clue to the melody we need to play." As she studied the symbols, she ran her fingers gently over the carvings, trying to sense any magical resonance that might give away their purpose. The room's atmosphere remained thick with magic, almost like a living presence guiding them toward the answer.

To be in such a majestic place but then to find only runes was rather disappointing. Levi searched the roof through to the walls. His eyes scanning as much as he could only to find himself embarrassed in runes. " They're everywhere. " He exclaimed as he lit up the room from the tip of his wand, allowing the light to penetrate the darkness around them.
"This is too weird. Maybe we should take a break? " He asked as he placed himself on the floor. He had only now noticed that they had been going on this adventure for quite some time now and never really had a proper break. His back was pressed against the floor as his eyes observed the roof above him.
He finally now had a chance to breathe. To finally let things sink in. " A melody would be nice right now, I'm getting sleepy. " The adrenaline rush slowly coming to an end, he wondered if they'd even get out of this sticky situation. "Incendio. " He spoke in a deflated voice. " Hold on. " He said as he began to sit up noticing the flames reacting differently to some specific runes. " Look, the runes glow differently with fire. "

Levi was right; they've been gone for a while. Juvia wondered if it was past curfew even, at this point. However, it's not like they have an easy way out of here. As a result, Juvia refused to entertain the idea of resting.
Juvia watched as Levi's spell caused certain runes to react, glowing in different hues when exposed to the flames. She moved closer to get a better look. "You're right," she said, her curiosity piqued once more despite the exhaustion settling in. "These runes must be connected to the melody we need to play." She crouched down beside Levi, taking note of the runes that responded to the fire. "Maybe it's like a code," she suggested. "The runes that glow could represent the notes we need to play on the harp."
Juvia studied the glowing runes intently, trying to discern any recognizable patterns or sequences. "If we can match these glowing runes to notes on the harp, we might be able to play the right melody." She moved back to the harp, carefully plucking one of the strings that corresponded to one of the glowing runes. The room echoed with the sound, and she watched for any reaction from the runes.

This room was the room that just kept on giving. " So if it only highlights specific runes... " He began as he shot a few more fire spells in the air trying to identify which runes were lighting up. He had originally cast the spell toward the middle of the room to give them a source of heat to avoid the thought of hunger. " How do we know if some of these are traps? " A thought then popped into his head.
" If we play the wrong melody, something might happen. Something not good either. " He responded as he took a gulp and continued to illuminate the room as much as he could in a safe manner. " C. G. G. E. A. " He called out seeing a pattern of letters. " Wait, these are notes?" He said as he walked over to the harp as he began to hover his hand over the harp.
" If this is incorrect, something bad might happen. " He said as he nervously bit his bottom lip. " What do you think we should do? " He asked looking over to Juvia waiting to see what she would say.

Juvia's mind raced as she considered Levi's words. He was right; there was a real risk in playing the wrong melody. But she couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency, a need to solve this puzzle and find a way out of this strange situation. She took a deep breath, her eyes scanning the glowing runes and then looking at Levi. "I think you're right," she said calmly. "We need to be very careful. But we've come this far, and I don't think we have much choice."
She approached the harp, her fingers hovering just above the strings. "Let's go through this together," she said, her voice steady despite the tension. "I'll play the notes you call out. If we take it slow and stay alert, we might be able to do this safely." Juvia started with the first note Levi had identified. "C," she said softly, plucking the corresponding string on the harp. The note echoed through the room, and she glanced at the runes to see if there was any change. When nothing happened, she nodded slightly. "Next one."
"G," she continued, plucking the string with a steady hand. She watched the runes again, her heart pounding in her chest. So far, so good. They repeated the process for each note Levi had identified: G, E, and A. As she played each note, the room seemed to respond subtly, as if acknowledging their efforts. The glowing runes pulsed in rhythm with the melody, creating an almost hypnotic effect. "We're doing it," Juvia whispered, a hint of excitement in her voice. "Just one more note to go."
With one final, confident pluck, Juvia played the last note, A. The room vibrated with the completed melody, and the runes glowed even brighter, their light now almost blinding. For a moment, everything was still. Then, with a soft hum, the glowing runes began to rearrange themselves, forming a new pattern that pointed towards a hidden door at the far end of the room.

" I don't even know how far we've come. This really has been an adventure in all honesty. " He responded with a slight laugh. The two went from throwing snow balls at first years to intertwining into a web of adventure and now, stuck in a room which may or may not injure them or worse, prevent them from completing their homework.
" I'm kinda curious as to what will happen once we play a wrong melody or note. " He asked holding back his intrusive thoughts from the world as he focused purely on the notes that illuminated in front of him. One by one, the melody played a note till finally a vibration as felt around the room. " Oh now what!" He asked as he noticed a doorway appearing before them.
"Okay, I went first last time. " He said as he paused for a second to observe the door way filled with intricate runes. " Every time I go first, I end up hurting myself. Your turn. " He said as he observed the door way placing his hand on it slightly as a sudden electric jolt ran up his arm causing him to be knocked back onto the floor. " Well that was a shock. "

Juvia watched with wide eyes as Levi was jolted back from the door. She rushed over to him, concern etched on her face. "Are you okay?" she asked, and offered with helping him to his feet. The last thing they needed was more injuries, especially with the unknowns ahead.
"You are right, by the way, I should take the lead." She commented lightly. They've been at this for hours and no doubt someone may have noticed by now that the both of them are missing from their dormitories. Unwanted attention made Juvia ick, so she agreed to take charge in leading them from here in hopes they may get out of here faster. She withdrew her wand, ready to think of something clever to cast on the doorway. But first, she had to ensure Levi was alright before proceeding.

