Welcome to TB, an all levels Harry Potter roleplay with no word count. Our purpose is to go through the books with one exception: the addition of original characters and what changes that makes.
We accept all beings and creatures in the Harry Potter verse including ghosts, veela, muggles and even centaur.
We have many active events ongoing for both students and adults and many characters and locations around the world.
Come join us and discover how your character can grow and evolve in the world of Harry Potter.
So I don't know if staff have noticed this or not but lately the Games section has been spammed several times a day. Each time you post in a game you get your post count increased and two sickles added to the account. Not only can this be annoying but its also unfair to those who don't spam the games threads.
Yes, we all have the opportunity to earn the same sickles as them, but when the games are spammed during all hours of the night there really is an unfair advantage.
What I wish to propose is for the post count to be turned off for the OOC boards. If this happen then no one can gain sickles from the games and would encourage people to role-play more to gain the sickles that they need for a reward which makes sense as most the rewards that you can buy with the sickles are IC rewards such as the extra house points (which could lead to winning the house cup).
If you need more info or anything please don't hesitate to say so.

I'm sorry, but I definitely won't be taking off the post count from the OOC boards, since they are just as valid, in my opinion. Taking it off would only decrease activity. At least for me, if I'm on forums where the post count is only counted for IC threads, I feel no reason to post in the games at all. A big thing about TB is being open for creativity and all fair possibilities that are within canon, but also out of character, being open, friendly and unrestricted. Of course, there are rules to keep the site running smoothly, but taking the fun of posting out of character posts for quite a few people isn't very fair, in my opinion.
However, I think that perhaps with the v.5 money code, we may be able to make modifications to give more Sickles out for certain boards. But already, you can get many extra Sickles from roleplaying in the Gringotts thread. And all threads count, so since class threads usually have at least over 10 posts (if not 15 or even 25) and you post even just once in 8 classes with one character, you can get many Sickles. Mass threads, group threads and private threads (just two people) count as well so there really are a lot of bonuses for roleplaying posts already if we can't work the v.5 code to help with even more Sickles for roleplaying. <3

UPDATE: With the v.5 money code, we absolutely definitely can set it different per category, so we can increase the amount earned in the roleplaying boards. (:
While I don't think that game threads should count for nothing, I do think it would be cool to second the idea of earning more points for rp posts. I like that I can still interact with other members in OOC and IC games, but also through rp threads. However, as this is an rp board, it would be quite nice if the rp threads could count for more than the games, since they took more time and effort. But that's just my two cents.
