Her winter holiday was not too bad. It felt alright to spend some time home and relax, even though Vikram has not been much around due to the nature of his work. She sometimes wondered whether he started avoiding her more after that summer, but it was difficult to tell with her dad being so busy all the time. Gemini could also not really blame him as she's done the same during her first school term that year. She could still remember how close they were when she was a very young child and how she'd always say she'll marry him one day. Growing slightly apart might have affected her more also because he was what she's perceived as family for her entire life.
Getting lost in her own thoughts while running was never a great idea. The Hufflepuff student ended up not seeing the roots of one of the trees in the courtyard and stumbled over one, falling down and hitting some pebbles or stones too to make it worse. She looked at her elbows and knees, quite aware some of the scratches looked alright, while others could have been better as one of the cuts started bleeding, her legs needing a thorough wash and maybe some sort of simple healing spells.

note: Hi Clem! Just started a thread for Analise and Gemini as promised <3 Looking forward to writing more with you .
Ana had taken up running to help with her anxiety. So as every morning she began with a healthy run around the grounds. But this morning as she was heading into her second lap she came across a fellow student, as she gently approached she noticed she was hurt. Ana of course wanted to be a healer so she knew how to help the small cut. She looked lightly at her and walked over to her.
"Hey, hi! Uh, are you okay?" She asked gently as she knelt down lightly next to her. She smiled lightly, "Can ummm, can I help you?" Ana needed to get past her confidence issues, and the fact she feared everyone she ever spoke to. She smiled gently lifting her bag off her back and grabbing her first aid kit. "I found muggle first aide to be the best. For cleaning up blood..." she began gently holding out the gauze for either the girl to take or for her to begin the cleaning process.
"But spells however, the magic of a self healing charm!" She said excitedly towards the girl. Noticing her tone she took it down a few nodes and smiled lightly. "I'm sorry, healing is in my blood." She said smiling lightly.
@gemini,
OOC: I am so so sorry this is late honey! I am so excited to see these two grow a friendship!
The first thing Gemini noticed when the female student walked towards her, kneeling down to check if she was alright, was the girl's beauty. For a moment, it was difficult to find her words, still too focused on the light, reassuring expression on the other's face. She genuinely looked like an angel, and if her injuries were considerably more severe, Gemini would think she might have seen one briefly, just before coming back to her senses. Of course, there were only some scratches and a small cut so that scenario was not one she was willing to believe, given the circumstances.
"You carry a first aid kit with you when running?" she asked, looking at the gauze a bit confused, then smiling broadly at the girl in front of her. She could only say that the other was running too, due to her outfit. "That's brilliant, thanks..." she accepted the gauze, evidently not knowing exactly what to do with it so instead of gently cleaning the blood around her cut, she rubbed it off with the pad in her hand, making it bleed a bit more, the skin around quite red now. "I'd better get my wand. I've learned some healing spells that will help with this." but then the other girl mentioned about healing being in her blood, which made Gemini look again at her, rather than reach for the wand.
"In your blood? So... do you like it?" she asked, not sure what she meant in the first place, but thinking that the latter question was more relevant. She believed liking or being passionate about something was more important than being gifted at it. The way in which she secured her permanent slot on the Hufflepuff quidditch team reflected this belief as well.
Evidently, she did not expect to receive any help when she fell, so Gemini's responses were all not very coherent or clear, given what the other has asked her originally. "I'm sorry, I am alright, should have paid more attention. Gemini Fawley, it's great to meet you." she said with a smile, extending her hand.
@analise ,

Ana looked lightly at the girl waiting for her to say anything at all, it was the normal reaction people had when Ana came near. Which caused Ana’s anxiety to get even worse. She paused for a moment and took a deep breathing calming her anxiety as best as she could to avoid attack. When the girl finally asked a question Aa opened her eyes and gently looked at her. “My dad is paranoid something will happen to me out alone. So, he trained me to carry a small bag, with just the basics, something to stop the blood immediately and a band-aid just in case. We can’t use magic out of school, so it is needed.”
Ana did not realize that every kid wasn’t taught how to take care of themselves without magic, she wondered how dangerous that would be. Ana watched gently as the girl took the gauze and soon found the girl had no clue what gauze was. Ana smiled lightly and took a clean piece,” smiling lightly towards the girl, “Can I?” Then not waiting for the girl to answer she gently took the bloody piece and put it to the side, before gently dapping the cut and then gently applying pressure to get the blood to stop. “There you go, see now when you can’t use your magic you know how to at least stop blood. Just gently apply pressure to the cut.”
