Hogwarts broke with the house tradition to abolish house rivalries and a second newspaper came into being. Many people were not comfortable with the Ministry's influence on the Daily Prophet and so the Verity was founded, an independent newspaper sworn to publish the truth.

Lead by Kingsley Shacklebolt as Minister, peace could be upheld. Until one fateful night a murder occurs at the Ministry, the next day's headlines broadcasting the terrible news:
