This is just a reminder that we are a PG-13 forum. I know that we all know that it is as all Proboards and Jcink (non-premium) sites are (or supposed to be and could be shut down if they aren't). However, since it is a very strict Terms of Service rule with Proboards, we have to be super strict with it. I am letting you all know now that if there is any content that breaks this rule, it will be removed without notice. We won't save it and PM it to you. It will simply be deleted. There haven't been instances yet, but we have a lot of new members and some threads that seem to be going a certain direction, so that's why I'm reminding everyone so no one can say they didn't know if their thread or post gets deleted.

If you are ever unsure if something is PG-13 not, simply PM a staff member. Interns should be able to give an opinion too. And if they're not sure, they'll tell you to ask Sarah or myself.

I'm not going to go into details of exactly how it could be labelled rated R content because of course then that would be detailing this content and then this post wouldn't be allowed either.

However, ways in which it is not appropriate would be:

-- Too gorey. Obviously there is violence in Harry Potter. But the way it is not rated R is it doesn't go into extreme detail of the blood and guts and gore.
-- Swearing excessively. If you really must, you can do what J.K. Rowling did, saying something like 'He cursed under his breath' instead of actually writing out what that swear word was.
-- Sexual content and nudity. This is the biggest way which roleplays become rated R very quickly. If we see anything that is not PG-13 in romantic plot threads, it will be deleted immediately. When in doubt, fade to black. You can talk about your character's emotions more than the exact physical actions in detail. If you only want to do those kind of plots and threads to get to sexual acts and 'smut' roleplaying, this is not the place for you.
-- And lastly, any taboo themes that would make any normal 13 year old feel uncomfortable (or anyone older possibly too). Again, I won't list them here but if you have an idea or plot and aren't sure, just PM me or another staffer.
