Another item at the auction was a custom broom. Hestia wasn’t the best flyer, but she could appreciate the value of a good broom. The colours were pretty and reminded her of her Hufflepuff roots. She checked to make sure the security charms were in place and then set out the auction sheets and ballot box. She expected the broom to be a popular item. The winner would have a new broom and bragging rights that for some of the wealthy would be a hard thing to pass us.
Lightning by Kingsley Brooms International This broom is equipped with both a cushioning charm, a braking charm and a cooling charm. It is made of hard, sturdy yellowwood from the evergreens of South Africa and therefore difficult to break. Lightning is best used for short trips due to its quick acceleration and high speeds but the side effect is that the broom tends to overheat (hence the cooling charm) if it's used for too long of periods. This is a beginner to medium level broom.
The wood of the broom is yellow in appearance and engraved in the handle is a black lightning bolt. The footholds are made of traditional iron in the style of old Viking sword makers which is a tribute to the family heritage.

Kingsley Brooms International was a familiar name to Marjorie, and she made it her first stop in the auction. There was little she would do with a broomstick should she win the bid, but she knew a few individuals who might have liked a broomstick. Meticulously jotting down her bid, she slipped the parchment into the ballot box. All that mattered was that she could show her support for a good cause.

James loved the idea of owning a custom broom. He had a few already and couldn't wait to see if he could add one more to his collection. He saw that someone had already bid. He was not sure how much but he figured that he would try 150. So he wrote that down on his parchment and slipped it into the box. He could not wait to see if he won. but he also knew he had to keep an eye on the table to see if anyone else would bid as well.

With their anniversary coming up Katie wanted to get something to surprise Harry. She figured that a custom broom would be a great gift. They both loved flying, and it had been years since Harry or herself had gotten new ones. So when this opportunity presented itself she could not pass it up. After dropping her bid in the box. She looked around and saw James Wood. She hadn't seen him in years since he had graduated from Hogwarts and went on to his life, or his father, so she walked up to him and said. "Hello James. Haven't seen you since you graduated. or your dad in years. How are you both?"
James watched as Katie walked up to bid on the custom broom. he was going to go over right away and bid again but decided to wait a few minutes till after she left. But instead of going to another table she made her way over to him and asked him some questions. "Dad is doing well. Mom and I swear he is going to die on the pitch, you know him. I am also doing well. I made starting chaser right out of Hogwarts for Puddlemere. Dad was kind of upset since not even he did that but hes proud none the less." He answered her before saying. "While it was nice seeing you again Professor. I must get going for a while." Even though he was no longer a student it was habit to call her professor.
Katie listened as he filled her in on his and his dads life. "That does sound like Oliver. And I am glad that you got that opportunity." She told him. As he said that he had to leave. She waved goodbye and waited to see if anyone else was going to come and bid on the broom as well.
A Kingsley broom! He would happily donate for this cause. Imagine how jealous his teammates would be if he got one! He scribbled his bid down and looked around him. A custom broom would be something cool, could he get his name on it? Oh the possibilities were endless.

The only reason why he wanted to bid on this was because he couldn't convince his parents to buy his own broomstick. So here he was. After all that time finding random galleons all over the school; he scrounged whatever he found to bid on this. Problem was that first years were not allowed their own broom. But Josh knew a loophole! He put on a beard, mask, and sunglasses to fool everyone that he was actually a grown up (just a very small 5'7 grown up). Grabbing a parchment, he wrote his very small bid and put it in the ballot box. Perhaps he should've explored the castle for more galleons?
He almost choked when he saw Professor Party Pooper here. "Uh," coughed Josh, "Lovely day we're having. Snow is falling down quite tremendously, y-- too," he said in a very 'manly' British voice while stroking his 'beard.'

James saw a few other people come up and bid on the custom broom while he was walking around, so he made his way back to the custom broom and upped his bid. While placing the piece of parchment into the box he looked around and saw Silas. HE had known him from school so he walked over to him and said "I take it this broom has caught your attention too"
Silas smiled when James came up to him. The pair had gone to school together but ofcourse no had gone to different teams. It was nice to see him again but he really wanted that broom. "What gave it away?" He smiled brightly, despite their opposing teams he still liked James.

James upped Silas's bid once more and then said. "Oh you know just the fact that your over by it." he chuckled. "How are the Falcons treating you. Is my dad driving you crazy yet?" He asked wondering how Silas was doing working with his dad. He had heard enough stories to know that his dad was crazy when it came to Quidditch.
Silas and James small bidding war was fun. A bit of a competition something he enjoyed. He laughed at the comment, "of course!" It was fun to be a bit free. Coach Wood wasn't as bad as he seemed in practice a little Quidditch obsessed but they all were. "He has been pretty great actually." He pushed Silas to get better but also gave him time when he needed it being the teams wolf was hard enough. JAMES CONNER WOOD,

James faked a look of shock when Silas said that his dad was pretty great. "I'm surprised. You are like the first person I have met that has worked with my dad and not complained about how obsessed he was. And I mean out of everyone I have met that has worked with my dad, even from when he was in school. He must be getting over it some in his old age." James said with a chuckle. He would never tell his dad that in person but joking about it with a former classmate was different.
"He has his moments but doesn't any coach? He is a cool guy very wise. You should think about joining the winning team." He smiled and winked at the other boy he was super proud of his own team and wouldn't care that he was on an opposing team. He laughed at his joke and smiled. "Maybe I will tell him you said that?"
