Jarod sighed as he tried again, he failed before as the words just disappeared, right after he failed but this time he tried not to fail. He was scared thar he might fail again but tried his best just the same. Jarod also tried to hope for the best as he tried it again. He wondered if it would work this time or not as he tried to convince himself it would. Jarod tried to hope and believe that it would work, which was why he tried again without giving up. It ended up working well for him as he smiled at that proudly. Jarod was glad, relieved that it worked for him, finally. He looked around himself with a smile on his face at that. A proud smile at that as before that.

Jung So Min entered the classroom and sat near the front. She began to take out her class materials from her bag and put her bag behind her. While waiting for the class to start, she observed some students standing around and chatting with each other. She pushed back her hair and then heard the professor ask the students to take their seats. The professor went on to explain that they would be learning a lot that day and asked a question about what the fourth and fifth-year students would be learning that day. Jung So Min remembered the answer to that question. The professor then moved on to what the sixth and seventh-year students would be doing that day. They would be practicing the flame-freezing charm and Flammae Tepesco. Jung So Min asked the professor what this charm had been used for and how it is still used today. The other students started to answer her, then the professor started to speak and Jung So Min listened to what she was saying. Took notes on what the professor said, so that remembered it and she said they could practice their charms. She told the sixth and seventh years that they should review the fire-writing charm, that they also be working with the younger students at the end of class. She opened her charms book to look over the charm first, it didn't take her long to find it and then practiced it.

Was she good? Seriously? She wasn’t the one looking uncharacteristically quiet and lonely. Something was definitely bothering Henri.
Nicha felt that she had to know what the issue was to help her housemate properly… but her sister’s hurtful advice to “mind her own business” had finally gotten through to her the previous term. Now she knew not to ask people things that they could feel uncomfortable sharing. Professor Channing’s class was the worst setting to have a heart-to-heart talk, anyway.
“I’m good! And yes, the incantation is Flagrate. What are you going to write?” she asked Henri as she took out her wand. The professor had suggested starting small with the words. Forget words, Nicha was going to start with a single letter. “Let me try a… Flagrate.” A fiery ‘X’ appeared in the air following the tip of her wand. ‘X’ marks the spot! She could use it to mark the location of treasure if she found any in the future.

" Wanna practise together?" He asked the girl dressed in red while waiting for a reply from the Professor. He might be waiting for long unless the Professor chose to deliberately ignore him. " I'm Calvin. " He quickly introduced as he moved himself to sit next to the girl. " What are you reading? " He then asked following a series of questions that shortly followed. " You wanna give the spell a crack first?"

Having Nicha approach him to check on his welfare was welcomed as it brought his focus back into the class. " Uh, I'm gonna try something simple for now. " He replied quickly focusing on the task ahead. " I'll just with the word cat. " He said as he drew out his wand but only after watching Nicha attempt the spell. " Nice work!" He greeted with a smile on his face before looking at his wand. "Flagrate!" He voiced as he began to trace the word cat in front of him. A smile suddenly appeared on his face. It was one of the first times he has actually properly smiled this whole year. " Wanna try something harder now?" He suggested thinking of a complex word to try out.

Jung So Min practiced the charm a few times, until she got it right and wondered who to ask to practice it with her. She looked around the room, then heard someone say something to her and it was a boy from Ravenclaw. "Sure, I don't mind practicing it with you." Jung So Min said, she was glad someone had asked her. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Jung So Min." Jung So Min said as she smiled. Wondered when the professor would say something again, saw the boy move his seat next to her and asked her what she was reading. "I was just going over the charms to make sure that I do it right." Jung So Min said, as she pushed her hair back. "Sure, I don't mind going first." Jung So Min said.
"Here it goes." Jung So Min said, as she waved her wand above her head.

It seemed the girl didn't mind Calvin's numerous questions. Either she was very patient or she just didn't have a sense of humour or enough patience to deal with Calvin's antics. Smiling, he welcomed Jung's attempt and even congratulated her on such wand work. " Ohh nice. " He said as his eyes scanned the room trying to find something to write out. " Ima try wand. " He said as he waved his wand in the air followed by the incantation watching as red flames erupted before him spelling out the word "Dnaw." He took a frustrated sigh as he looked over to Jung. " I think I wrote it backwards. "

"Thanks, I am shocked that I was able to do it right." Jung So Min said she was still happy she could do it and watched as he waved his wand. She sees the red flames appear, writes out a word and doesn't know what word it is. She was looking at him, when he looked over at her and then he said something. "What were you trying to write?" Jung So Min asked, trying to figure out what the word was. She started to think about the other thing they had to practice, "Why don't try it again." Jung So Min said to him, wouldn't mind him going again.

