rose minerva molly weasley
Birthday: August 1st, 2012
Blood Status: Half-Blood
Location of Residence: London, England (Dad's) and Rosemarkie, Scotland (Mum’s)
School: Hogwarts
House: Gryffindor
Appearance:
Rose has short curly reddish brown hair (it appears more red in the light) that can be quite unruly and likes to stick up at weird angles. Her round face is covered with freckles. She has her father’s blue eyes.
Three Characteristics You Think You Are:
Intelligent, Sporty, Tough
Three Characteristics Others Think You Are:
Opinionated, Outspoken, Emotional
Three Random Facts:
Rose is a night owl and loves staying up late to look at the stars.
Her favourite Quidditch team is the Holyhead Harpies.
Her favourite place in the world is her dad’s shop. She’s spent so much time there growing up, and it always puts a smile on her face.
Aspirations:
To join the Holyhead Harpies once she graduates, just like her aunt.
To distinguish herself from the “Weasley gang” while at Hogwarts.
Opinion:
Quidditch: She grew up playing Quidditch with her cousins and siblings. Since the Weasley gang is quite large, the games would become quite spirited, and Rose learned that she had to be quick and tough if she wanted to play with her older cousins. She absolutely adores the sport and, at least at this time, wishes to one day play professionally (although she’s only 11 so that may change).
Blood Purity: She doesn’t like ever using that term as she doesn’t feel ancestry has anything to do with your magical ability or “purity” of blood.
The Ministry of Magic: Rose has mixed feelings towards the Ministry of Magic, since her mother and uncle (as well as other family members) were part of the resistance faction only a few years ago, and her mother is now the Prime Witch for the Scottish Government. Rose is mainly upset because they are the reason her mother had to hide away for 2 years, meaning she didn’t get to really see her during that time. To be fair though, she’s only 11 and doesn’t fully understand all the politics involved.
Astronomy: One of her favourite classes, to no one’s surprise. She’s always loved looking at the stars, so a whole class dedicated to studying them is her favourite thing. She also loves the Astronomy Club, where she can talk with other students who understand her fascination.
Harry Potter: To Rose, he’s just Uncle Harry. He’s practically family, and she cares for him as much as she does for all her other uncles.
Family:
Mother - Hermione Granger - 43
Father - George Weasley - 45
Stepmother - Angelina Johnson - 45
Stepfather/uncle - Ron Weasley - 43
Brother - Andy Weasley - 17
Twin Brother - Fred Weasley ii - 11 (Rose is older by 2 minutes)
Step Sibling - Ezra Weasley - 10
Half Sister - Iris Granger-Weasley - 4
Half Brother - Auberon Weasley - 3
Roleplay Example:
It was a Saturday afternoon, and Lia was slumped in one of the most comfortable armchairs in the common room (in her opinion at least), her class books stacked on the armrests and at her feet. She had her charms textbook open, reading the chapter on Levitation Charms as per Professor Channing’s request. Or attempting to read, as her mind drifted off.
First week of classes was over and Lia was already feeling overwhelmed by it all. Hogwarts was so unlike her previous school. To start, the campus was absolutely gigantic, she couldn’t believe how much space there was. The castle was just an absolute maze. She’d already gotten lost countless times thanks to moving staircases and trick doorways. And her classes… well, they weren’t going quite as well as she had hoped.
She had never been the most academically inclined student, but she thought it’d be different here. She was studying magic! It was in her blood, right? Or at least that’s how she understood magic to work. Then how come it wasn’t coming easily to her? Other students seemed to be grasping their classwork like it was nothing. Lia on the other hand could barely get a spark to come out of her wand, much less successfully cast a spell.
She heaved a deep sigh as she re-read the same sentence a tenth time before giving up, snapping her book shut and letting her head fall back in exasperation. Maybe they were wrong about her. Maybe she wasn’t actually a witch, and they’d gotten her confused with someone else. There was probably another Amelia Fletcher somewhere in England who should be here instead.
Worst of all, she was still alone. And more lonely than before as here she didn’t even have her mother for company. She’d been at Hogwarts a week already and had yet to really make any meaningful connections. This school was starting to look as bleak as her last one.
