Hestia walked around the tent and set up the display for the silent auction. Against the wishes of the board of directors, she had gotten some of the kids to help make signs. Hestia thought their art looked much better than the professional ones the board had ordered. Anyone with a love of children would. Their posters were much more colorful and personal and they made her smile. She looked at the handmade sign behind the first table and laughed. The girls that made the sign were clearly fans as hearts took up more space than anything else. Hestia wasn’t the best judge of music. If it was fun and made her want to dance then she liked it. She tried not to listen to the lyrics. There were too many new slang words and if she thought about it too much it ruined the fun. The kids at the orphanage were more than happy to tell her what the new slang words meant and she wished they wouldn’t.
DO YOU LIKE MUSIC?
Would you like to see what happens behind the scenes at a concert? How about two tickets and backstage passes to a Dorian Rhapsody concert?
This summer, choose from any number of cities and get the superstar treatment as a VIP!
Concert tickets and VIP passes were generously donated by DORIAN GARETH PAYNE himself!
OOC: Since this is a silent auction your bid should be written on the available parchment and put in the ballot box on the table. Since we can actually see the bids, please remember that the last post is the winner, so feel free to chat with each other around the table <3

VIP tickets to see Dorian Rhapsody? Yes, sign him up. Auberon scribbled his bid onto a piece of parchment and tucked it where it belonged happily. This was a really interesting auction and all the things up seemed interesting. Of course maybe, just maybe, he was a little more inclined to bid more on this one. Who could say no to this sort of prize after all
Krislynn loved the festival, the cause and the reason she could step out and meet people. The Leaky Cauldron had a lot of interesting people but she couldn't rely on her job to make acquaintances. Carrying a warm cup of cappuccino, Krislynn looked over the items for auction until she reached one with a man placing a bid. "I don't know the band, are they any good?" She asked him.
Hearing a voice Auberon looked up and smiled warmly, not recognizing the person as someone he knew. Meeting people was a great bonus to this little festival too. "Oh yes, very good. Well I think so at least." Laughing a little at that, since he could come off as strange to most he wasn't sure if his taste in music was good or not really. The cappuccino she was holding smelled amazing though and he added Madam Puddifoots to his list of places he needed to go. A warm beverage for a cold day really would be good about now. "I may be easy to please in the music category however!" Sounding a little to cheerful about that.
Bailey really liked Dorian Rhapsody and she hoped she and Octavio will end up enjoying that concert. She tried bidding slightly higher than the first person. Even if the tickets would not end up being hers, she hoped the donations will end up making some children smile.
"Hmm..." Krislynn silently passed judgment on the man beside her, not in a bad way. "Well, I hate to spend money on something when I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into..." she contemplated while picking up a ballot to place a bid. She didn't expect to win either but the point was to drive the price up so that the Orphanage got more money. "But's it's for a good cause." She carried on, mostly musing to herself but grinned at the man beside her. "I'll take your opinion as the gospel in exchange for your contact info in case I need revenge for you sending me to a snoozefest." And that was how Krislynn Vincit asked a man for his number in the magical world, because phones were not the direct form of communication.
No way was he missing out on this concert if he could help it, though it occurred to him that he could likely just buy tickets if he didn't win. Oh well, this was for charity it'd be fine if the price went up! "Isn't that part of the fun though? A concert with music you haven't heard before is an exciting notion I'd think." Not that he knew since he actually had heard Dorian Rhapsody before. But it had to be comparable somehow. Besides, as she said, this was all for the charity anyway. Which is why he'd been bidding on most all of the things up for it. Auberon was pulled from placing his new bid as he heard her say she'd take his opinion as gospel. Laughing a little he seemed as amused as he was baffled. "I don't think I've ever had anyone take my word as anything like that, but I promise, completely not a snoozefest!"
Velvet traipsed up to the table, dressed in a pair of black tights and a white dress with her usual high boots. Her hair had been turned a brilliant scarlet for the occasion. There was no way she was going to miss out on a party like this. Especially when there was a chance to win some tickets for music. She slipped between the people there with a cheerful "'Scuse me!" and added her bid.
Raphael had never heard of Dorian but he was down for VIP treatment at a concert so he put in a bid. He could buy all that on his own, sure, but he also liked winning things. Plus it was for charity and even Raphael could not fault money going to snot nosed rugrats.
As more people placed bids, Krislynn knew she should move on but could not help herself by continuing on this pleasant banter with the handsome man beside her. He might not be catching her very obvious hints, but at least she could easily poke fun at him. "Well, since I don't know you very well, maybe I need some collateral to protect myself and seek revenge if you're lying?" She doubted he was lying but if she didn't come up with some come back she'd be a failure in a subject she knew well; flirting.
