Sonnet 1 You will never know The love I have for you Through the rain and snow I hope you'll get the clue
Two years and eighty two days Always the friend, never more In one hundred thousand ways Forever and ever 'til love becomes lore
Through painful memories My heart beats for one Unheard by sonars And the ears under the sun
Never knowing what you had Is worse than being called a cad.
Ode to the Hawk Flying so high, you are but a god A god of the sky, a god of the birds So smart and quick, you'll never lose Strike like lightening, you'l catch the prize Oh great hunter, teach me your ways Show be how to be so graceful and so bold Teach me, oh great bird of both night and day Define for me, what true beauty is Oh dear hawk Lend me your wings So I may sore so high with you And for one moment Be the envy of the world.
I'll split my pointage with this account and Daria's I wrote both when in high school...so yea
Shards of Victoria Darkness encircles the frail form that lays broken on the floor A pale streak of moon light hits the pieces, limbs are strewn tiny, childlike fingers are scattered next to strands of delicate blond hair A small floral dress lays filthy several feet away A leg, an arm, a face....all broken into many shards of porcelain My favorite childhood doll is destroyed
Waiting... The cold stone that I sit upon chills every fiber of my being I hear my teeth chattering lightly
The sun has not yet appeared, still hiding it's warm face from the world
My hands cling to my skirt, trying to make it longer The pleated plaid tries to warm me
A sigh of relief comes forth as the yellow monstrosity comes to a halt I get to my feet and walk up the steps, now protected within number 62

This was very hard to judge as all poems were fantastic! But first place went to Fawne for Shards of Victoria (50 HP), second place went to Lilith for Ode to the Hawk (35 HP), third place went to Fawne for Waiting... (25 HP) and 10 House Points goes to Lilith for Sonnet 1. Congrats, both! <3
