Three Characteristics You Think You Are:
Friendly, Intelligent, Enthusiastic
Three Characteristics Others Think You Are:
Kind, Prepared, Nerd
Hobbies or Interests:
Quidditch
What can he say? It's in his blood. He enjoys it a lot. Plays it whenever he can. He has ideas on trying out for the team, but he hasn't decided. His mum and dad tell he'd make the team, easy though.
Healing
It's a branch of magic he's fairly interested in. Part of it stems from the fact that he's suffered many a broken a bone and injury growing up. And healing magic always just...fixes it.
Dark Arts
Durmstrang's got a way of teaching the dark arts that makes it interesting to learn. It honestly wasn't something that he was all that interested in as a kid. However, as he got older and learned more of what they were teaching, he got more and more interested in it.
Career Aspirations:
Pro-Quidditch Player
He's got his parents' genes, what can he say? He enjoys flying, and loves the game. He's played each role at least once, though he favors being a seeker, like his parents, than other roles. He makes a fair chaser though, if he had to. He'd like to play as long as he could until injuries force him to retire and what not.
Healer
He's broken enough bones that he's seen plenty of healers over the years, alongside his parents. It's never been that unexpected seeing as he's seen magic his entire life, but it always fascinates him. He's contemplated doing something with Healing, as a back up if injuries from Quidditch kept him from playing.
Personal Aspirations:
Make some friends. It sounds a little stupid, but Darien honestly doesn't have many close friends or anything like that. He had classmates, companions in school, dormmates, enemies, and that sort. He didn't have very many close friends he could call confidents though. Perhaps it was his own problem or people didn't like him, or perhaps it was his parents' fame and what not. Sometimes it felt like people wanted to know his parents over him.
Family:
Viktor Krum - Father
Cho Chang-Krum - Mother
Qian Krum - Younger Brother
Relationship with Parents:
Honestly, his parents are pretty awesome. They never were the type to stop him from doing anything really? If he wanted to play quidditch all summer, they let him. If he broke his bones falling off a broom, they laughed a little and brought him to a healer. His relationship is honestly good. They have their expectations of him and Darien hopes he meets them as well as he can.
Relationship with Siblings:
His brother was cute when he was younger, he has to admit that one. As they grew older though, Darien feels as if they're a little bit distant; not for the lack of trying. Darien feels like he's doing more stuff with school than getting to spend time wth the kid brother. He likes getting to hang out with him whenever he can though - just not as often as he'd like.
OPINION
Blood Purism
Darien has never asked his parents what they think of the idea. Personally, he thinks that there could be merits and demerits of the idea. No one member of the magical world is better than others regardless of blood, he's seen muggleborns be hella amazing with magic after all. But at the same time, he thinks that there are things that should be kept among those with purer blood than throwing the information out in the hands of those inferior.
Quidditch
Boy's a geek for the game. Again, it's in his blood. He'd play all day if he could. He also likes being in the air too. Flying is always wonderful, and just being able to enjoy a game, it's always entertaining. He could do without breaking bones though on occassion.
Potions
It is honestly not his best subject, but he enjoys it nonetheless. He's always been "okay" at it, nothing he'd ever write home about of course, but he's decent. He can brew simpler potions with ease, however, others don't do well for him. Darien's always missing just a tiny bit in the steps, like his stirring clockwise or counterclockwise are just a touch too slow, or his cauldron fire was just a little too hot.
DodecaWizard Tournament
He didn't get a chance to really attend the last one, though he'd have liked to. It doesn't matter though, even if he couldn't take on tasks and like run in it himself, it's cool still. Always a blast to watch though.
Blast-Ended Skrewts
He's never had to see one himself in person. However, he's read about them, and has heard his mum's stories about them. He thinks they're odd, dangerous creatures. Fascinating on paper, but he'd probably like to not meet them in real life. Outside of classes anyways. (Controlled settings are okay.)
PENSIEVE
Arranged Marriage Program of 2010-2011
Darien really only head or of it happening. He had no idea of what happened, but he had heard of it. It sounds like something interesting. He can't say that he'd like the idea of it being thrown on himself, but it's not historically unheard of. Some of the old, old pureblood families he's had the pleasure of meeting, have had arranged marriages. The program was probably annoying though.
Dodeca of 2019
His first experience with the Dodeca Tournament. While he's horribly in love with Quidditch, The Dodeca Tournament was awfully interesting to watch. He can't say that he remembers a whole lot about it now, but it's okay. He remembers it being a lot of fun.
Quidditch
Ok, he's definitely his parents' kid. Honestly could fly before he could walk, or at least, that's what his grandparents have told him. First quidditch game he played was a seekers' game against his mum. It was so much fun! He lost, because of course he did, though his mum did try to go easy on him. Though he like, fell off his broom towards the end. Luckily for cushioning charms.
Hospital Visits
Oh boy, hospital visits and this boy are pretty synonymous, like other quidditch players. His first actual quidditch game, outside of games with his parents, found him waking up in Durmstrang's hospital wing. Apparently fell off his broom early on. It was a bit disappointing, he was so excited to play!! Other games that year made up for it, he's still a little grumpy about missing his first school game ever though.
Moving to the UK.
So, it was a little out of the blue, but also not. Really, they have spent a lot of tim on Bulgaria and his paternal grandparents. It was nice to move to the UK for a bit to be closer to his maternal grandparents. It's a nice change.
ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
She was going to be quite annoyed if it was just her for the lower years at the club. Dueling perhaps wasn't on most people's lists, as it took someone disciplined to do it properly, but she had still hoped people of her own house would be more inclined to pop by. Her wait was not long and Wisia's eyes were drawn to a flash of green and silver, the colors of other snakes, and she smiled at the other girl.
The smile almost faltered, quirking a touch more in amusement as she listened to the other girl. Leda, if she wasn't mistaken, a first year. And she was calling ...the leader "Mr. Tree"? How amusing. She waved as the other girl spoke and Wisia smiled, "I can't see how we wouldn't have partners. Dueling does take two people after all." She waved at the empty spot next to her. "C'mere, I wanna start casting. Or you can cast first!"
A voice spoke up and it took Wisia a moment ot realize that someone else was standing with them. Goodness, she needed to up her spatial awareness skills. "After you?" she offered.