The girl obviously seemed confused on pretty much everything that was happening at this moment. Ana wondered if she had hit her head or if she was naturally this confused. “Not like in my blood, my dad’s family has a long line of healers in it. My dad wanted to make sure if I get hurt, I could handle myself without needing magic.” Ana knew she knew a lot more then most kids her age about the muggle world. When the girl said she needed to pay more attention Ana laughed lightly as she heard her name. “ Don’t worry about the fall. Are you okay?”
@gemini, OOC: Me too! I can't wait to see where this friendship goes!
"That's not a bad idea. How did you or your family find out about muggle first aid kit and how to use it?" she wondered if the person in front of her had a muggle-born relative or something. Gemini always wanted to learn more about muggles so that would have been really interesting. This would also partially explain her father's concerns too, muggles did get worried about things they could not understand, from what she heard so far.
"Yes please, I have no clue how to use this, sorry..." she responded, quite concerned about troubling the other. "Thanks. I am sure it'll be something useful to know at some point. " it was always nice to learn something new even though Gemini would turn 17 that year and very soon she'd be able to use magic anywhere. "Oh, I see..." so her dad was not a muggle, just someone very cautious. "I'm okay now due to you." she said politely, even though taking out her wand and using some of the spells she learned would have been probably as efficient or more.
"What is your name?" she asked, since the other did not introduce herself yet. She stood up this time, making eye contact, a small smile on her face. At least this time Gemini was not the one too distracted to answer the questions she was asked. "So...do you like learning about healing or is it something you do because of your dad?" she repeated her question, changing it slightly this time.
Ana smiled, she knew magic was quicker but she sure did enjoy a good old fashioned easy fix. A lot more witches and wizards should learn muggle acts incase they are ever in need. But she figured she was the only one that felt that way. Ana sighed gently then looked at the girl as she asked her name. "Oh I am so sorry I didn't introduce myself, I'm Analise. You can call me Ana," Ana said calmly.
Ana smiled as the girl continued on with another question. She smiled gently towards her. "My fathers love became my love I guess. I want to be a healer when I leave next year." Ana paused, the words had been spoken before and she wasn't sure if she had forgotten to answer or if she simply didn't comprehend the first time. This was when she felt it. Her heart began to race as she questioned herself.
Ana paused feeling like she couldn't breathe, how could she be so rude to completely ignore a question asked of her. Ana looked down as she stood there in front of this girl feeling as if she was falling, falling hard and fast Ana pulled her eyes shut quickly trying to stop the tears from running down her face. Lightly she began picking at her finger nails waiting for the attack to end. Lightly she popped out a small, "I'm sorry"
It felt great to know the other girl's name. She wanted to thank her again for helping heal the small bruises and cuts and smiled when Ana explained her father's love became hers too, eventually. That was always something nice to hear, especially since Gemini's interest in quidditch was often encouraged and inspired by her own father's success in this sport. "I am sure you will become a great healer." the Hufflepuff replied with confidence.
Things took a downturn very soon, when she realized that repeating the question earlier might have been perceived as something not very nice to do and rather blunt too. She swallowed hard, looking very worried as she witnessed the changes in the expression of the other girl. When the girl apologised, given all gestures she's already witnessed, Gemini did not know what to do apart from honestly bend forward from the waist in a very low bow, her body almost in a 90 degrees angle right now. "I apologise." she said loud and clear, sounding scared. Of course she would be, Gemini never made someone cry before and Ana looked like she was about to, or at least that is what she thought.
Just lowering her torso and genuinely saying sorry did not feel like enough. She had to check on Ana and see whether there was anything she could do, so she straightened quickly her back, which was a mistake, as she felt their heads bumping into each other... somehow. "Awch..."
Ana's eyes drifted up in time to hear the other girl apologize and then bend into a low bow. This honestly confused and disoriented her. Lightly she wondered which actions led them to the most awkward meeting and conversation the Ana had honestly ever had. She finally let the tears escape and allowed herself to fall to the ground. But on the way down they collided, which meant the other girl had began to lift up. Ana heard the girl acknowledge the collision.
