Firstly, remember that years can only enter into the dormitories of others if they are in the same year, but they can go to any common room. They just can't go into the individual dormitories. There are also locks on doors, but there's no silly 'no boys at all' rule or passwords to the common rooms. If someone does try to walk into a dormitory of another year, there is simply an invisible barrier, like they're walking into a wall. And yes, it will hurt if they walk quickly into it.
However, this spell does not work on any of the other students at Augustine this term (from the other schools).
Also, this is where they all will be:
All Hogwarts students will be in the 6th year dormitories
All Beauxbatons students will be in the 5th year dormitories
All Durmstrang students will be in the 4th year dormitories
All Firenze students will be in the 3rd year dormitories
All Salem students will be in the 2nd year dormitories
