I was wondering why there are not many threads hear listed as open? While I was reviewing recent threads the majority of threads seem to be just for certain parties or ooc games. How do people establish their characters? Are the majority of the plots that take place on this site prearranged?
To get down to it, not all of the plots are prearranged, but a great many of them are depending on how specific you want the background/history of your character to be with someone elses. Everyone around here usually just posts in each others plot pages with their ideas, and relationships are built/established from there. But, like I said, not everyone does this and there actually are quite a bit of open threads in the various boards and sub-boards around the site. Here is a link to the Open Threads List, which has a few that I'm talking about. Take note that not everyone has posted in this thread stating their open one, but there are more if you fancy hunting around a little.<33
I hope I've helped answer your questions correctly, do you have any others I might be able to assist you with?

Also, to add to it, it depends on the person. I actually prefer having open threads. Well, generally not planning them in advance 'cause I really hate that. =x Though sometimes mine do seem closed, I guess, because they are tagged, but it's just from a spontaneous 'wanna roleplay?' in the c-box, lol. Also, I think that sometimes people do change the title after it's open to being tagged to the person who responds just because they would prefer there not to be more than one person in the thread. I know I've done this before because even though sometimes I do like 3 or 4 person threads, sometimes I do prefer just two people as well.
