Nicha sat in the center of the Hufflepuff common room on a sunny weekend afternoon, an abandoned Ancient Runes essay on the table before her and a sketchbook on her knees. She had been unable to concentrate on her homework, not only because it was for her least favourite class, but her mind had been wandering to a lot of other issues that frustrated her recently.

Hence she thought it would be good to put a pause on torturing herself with the assignment and relax for a while. One of her hobbies was art, so naturally she had her sketchbook and pencil out for this occasion. Nicha tucked some stray hair behind her ear, drew her knees closer and began to draw, hoping for inspiration to strike.

Jarod walked around Hufflepuff common room. He stopped as he saw Nicha and walked over to her. "Hey there. I am Jarod Raines by the way! In case we haven't met befote until today, that is," Jarod said to her kindly. He looked around and back at her as he smiled at her kindly. Jarod looked around at those around them and back at her. "What do you think about this school?" He asked her as he was truly curious to know that. Jarod looked at those around them once more and back at her. He tried to be nice as he was a nice guy after all.

Jarod looked down and back at her. He didn't mind being nice or such to her as he was nice, so he saw no issues with being nice to her. Not even a little bit. As she didn't seem bad or anything like that. Not to Jarod anyway. He was raised rather well after all. Jarod just didn't didn't want people to mock them or such as he didn't want people hurting either of them. So not because he was feeling awakward or such talking to her but because he didn't want either of them getting hurt. That was all it was. Jarod tried not to think of that as he waited or her to reply as he wondered what would it be. He smiled kindly at her as he did that.
