Stijn Visser
Birthday: december 21th
Blood Status: half-blood/ half breed, werewolf
Location of Residence: Yester castle, Scotland
Former School: Rutherford school
Former House: /
Job: Poppy ward healer specialist
Idealistic Group: Liberamarch (was a founding member)
Appearance:
While he still has a young appearance that matches his age, his body is covered in marks that are proof of survival. Ever since he was freed, Stijn has locked himself in the cabin of his boat during the full moon. With no money for or ability to make wolfsbane, he suffered from new injuries every month. The fact that he is a werewolf is almost literally written on his face as claw marks are very obvious. Aside from his scars he looks pretty much like every boy next door. Now he has access to wolfsbane he rarely has new wounds but the scars never fade.
Stijn is always tan even in the winter as he is always outside. His most notable features are his dreadlocks, they even draw away from his scars. He is almost always found with a very worn camouflage print jacket and a dog tag with the very little information there is about him. He sees the dog tag as his identity and is very protective of it (it’s actually his dad’s but he never figured it out. His dad’s name is Stijn Visser but he sort of adopted this name because he was never given one).
Three Characteristics You Think You Are: unnecessary, survivor, still learning about the world.
Three Characteristics Others Think You Are: a little calmer than he used to be, touchy, warm
Three Random Facts: Hobbies: sailing, fishing, swimming, sea shell collecting, drinking hot chocolate milk, napping, cuddling with his friends.
Aspirations: He wants to work hard to become a valuable member of the Liberamarch and make sure that Five’s vision will become reality. No matter how hard it will get.
Site Integration:
He never went to school as a teenager but he managed to get through a full healing specialist course at Rutherford. Finally upgrading from an illegal backstreet healer to a fully licensed one. This was his final step into integrating into society and making a country his home. He specializes in combat and creature-inflicted injuries. An easy choice as he used to heal criminals back in the day.
Stijn was one of the first to join the Liberamarch then called the unbelievers. This would change his life forever as he had always been a free spirit who traveled the world. He had also been a coward his entire life, running away when things seemed hard. This side of him was something he came to face a lot with. Through the fellow members, he did gain a little bit of confidence but he still often felt like he wasn’t really contributing much. He especially lacked strength in terms of combat. He was a great healer but because of everything that happened when he was young, he can’t get himself to harm someone. Even if it means to protect himself. This was something he had to work on.
He did his internships at Mungo’s, during his last year the Edinburgh clinic got set up and after graduating he left St. Mungo’s to work there.
Stijn stayed at Edinburgh castle when it was attacked and tried his best to protect his friends. The loss of Five hit him hard even if he thought he got over it rather quickly. As he is someone who is used to losing those he loves, he thought this would just be like every other time. But Five was more than a friend, to him she represented hope and the good in human kind.
As someone who has roamed the world, Stijn didn’t do well being isolated during the lockdown. While was always considered optimistic, kind and naive he changed to a more impatient and bitter person. The core is still there of course.
Bailey going missing was the last hit. Alone with WILLEM TUINSTRA (discussed with ditto) he searched for a long time but eventually had to return to work because he felt he was abandoning his patients and co-workers. The Edinburgh clinic is a team and they needed each other.
Stijn coped through physical adventures. Something he was a late bloomer to. Or it was something he never was open to. Dating is still hard, it usually stays at flings or one night things. The main issue being he can’t really open up or share a lot, being a member of the Liberamarch. He hasn't been caught yet (because he doesn't fight at the foreground) but he has to stay low. So people often give up after a while. Perhaps it is also attachment issues, he is afraid to commit to losing someone he loves again. Rejection is easier to deal with.
Family:
-Childhood Growing up in an organization he called ‘the army’. They were a small group of hirelings (about 12 including the leaders) of no nationality that could be bought by the highest bidder for a case. It was a group of people that recruited and took in unwanted and unregistered children to train them to be soldiers or any other service from a young age. The children often stayed even when they became adults because they never thought anything about the world and wouldn’t know where to go. Because Stijn wasn’t the type to fight, they made him a werewolf to hunt down or threaten their targets. During the days he was deemed useless as he was a bad fighter so they trained him to be a healer and take care of the other children and adults. (This organization was found out about and the adults sent to wizarding prisons. The remaining children were given identities and brought to orphanages getting special care to return to society.) Stijn himself was rescued earlier than this by Maxwell McCree.
-Family by choice: while Stijn roamed the world alone on a ship for most of his late teens, he found himself reconnecting with Maxwell McCree who also introduced him to @bailey they became close as siblings. He later met Dresden under unfortunate circumstances but things ended well. A large portion of his early twenties was spend living with Maxwell, Dresden and Bailey until he felt treated like a child too much and sought independence. This is when he started living at Edinburgh castle.
-Family by bond: Stijn considers every member of the Liberamarch his family. Especially the ones staying at Yester castle.
Roleplay Example:
Lewis couldn't help but get more hopeful at getting to meet more human kids. This boy would fit right in with the wolf kids. Everyone else would have a blast with Wyatt around. Although auntie Eula would probably shake her head in disappointment. Still he couldn’t wait to introduce his first human friend even if they had to wait for the right moment.
Lewi’s eyes strolled over the messed up parchment as the other boy attempted to straighten it. When a (sort of) successful result was made, he clapped his hands enthusiastically. “Bravo! Magic!!” He was hoping the other kid could make something from the collection of words on the piece of parchment but they both seemed clueless. “That’s weird, is it in maintenance perhaps? Or a track that goes over both platforms. I’ll have to ask auntie Eula, she knows about this kind of stuff. But I don't think she went to Hogwarts but to another school. Something with a D.” He nodded at Wyatt's offer to meet at platform 9. “Let’s do that and see if we can spot other students so we can follow them,” he suggested. Practical solutions were required for this problem and this just might be it.
Sharing food was a sign of kindling friendship. The best way to bond was to sit at a fire and eat. His eyes sparkled with pure joy when told he could have more of this stuff. “Bro….. that’s wicked! We’re gonna have a blast.” Lewi would have to come up with something to share with Wyatt too but he still had time.
“Particular… Oi!” The woman disappeared, leaving Lewis with an offended expression. “Do these things just break that quickly?” With the tip of his tongue outside his mouth, he started shaking the card. After a while he checked to see if she returned but she didn’t. “Oh, well. I suppose I’ll just keep this as a memento. What did you do with your bloke?”
