With the previous Minister being assassinated, there will be an election that will run for December throughout the country.
The following are the current candidates:
WILLARD BURKE (head of the department of magical law enforcement)
THEODORE WHITLOCK II (wizengamot; head of the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures)
EMILY BURKE (head of the department for magical transportation)
LUCIANO MORETTI (supreme mugwump)
All of these are canons who are available to play. Just message me if you're interested (they've been temporarily removed from the canon list).
WILLARD BURKE
is 52 years old
ravenclaw alumnus
wife died in the first wizarding war (1979)
has a 28 year old daughter
THEODORE WHITLOCK II
is 61 years old
gryffindor alumnus
has a wife (55), a son (33) and a daughter (29)
his son also works for the ministry of magic and is in the wizengamot with him
EMILY BURKE
is 47 years old
ravenclaw alumna
married into the burke family, so is not blood related to willard
has a girlfriend (47) (as they are not legally allowed to marry as of 2005) and an adopted daughter (13)
LUCIANO MORETTI
is 101 years old
ravenclaw alumnus
has a wife (99), a daughter (77), three grand children (59, 55, 52) and seven great grand children (43, 40, 36, 33, 29, 29, 26).

But if you also have a character who is eligible to run (at least 35 years old and having been employed at the Ministry for at least 10 years), you are free to let them run for office as well. Just PM me and I'll add them here. (:
If we have at least two candidates being played, we will be having a debate and campaigns. You will need to thread campaigning and talking to other characters, as politician do in their campaigning. For every character you do this with, you will get points which will count towards your votes. And then at the end, we will have an official voting too. The debate will also be key for the other characters to see where you stand on certain points (ex. existence of NDS, werewolves being banned at Hogwarts, Mortenero, the Order, the war with Italy, as well as other non-main plot issues that politicians generally deal with).
