Appearance:
Three Characteristics You Think You Are: Intelligent, curious, brave
Three Characteristics Others Think You Are: Curious, chatty, loyal friend
Three Random Facts:
-- Grew up in and around Boston in the USA, but her parents are from Britain.
-- Learned how to fly at an early age as both her parents are professional Quidditch players. Or were. Her mother recently retired.
-- Grew up learning all the war stories from her parents, but never got the gritty details. Was always curious what Britain was like because it sounded like such an adventurous place with constant battles and adventure. Tied with the super old stories of medieval times, she thought it was still like that, minus better technology and clothes.
Aspirations:
-- Make some new friends at Hogwarts!
Opinion:
Quidditch - It's amazing! Both my parents do it professionally. Or, well, mum used to. But she's still great.
The Knight bus - My mum told me about this. I guess it comes when you get lost? I hope I never have to use it.
The Sorting Hat - Mum told me about this but I guess it's been replaced with a scarf or something? Wish I could have used it. It sounds neat.
Muggles - I've seen so many in Boston. And I made some friends too. It sucks I couldn't tell them about magic, though, and sometimes we had to come up with weird excuses for things that would happen accidentally. But they're pretty oblivious. It sucked keeping a big secret from my friends, though.
Ancient Runes - I can't wait to take this class. I read a couple of books that mentioned some things about them, like how they're used for protective enchantments. But mum doesn't know anything about them and I know I can't take it at Hogwarts for a while.
Family:
Mother - Ava Parker - 37 - Recently retired professional Quidditch player
Father - Gruffydd Cadwallader - 36 - Professional Quidditch player, still in Massachusetts
Roleplay Example:
Linnea was starting to feel old. She was nearly 30 now and she didn't really have a lot to her life. Not that she cared much about societal expectations. But she didn't really have a job, other than being a leader in Liberamach, and anything career wise before that was just working at shops. It was usually Honeydukes but she was by no means a candy expert. She just helped her friend when things got busy. And then there were the odd-end jobs she picked up while travelling the world.
So no real career, achievements, and now she was single too. She didn't even really pursue Jacob that hard. They were just always together, never married, and only briefly lived together because things progressed that way due to the Big Threat and being fugitives in Liberamach. It wasn't as if they made the decision to further their relationship. It just sort of... happened.
Linnea didn't even realize how long she had been with him until he was gone. They had dated since school and now... he was just gone. Linnea looked for him for a while, but she couldn't find him anywhere. And then she got angry when she realized he clearly left her without saying anything. She didn't think that anything was wrong with their relationship but maybe he wasn't okay with the casual way they did things. Maybe he wanted to marry someone and really settle down. He couldn't have kids but maybe he wanted to adopt and have the white picket fence and a normal life with some woman in a foreign country. He surely wasn't in the U.K. Linnea knew that for sure. Unless he was really off the grid or with some muggle outside of the wizarding community.
There was nothing that really told Linnea that he did all of these things for sure, but what other explanation? She didn't want to think of the other possibility - that he might be hurt or dead. She did at first, but then she realized that she'd rather be angry at him and think that he's out there alive somewhere than think that something terrible happened to him. Being a vampire, he was vulnerable to a lot of things and it hurt too much to think of how dangerous it was for him out in the world.
By now it had been many months. Linnea hadn't stayed single the whole time, but she also wasn't dating someone. Just a couple of flings here and there. But there wasn't anyone she knew she thought she could love. Not like Jacob. She was sure that one day she would find someone but that wasn't her priority right now. A lot of her life since coming to Hogwarts was being in a relationship so maybe she needed to be single right now, especially when adjusting to being a leader in a large organization like Liberamach. It just wasn't very like her to sign up to do such a thing and yet she was doing it. It was overwhelming at first but now she was just fine. She definitely the Ravenclaw who liked to keep to her tight friend group anymore. She had to talk to a lot of people quite often but usually it was organizing things and telling people to do things so it wasn't like she had to engage in meaningful conversations with them.
Needless to say, most of her days were long and tiring. If they weren't out fighting, then she was organizing things at the castle or the estate or the other castle they were building up north. Linnea actually liked going there because there were far less people and those who were there were busy working so everyone was very focused.
When Linnea got to her door, she noticed some light coming out from under the door. She definitely didn't leave a torch lit. It would have burnt out by this time anyway since she had been gone for so long. No, someone was in her room, or had been recently. Linnea pulled out her wand and pointed it first before slowly opening the door. Her eyes were fixed on seeing some assailant or thief. There were so many in Liberamach now that she didn't really know or trust anyone. But if someone did break into their castle who wasn't Liberamach, that would surely be a bigger problem. They might have to move to the castle in the north before it was even finished.
When Linnea saw who was standing there, she let the door swing all the way open. She didn't move for a moment, her wand brandished in front of her body, ready for a fight, her eyes focused and staring at the man. Her body was ready to fight, in such a stance that was not welcoming. She stood like this for quite some time, not believing what she was seeing in front of her eyes. Was it really Jacob? Was it a trick? Was she dreaming or just too tired? Maybe it was someone else but she was just imagining him her all her delirium. Linnea closed her eyes for a split second and shook her head. When she looked back at the man, it was still Jacob. Was it Polyjuice? How could she tell? Well they knew each other for quite some time, so it would be possible to ask some questions, but she wasn't thinking clearly at the moment for that. "Is it -- Is it really you?" she asked a lot softer than the rest of her body seemed. She still looked defensive, but there was hope in her voice, truly wishing it was him, but not believing for a second that it could be.