As she allowed herself to sink the rest of the way down her eyes welled and she took a few deep breaths. Lightly she spoke through the attack. "Why are you apologizing? I was the rude one, completely ignoring your simple questions for reasons I have no genuine answer to." The tears still fled and now was the part of the attack where she overly expressed herself.
But the only thing that could escape her lips lastly was, "I'm sorry. Anxiety." The word left her lips and she laid her head in her hands gently trying to calm her breathing so she could properly make sure the girl was okay and explain herself. Now she figured Gemini thought she was psycho.
"You were under no obligation to answer my questions. I am sorry for being persistent." she apologised again, feeling genuinely bad about it, especially as the other girl sank to the ground in front of her eyes. Gemini did not try to get close to the Gryffindor student, offering her the space she thought she needed, given the circumstances. "Would counting slowly together to ten help?" her voice sounded calm and warm. She did not want to assume, as everyone had their ways to deal with anxiety attacks. She was worried but did not let it show, knowing she had to stay calm, maybe help this person by breathing slowly together. She lowered herself down as well - sitting on the ground again, determined to get to a similar height level, whilst still offering the girl enough space.
Gemini learned all that and more from Vikram. For reasons she was not aware of at all, her dad insisted she read about mental health first aid and even signed her up for a course. She's never asked him about it or why that course, since he encouraged her to study a lot of other things too, like languages and a musical instrument. The Hufflepuff kind of assumed it was just another course Vikram thought might be helpful. She waited patiently, allowing Analise to take all the time she needed.
Ana shook her head violently this time to Gemini's answer of 'you don't have to answer'. Looking lightly at her. Ana knew this was all a huge misunderstanding and mainly her fault. She sighed gently and then nodded when Gemini asked if counting to ten slowly would help. Ana closed her eyes lightly.
"One" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Two" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Three" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Four" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Five" Deep breath in, hold, out. "six" Deep breath in, hold, out. "seven" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Eight" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Nine" Deep breath in, hold, out. "Ten" Deep breath in, hold, out.
Ana could finally breath. The remaining tears dried gently up and she opened her eyes to look at the girl. "I am so sorry you had to see that." She began with an embarrassed look. "Please, don't feel as if you were in the wrong it was all me. Sometimes my brain thinks ahead of itself and I feel like I answer questions....." Ana began to explain herself. "That I never really answer to begin with. Then I feel like I am being rude."
Ana said lightly picking at her nails looking at the girl lightly. She hoped she hadn't scared this girl. What an awkward meeting for her this had turned out to be.
She decided not to say anything when Ana shook her head, knowing it was not the best time to have a debate about who should apologise. Her nod made Gemini feel slightly more relieved. She focused on counting really slowly and breathing at a similar pace. There were different ways to do it, but the girl just used the same method as Ana, knowing it might help a bit if they did it together.
For a moment she felt tempted to pretend she did not see anything, but was not certain if a light-hearted comment such as 'see what?'[/i] would be wise. She shook her head instead, wanting to say that there was no need to apologise, but decided to listen instead, as Ana looked as if she was about to say more. "I feel my response did not help exactly either. You were not rude at all." Gemini reassured her, being honest and straightforward. There was no reason to hide behind lies in this situation, she genuinely had a hard time imagining Ana could be rude to anyone, from what she just witnessed.
"Would you like to grab a hot drink from the kitchen?" it was no secret that a Hufflepuff would know her way around the Hogwarts kitchen, given their common room was just next to it. She thought some tea might make Ana feel better. Her stomach made quite the noise soon after and Gemini's cheeks turned bright red in only moments. "I might grab a snack with my tea..." she added, since running always helped with her appetite.
Ana was now in her embarrassment phase. Right after every attack, she immediately felt embarrassed. Today was just terribly in general, she really wanted to be this girls friend, but feared that she had made the worst first impression ever. Her eyes just looked lightly at the girl and could feel the energies in the air. She knew this wasn't exactly what either of them had in mind.
Lightly she composed herself and looked towards the other girl. "Your reaction was quite normal. I am so embarrassed." She admitted lightly towards her. This girl had literally already seen her at her worst. What else could come to harm from her speaking freely.
"Hot tea sounds absolutely amazing." Ana said now slightly relieved that this girl still wanted to hang out with her even after the attack she had just witnessed. When the other girls stomach rumbled she gently smiled, she too realized she had not eaten yet. Smiling she stood gently offering the other girl her hand to help her up. "A snack does sound pleasant."