Jarod was grateful that it worked for him. Even if for a bit there he feared that it might not really work for him all that well. Yet, he believed it would work or tried, in order not to jinx himself or anything like that. Which ended up paying off. Jarod did repeat a year, that was true but he still tried his best, especially in hopes of not having to repeat the year again as he refused to have to repeat the year a second time. This time he hoped to finish this year and go to the next, up until he finally graduated. Jarod believed that he could do that, so he worked even harder this time in order to graduate. He refused to give up until he was able to finally graduate. That mattered a lot to Jarod, no matter what. He believed that he could do that and planned to prove that, no matter what. Jarod planned to be presistent until it finally worked out for him, even if it wasn't all that easy thing for him to do. That moment was not any different. Not to Jarod, anyway.

Seeing Henri genuinely smile brought a bigger smile onto Nicha’s face. The problem that was bugging him might not have been resolved, but perhaps it was not so bad an issue that learning new magic and casting it successfully on the first try still managed to bring him happiness. “Thanks. You did well too!” she congratulated and nodded in response to his suggestion. She definitely wanted to try applying the charm on something harder than just one alphabet.
“I dare you to try writing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” The smirk on her face revealed that she was joking, but she was actually curious to see if anybody could write with fire the most complex word she knew (from watching a Muggle film), and how Professor Channing would react if she saw the long nonsense word.

It seemed Jung had caught onto the spell rather quickly as she was able to conjure her letters perfectly. “ I was trying to write out wand. “ He replied lifting his wand in the air and twirling it between two fingers. “I’ll try something a little easier.” He suggested as he cast the spell once more, this time being able to spell out the word HAT but shortly after found himself sneezing trailing the last letter to form multiple times. “ Well it seems it’s HAT-T-T-T-T-T now.” He laughed before looking back at Jung.

Annabelle was proud of herself that her spell worked on her first try. She tried not to think of that as she looked around herself proudly. She was ready to help those who needed help if it came to it. Annabelle wasn't exactly about helping muggle borns or half breeds but if she had no way around it then she would. Also she did hope that it won't come to that but was ready for anything just in case. Despite the fact that she definitely hoped that it won't come down to that but she was ready for anything or so she thought as well as believed anyway. As Annabelle tried not to think of that as she hoped for the best as she focused on the class and nothing else but that. Given that she had to keep focusing on the classes and nothing else but that, which she knew rather well and that was exactly what she tried to do and exactly what she did.

She practiced writing her word a few times, not wanting to mess it up, until she finally got it right. "Oh, okay. Now that I think about it, that's what it looked like," Jung So Min said, realizing that was what he was trying to spell. "Alright," Jung So Min said, watching him try again. She saw him spell out the word "hat," but he sneezed and ended up adding a few more "T's" to it. She started to laugh along with him. "It's okay, at least it came out right this time," Jung So Min said, continuing to laugh.

Levi reading out the paper made him laugh but the sound coming out wasn’t like regular laughter. It was also rather painful so he quickly tried to stop. Levi was always such a silly guy.
Lewis bit his lip, it was clear that the Ravenclaw had a change in his tone. He couldn’t help but feel guilty. Quickly he took another piece of parchment and scribbled down. ‘Let’s practise together after class and eat all the snacks!’.
He wasn’t even sure if he could do his exams this year. How was he supposed to cast a spell without being able to vocalise it? He glanced at the professor, should he ask for help? Ask if it were possible to perform spells non verbally? But Channing was terrifying and probably didn’t have the patience to deal with him.
He glanced at the fire he was supposed to be practising on. Well he might as well try even if nothing came out of it. Lewis performed the movements perfectly but when he reached out to touch the flame it still burned his finger tips. He yelped again, not much sound coming out of his mouth. His eyes shot into the direction of the teacher once more.

Riko had gathered her belongings for class, and as she heard the professor instructing the students to take their seats, she looked up. She paid close attention to what the professor was saying, recalling the fire-writing charm and finding it quite fascinating. The professor mentioned that the seventh years would be practicing the flame-freezing charm, and Riko was pleased to be learning about it. When the professor posed a question to the class, she tried to think of the answer. A girl spoke up to answer the question, and Riko listened carefully to her response. She then paid attention to the contributions of other students. When the professor resumed speaking to address questions from the students, Riko took notes on the information being provided. The professor told them to practice their charm with a partner or in a small group, she was pretty good at doing it and thought wouldn't hurt to go over it. She went over it a few times, still good at it and opened her book to go over the flame-freezing charm. She read it over a couple of times, looked toward the front of the room and then looked around the room to find someone to ask to be her partner.
