Things at Hogwarts were back into routine. Christmas break had been a couple of months ago now and everyone was settled into the normal way of things at Hogwarts. There also were the ever-looming exams coming up in four months that weighed on everyone's minds, some more than others. Lottie was glad she wasn't a fifth year. That was forever into the future! Although it really wasn't that far away, if she thought about it (which she didn't want to do). But she still was a third year and that meant that she had more classes this term than last year. New ones too.
But Lottie didn't want to worry about all of that right now. She was carrying a bag of Bertie Botts and waiting outside Ravenclaw Tower with her friend. They were going to hang out today. It was Saturday, so they had all the time in the world. They hadn't decided yet what to do, but even if they were walking around the castle and chatting, that would be fine with Lottie.

It has been a couple of months since the Christmas break has been over, Lee Ji-Hyun has gotten back into her routine at school and not looking for to her exams. Right now, she is busy with classes, studying and trying to get herself ready for the exams. However, she has heard that fifth-year exams are harder than fourth-year exams and she wasn't forward to that at all. She decided not to worry about her exams too much right now, she was on her way to meet her friend Lottie by the Ravenclaw Tower and it was Saturday.
They hung out together for a little while, couldn't wait to spend time with her and tried to think of what they could do. She made her way to the Tower, it didn't take her that long to get there and sees Lottie standing there.
"Hey! Lottie." Lee Ji-Hyun said, waved and walked over to her.

"Oh hey!" Lottie was surprised to see her friend coming from a direction she didn't expect. "I thought you'd be in the tower," she said with a little giggle. "I could have met you somewhere closer if you wanted." But it didn't matter now, they were together and the day was their's!
"So what do you want to do? We could go to the lake or try to find a secret room somewhere. Someone told me there was a swimming pool here once!" Lottie wasn't sure if that was true, but you never knew with Hogwarts.

When Lee Ji-Hyun was close enough to her, stopped walking and catching her breath from walking kind of fast, didn't want Lottie waiting too long. "I had to drop off a book that I took out of the library first. It's fine, I needed the exercise." Lee Ji-Hyun said, which is true. She isn't in shape and needs to start exercising more.
"The lake is my favorite place at Hogwarts, but we can do whatever. I am up for whatever you want to do. Oh really, I did not know that." Lee Ji-Hyun said, as she put her hands in the pockets of her pants. She didn't know what the weather was like outside today, wasn't big fan of the cold weather and waited for Lottie to say something.

"Ah, okay," Lottie said. The Library was always a fun place to go to. She wouldn't have minded. But now they didn't have to think about books and school and things like that. At least not for a little while!
"I love the lake too." Lottie smiled. "But usually when it's warmer." She chuckled. It was warming up but still wasn't a great place to be in the winter time. "We could go try to find that swimming pool if you'd like?" Even if they couldn't find it, it could end up being a bit of an adventure around the school! And it was their day off and daytime so hopefully no one would give them any trouble for snooping around different corridors and rooms to find it.

Lee Ji-Hyun nods her head, "Yeah, it was kind of overdue." Lee Ji-Hyun said, it was the first time she returned a book late to the library and that bothered her. She didn't want to think about it anymore, wanted to enjoy hanging out with Lottie and have some fun.
"I remember you do also." Lee Ji-Hyun said, as she smiled back and it was the one thing they had in common. "Yeah, when it is warmer out is the best time to go out to the lake." Lee Ji-Hyun said, as she laughed. She didn't really go out to the lake during the wintertime, unless she really wanted to get some fresh air. "Yeah, we can do that. I am kind of curious to see if it is actually true or not." Lee Ji-Hyun said, her older siblings never told her anything about that. Even if they can't find it, at least they will have fun trying to find it and it will be an exciting adventure.

"Oh yeah, I hear the Librarian really doesn't like that." She wasn't super old by any means, though to a couple of young teens, she probably seemed it. Some of her kids even were at Hogwarts too. But a librarian didn't have much else to care about, Lottie thought.
"Yeah, same!" Lottie sure hoped it was real but hopefully they'd have fun anyway.
"Where should we start? Do you think it would be down on the third floor?" There was always something creepy about that area. Lottie heard that part of it used to be forbidden but that could have been a rumour too.

Lee Ji-Hyun nods her head, "Yeah, she did yell at me for a little bit for bringing the book back late." Lee Ji-Hyun said, it was embarrassing because people in the library were watching it happening. The lady wasn't that old, though she was way older than her and she looked about the same age as her older brother to her.
"Yeah." Lee Ji-Hyun said, as she laughed.
"I don't know, we can start there if you want." Lee Ji-Hyun said, she heard people it is creepy on that floor and she didn't really go in that area. She also knew part of the floor was forbidden or so she heard people say and wasn't too sure about that.