Speaking freely was something Gemini was brilliant at, but - unfortunately - her honesty and straightforwardness did not always help when making friends. "It depends if anything can be labeled as normal." she said with a smile, thinking about the fact that there was no normality formula really. Everyone's idea of normality was quite different actually, especially in such a diverse place like Hogwarts that welcomed people from all walks of life. She knew that saying 'please don't worry' would not help in that situation, so Gemini said with a small smile. "Me too, sorry you had to hear my stomach rumbles just now. Quite sure it is not very appropriate... my parents would probably be worried if they heard I sometimes skip meals..." she said, her smile fading away slightly, when she realised she did not only refer to Vikram - her dad - but also to her mom. How could she be so sure? Maybe Kathryn abandoned her not too long after birth. "I mean my dad will...." she said quickly, feeling a wave of embarrassment strike once again, but at least she was being honest.
"Great. Tea and snacks it is." she added, trying to get over whatever she herself said and heading towards the kitchen. "Do you like quidditch and have you been to any of the games yet?" Gemini asked, thinking it might be best to speak about a topic she was familiar with, but also a bit nervous, as not everyone enjoyed or knew much about quidditch.
When the girl spoke it made Ana laugh gently smiling towards her. "Okay, so you have me there." Ana was always so concerned about her own reactions, she never took into account the actions of others. Ana looked down but before long she was looking back up to the girl. She was so lost in her own mind, she totally skipped the girls stomach growl. Instead of letting her selfishness send her into another attack she looked lightly at her and sighed.
"Stomach growls?" She giggled gently, she had decided that now was not the time to scold the girl over skipping meals, instead she would place out an offer. "Skipping meals is so easy when you are studying, or practicing. I'm positive they understand to some degree." She said gently smiling towards to other girl to reassure her. When then girl retracted and spoke solely of her father. Ana gently tried to determine how to be sensitive but supportive. Ana had never felt calm, the way she felt towards the girl in front of her.
"I'm sure he is looking out for your best interest." She said gently in an offer. When Gemini spoke she smiled gently, "Yes!" Tea and snacks sounded absolutely amazing to Ana. As they headed towards the kitchens conversation began to shift. Quidditch was the topic now. "I find beauty in quidditch, However due to my own fears... she began lightly and shook her head before she continued to get all the negative thoughts out.
"I don't play. I do come to games, my boyfriend plays. You may know him." She said gently smiling. She hated to assume all Quidditch players knew each other, but it was a good assumption. She smiled gently as she continued. "His name is York. I hate to assume everyone knows everyone. But he is very out there, it is very hard not to know him." she giggled gently. She loved how York and her were totally different people. She felt that is what made them the perfect match.
Gemini chuckled when Ana mentioned she was certain their families understood to a certain extent how easy skipping a few meals here and there was, especially when students were quite busy these days. "Yes, I think he clearly has my best interest in mind." she responded to the Gryffindor girl, a wide smile on her face right now, trying not to think that the same father was stubborn enough to never really mention anything about her mother. Being considerate was a rather difficult task when Gemini was so interested in quidditch and curious about what kept others from playing this amazing sport. "Quidditch is really beautiful indeed." she nodded encouragingly, deciding to ask her eventually about those fears. "Are you by any chance afraid of heights?" she's heard many people were and that was rather unfortunate, in her opinion... After all, it felt so great to fly on a broomstick and admire the views from up there - even if one chose to never play quidditch.
"Oh... York Holmes is your boyfriend." she knew him but Gemini never thought for a moment before that the boy was in a relationship with the extremely polite and nice lady in front of her. "It's nice you're attending the games. I know Holmes, we are both prefects so we sometimes meet when on duty. He is a very good quidditch player, I reckon he might be considering to go professional as well, post-Hogwarts." that was all she could recall about York Holmes, but Gemini never really paid much attention to girls and boys, at least not in a romantic manner. She always seemed to have eyes only for quidditch.
It did not take them long to get to the kitchen and Gemini tickled the pear immediately so they could get in. "Do you feal like sweet or savoury snacks or both?" she asked, heading directly to the fridge, the moment a house elf apparated nearby. "Miss, Miss, how can we help you?"