"Wait." He said as he helped himself up to his feet as he slowly made his way over to the doorway again. " I wanna do that again. " He said with a cheeky smile on his face as he pressed his hand on the door once more feeling the electric buzz sending him flying backwards again as he sat on the floor. " This is kind of fun." He called out as he did it yet again sending him flying backwards more than once and further than before.
" You should try this. " He said as he cleaned the dust off him. " The floor feels like there's a cushioning charm on it and it's actually quite enjoyable. " He said as he walked over to the door once more. " You up for a spin?"

Juvia couldn't help but laugh at Levi's antics. Despite the seriousness of their situation, his playful attitude was welcome. She shook her head, smiling as he got back up, seemingly unfazed by being jolted backwards. "You're incorrigible," she said, amusement dancing in her eyes. "But alright, I'll give it a try." She approached the door, feeling a mix of excitement and apprehension. "If this knocks me back too, you're carrying my books for a week," she teased.
With a deep breath, Juvia reached out and placed her hand on the door. The familiar electric buzz surged through her, and she was sent flying backwards. She landed softly on the floor, feeling the same cushioning charm Levi had mentioned. "Wow, you weren't kidding!" she exclaimed, a mix of laughter and surprise in her voice. "That was actually kind of fun." She got up, dusting herself off.

For a short period of time, Levi continued to enjoy the little shock the door was giving him. For once, he was able to enjoy the weird adventure the two were having while ignoring the dreaded thought that they might not be able to go back. " Okay so what's a big word like that mean? " He asked just shortly before placing his hand on the door to feel the shock run through him again. It was as if the door was a force field of some sort.
" Hold on. " He said allowing his smile to drop slowly. " The door. It's a force field. Like a shield. " He said noticing now the silvery shimmer toward it. " I think we need to penetrate the shield to actually get to the door. " He stated as he looked over at the door once more before drawing out his wand and pointing at it. " Any ideas? " Shield penetration like this only had a limited amount of spells that could counter it. Hopefully Juvia would of been able to come up with an answer.

After the fun died down, Juvia elected to ignore his question about what incorrigible meant. For her amusement, mostly, for the fact that it meant Levi would have to do actual work in order to understand her wide range of choice of words. She wondered if he would actually follow through.
Now, however, Juvia was beginning to feel slightly restless. She retrieved her wand and pointed it at the shimmering surface of the door before Levi could even finish his sentence. "We learned Finite Incantatem for general dispelling, but this seems more advanced. Maybe something more specific, like Expulso or Bombarda. I can only do Bombarda since Expulso is more advanced. So.. stand back."
She focused her energy and uttered the incantation with determination. "Bombarda!" The spell shot from her wand, hitting the force field with a burst of energy. The shimmering surface flickered but held strong. Juvia let out a soft curse in Japanese. Her patience was now getting tested.

" Nah tell me. " He stated pouting slightly at her smile. Levi had been naturally born smart with his magical knowledge but to have a broader understanding of the English vocabulary would of been fantastic. " What does it mean? Does it mean handsome? " He asked knowing he would have to look it up should the two ever get out of there.
" Stand back? " He repeated focusing now on what Juvia was doing. " Wait, I'm not ready yet!" He said looking around to find a place to hide from the shattering bits which he presumed would go flying. He braced for nothing as the silver forcefield remained in tact albeit a small crack. " Let me try something. " He said standing to his feet as he took a deep breath.
" You've already cracked it, so it should be easy from here. " He stated as he stared at the wall noticing how it had a slight convex around the door. "Depulso!" He called out watching the force field dent inward creating a concave structure and in return, push the door open at the same time. " Okay, shall we?"

Levi's persistence amused her, allowing Juvia to chuckle briefly. But still, she held her ground. Nothing good ever came from being submissive to men, is a lesson taught to her early on by her mother that stuck to her like glue. She watched Levi's spellwork with admiration. The way he managed to manipulate the force field with Depulso was impressive. "Nice job," she said, giving him an encouraging smile.
She led the way into the passage, her wand held high to illuminate the path. The air felt cooler and carried a slight draft, hinting at an open space somewhere ahead. Each step echoed softly, adding to the eerie atmosphere. "Do you think this will lead us back to where we started?" she asked, trying to keep the conversation light. The weight of getting into trouble was now strong, and Juvia was doing her best to not think about it.

Even Levi was quite impressed at how well his magic had worked against the force field. Even he started to doubt the integrity of the so called force field if a simple depulso spell was able to cause it to convex and in return, blast the door open. " Really makes you wonder how certain people made this. Like, what was the purpose? " Someone must of built this room and to what purpose? To drive the people mad with the room? Keep them from getting to something?
His eyes shifted over to Juvia's words coming out of her mouth. " Only one way to find out. " Should the passageway lead them somewhere exciting, dangerous or just another puzzle room, Levi knew he had to be prepared. " You go first. " He said losing count on who's turn it was to lead. It's fascinating how they were able to form such a system with everything that was happening.