"It sucks you got in trouble for liking a book too much!" Or maybe she was late for other reasons, but it could be that. Of course, other people might need the book, but the Library was so big, they could deal with it. "Oh, well. That's over with. The fun begins!"
"Okay, let's go!" They went towards the marble staircase, which would take them to the third floor. "So what's new with you?" They hadn't talked for a little bit, hence the hang out. Lottie wanted to know what was going on with her friend lately.

"It was really embarrassing, everyone who was in the library saw her yelling at me. As soon as she was done, I ran out there." Lee Ji-Hyun said, didn't anyone see if she started crying. "Yeah, I am ready to forget about it." Lee Ji-Hyun said.
"Lead the way." Lee Ji-Hyun said, as she smiled. They started walking toward the staircase, which led to the third floor and looked at Lottie, when she asked her something. "Not much, just glad to have finished studying and doing homework. Oh, you know my guy childhood friend?" Lee Ji-Hyun said.

Lottie let out an annoyed sigh. "That's not okay. What's to be gained from embarrassing anyone ever?" She rolled her eyes a little. "But yes, let's forget her and all the stuff before right now!" Well maybe not everything. They still had to remember stuff for exams!
"That's a good feeling when you get all that out of the way," Lottie said. But then Lee mentioned a guy, and there was something different in her tone. Lottie leaned against the railing on the stairway. "Oooo, yes I do." She said, insinuating a little. "What about him?"

"Well, I am putting it behind me and never think about it again." Lee Ji-Hyun said, she just wanted to forget about it. "Yeah, let's keep our mind on finding out if this school really does have a pool or not." Lee Ji-Hyun said.
"Yeah, it is. I like to make sure, I can turn in the homework on time." Lee Ji-Hyun said, put hand inside the pocket of her pants. "Well, I think I am starting to like him more than a friend now." Lee Ji-Hyun said.

It was such a Ravenclaw thing to say, happy about turning homework in on time. At least, stereotypically Ravenclaw, though that didn't mean that only Ravenclaws cared about homework. "Yes I love it too. It's like... it brings peace to your mind, you know? You can focus on other things and enjoy life when the homework is done. Otherwise, you're sitting there worrying about it constantly." There were times when Lottie had to worry about it because she was busy with Quidditch practice or something else, but she liked to not be in that situation whenever she could manage it.
"Well no duh!" Lottie said with a giggle. They got to the third floor now and were walking through the main corridor as they continued to talk about boys. "I'm sure he likes you too. At least... Okay, well sometimes in class, I see the way he looks at you and I think he likes you too!" Maybe he was just being nice and had a pleasant expression on all the time, or liked Lee's answer in class, or something else. But to Lottie, she thought it was good enough to tell her friend that she thought he liked her too. He must anyway because Lee was amazing, so what boy wouldn't like her?
"You know what? I don't think it's down here..." Lottie said as they finished walking through the third floor. "How about we try the sixth floor?" The sixth floor was mostly academic classes and electives, but maybe that meant it was the perfect place for a secret pool. No one would expect it.

Other people would tease her about wanting to get her in on time, but Lee Ji-Hyun never let her bother her and would ignore them. Though she knew it was why she was sorted into Ravenclaw, she did know a few of her housemates who weren't the same way and her older siblings weren't like that, which is why they were in different houses. "I know right? I am the only one of my older siblings who is like that." Lee Ji-Hyun said. She wanted to go out for the Quidditch, but she thought it would get in the way of her studies and so she didn't try out for the team.
They made it to the third floor, walked through it to the main corridor and didn't see any pool. "What! Really, he looks at me during class sometimes. I guess he looks away, when I look over that way and if that is true. I wonder why he hasn't said anything to me, he doesn't seem like the kind of person who wouldn't tell someone that he likes them." Lee Ji-Hyun said, he always would say what is on his mind.
"I don't think it down here either." Lee Ji-Hyun said, they were coming to the end of the third floor. "We can check there next." Lee Ji-Hyun said.

"Well it's definitely the better way to be." Lottie smiled at her friend. Not that she was always successful at completing her homework and assignments in advance so she didn't have to worry about it, but she knew that it was a good feeling. She wished she was like that always. But sometimes there were other things in the way like Quidditch and clubs and wanting to hang out with her friends!
"Do you know anyone who straight up tells someone they like them?" Lottie asked. "I'm a Gryffindor and I don't even think I'd be that brave." She chuckled.
"Okay, let's go." They started to walk back to the staircase towards the sixth floor then.
Lottie switched back to their more interesting topic. "I don't know how people can even get a date, really? I guess you just have to be brave and ask them? But what if both people are too shy and just never ask each other? That would be so sad." Lottie thought about it. What if someone liked her and they both never said anything and just never knew and went on their lives like that? She thought that would suck.
