Certain shops are now closed, some are mobile, and some are designated to a certain spot. Some are also non-existent now due to the nature of them.
Therefore, your character may become unemployed or lose one of their jobs due to the plot.
We are going to keep a list so once this is all over, we can easily add them back. Likely we'll post a new announcement about it and ask if your character wants to go back to what they did before - and list what it was - and you can decide if you want them to or to do something else with their life.
NOTE: Shop owners of shops that have to be completely closed will still retain their title. But you won't get job payments nor be able to have your shop.
NOTE: There's a lot of tags. If we tagged you with a message here where you need to make a decision, please reply here. Ones taken care of will be crossed out.
NOTE: If you're at Rutherford, you have to quit your job unless it's located at Hogwarts (only Starlight & Flourish&Blotts). We're not sure of everyone who's going to Rutherford next term just yet. But just letting you know.
Some of these changes and notes don't have to do with the main plot, but are something that I've wanted to fix for a while.
Any job title or entry in the jobs list should be their actual job. Not something they are studying or a hobby or something that they do every now and then. It should be their consistent employment. At least 15-20 hours a week consistently. If not, then it should NOT be in their profile. You shouldn't claim a bunch just to have a bunch of neat titles. If you want your character to do a job from time to time, that's up to you to say in roleplay, but it shouldn't be listed as their consistent main income.

Due to the nature of this job, it is currently non-existent. Please find something else for your character, or you can remain unemployed, helping out your community where you are living.

@yvette - Somehow Flourish & Blotts wasn't on the list. If you want to keep the job, she'll have to transfer to living at Hogwarts. And she'll have to help with creating books (they do this with magic, not a printing press, but it will be far more time consuming now).

He could work at Rutherford of course, but if he's just doing some lectures the odd time (because obviously his Head Historian job is more than a full time job), that wouldn't count as enough for a separate job title on TB. But you can always say that he's doing this ic wise.
@lyra - She's a full time Obliviator, so she can't really also be a full time thief. If you want to say IC wise that's something she does, that's up to you. It just won't be a title.
@rexton - I feel like it's illegal to work for the government in law enforcement and also be taking private clients outside of it. Like conflict of interest or something? So unless you're building up to a cool plot where he gets fired for the Ministry for being found out (let us know by replying here), then the PI will be removed. If he does this as more of a hobby, though, or are trying to help out a friend, that's different. Or like one off situations. But then it wouldn't be a job title here, which means consistent work.

A Published Author will be someone who's published once. Author will be someone who that's the main job. Like, they're constantly working on a new book and that's what they do for their career. So the job title in the profile will be removed unless that's their main job. But being an author as their main career will keep the title. <3
*** Unrelated to the main plot, but this isn't a separate job other than being a professor already. It's just an honourary distinction (unless I'm mistaken?). And if it is a separate job, then they can't be also a professor at the same time.
