Brooke chuckled when he started well almost started comparing dancing and flying. ”I like it when you go full nerd though. It shows that you are really passionate about the topic.” She told him with a smile. ”You can do it whenever you want. I will gladly listen to you talk about whatever you want whenever you want.” She said as she reached up to give him a quick kiss. She then heard his next question. She tried to comb through her memories but she didn’t believe he had. It was just one of the more things that they had in common. While he had almost been an orphan for a few months before she turned 17 she was an orphan. Her mom and cousin had died, and her dad had up and left pretty much leaving her as an orphan. At least she had been able to finish school and what not then move on with her life. ”No you haven’t but like you said not tonight. You can tell me some other time.” She said to him pretty curious to hear the story but she knew it was not one for a celebration night like tonight where they were raising money to help orphaned students.
”Have you ever heard me say something and not mean it? Besides maybe threats of cursing you.” she questioned him not really hearing his question at the end at first. It wasn’t till after she finished speaking that she realized what he had said at the end. A look of shock came over her face at what he was saying. ”Wait. What was that?” she questioned him not really giving an answer but wanting to make sure that what he said was real. It wasn’t like either of them to joke about something that big, but at the same time they had not really talked about marriage that much so she wanted to make sure that he wasn’t messing with her.

Charity ball
It took her a second. She was following up on some of the other things he had said, and he did his duty and listened to her responses, but really, he was just watching her.
Watching to see when it would hit her.
Watching to see how she would react to his surprise.
She didn't disappoint. Her eyes fluttered, her mouth went agape, and as she stood there, questioning him, he couldn't help but smile. "You heard what I said." he told her simply, as one of his hands went to his pocket and pulled out the ring he had been keeping there. "I have thought a million ways of how to do this..." he said as he continued to smile at her. "I have thought of flashy ways. I have thought of romantic ways. I have thought of ridiculous ways, but, when I heard about this, I thought...this would be the perfect way to do this." he said as he got down on one knee. "Brooklyn Avery Lexington, you know how I feel about you. You know that I love you with everything I have. You know that you are the best friend I have ever had." he said as he held up the ring. "Would you give me the great honor of also becoming my wife?"

She watched him to see if he was joking but he wasn’t. In fact he told her with a smile on his face that she had heard what he had said. Of course she had heard it but did it mean that she believed it at first. No. She didn’t know why. Maybe because she couldn’t believe that they were in the spot to be this happy right now. But of course they were she just couldn’t believe it when she heard the words come from his mouth.
But while she was shocked and thus doubting it because of the shock Cameo continued talking and listing off the fact that he had thought of many different ways to propose to her but that this one seemed like the best way to propose to her. She had to agree with that. She was not all that big into flashy things when it came to doing something big like this. Before she could say that though Cameo was down on one knee and asking her to become his wife.
A huge smile came on her face as she looked down on him ”Yes.” It was one word but it was full of the emotion that she felt right now. The happiness and excitement and every other emotion that she could not put a finger on right now. A million things were racing through her head but all of them good. She was excited about planning a wedding, and telling Winnie, and of course spending her life with Cameo. That was really what she was totally excited for but the rest cause her excitement too.
