Christmas is a hard time for many people in the world. If you need a place to go or need some help for the holiday, there is an event going on that could help you. On Christmas day, Hogwarts professor Shepard is throwing a holiday party. He, along with his life partner Tracy Davis, are hosting a holiday party to ideally end all holiday parties.
There will be food, drinks, and presents. If you can't stand your family, if you don't have a family, if you are on decent terms with your family, you are welcome. Everyone in the wizarding world is invited to come to the party.

We all know the amazing news of Hermione Weasley. She was a a professor for a bit. She has been an icon in the the eyes of several people due to the fact that she's just a celeb. Previously she was a darling, but as of late she has been on a spiral. It's true that a lot of celebs spiral at a certain age, but everyone thought we were past this point with Ms. Weasley. She and George got divorced.
That isn't even the bad news. People get divorced all of the time. I have gotten divorced six times. But she took it to a new level. There have been plenty of rumors. She's been spotted out going out with different people, leaving clubs at late hours, and things like that. Also is it just me or do their twins not even look like her ex husband? Everyone assumes they're his, since they have the Weasley last name. It's not even like she's even doing anything important with her life at this point. She's no longer teaching. She's not doing anything good in the ministry. She's just....there to take up space.
Rumor even has it she's all for the purebloods losing their jobs. She'd much rather live in a world where she can easily manipulate the Ministry. I guess since she couldn't manipulate her former husband, I guess she'll abuse power where she can. And in the meantime, someone should probably tell Mr. Weasley he's raising kids that aren't his. Right?

CHA-CHA-CHANGES

While Hogwarts previously announced it's changes when it came towards things like their classes and allowing nonhumans into the school, they hadn't really stated things like the dorm changes. This one is pretty basic though. In previous years, all of the students of a specific gender and age were lumped together. I, myself, lived in a dorm with about 10 other boys in my year. However this year Hogwarts has decided to make a change.
They limited the dorms to only have five people in the dorms. And they also made a separate dorm for students who are nonbinary. While Hogwarts always did its best to support and take care of all students, this is done in far more of a official capacity. There are separate dorms for the nonbinary students as well as the head boy and head girl. Basically it does mean that students don't have to have awkward conversations with their heads of houses.
Parents are conflicted about this. When it comes to most, they're glad. It's easier for students to make friends in smaller groups. But other parents are worried that this will be a cause of bullying. After all, fewer students will have a chance to interact. As for myself, I'm pretty glad. I am glad my daughter will have a smaller room of people. Ideally she'll make closer friends because of it. But only time will tell.
