HOGWARTS TOURNAMENT
In this Tournament, all students will be tested on their abilities in a variety of events. Think of it like a Track and Field day (if you experienced that at school) where there are a bunch of events scattered around and you go to each one, seeing how good you can do and try to win a ribbon.
In this case, there won't be ribbons, but will be awards. Your character will receive a button in their Inventory at Gringotts if you win something for them and then there will be signature awards for the winners as well (just like the OTM awards - they will be 500x100).
However, in character wise, the top three places of each event will receive medals. There will also be a ceremony afterwards.
But first, you need to participate!
NOTE that this is mandatory for all students, in character wise. If you don't have the time to participate with all your characters, that's okay, but know that they would have participated regardless. In character wise, it is mandatory for each character to participate in at least 3 events.
SO HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Every character will receive 50 points to allocate to their prowess at each skill. You can give up to 10 for each one. You must designate at least 1 point to each and may only do a 10 if your character really is exceptional at that and that is clear from their application and your threads here. For example, if Harry Potter were competing, it would make sense for him to put a 9 or 10 for Flying and Quidditch, but would not make sense for him to put that for Archery or Ancient Runes. You may only give a 10 to one subject.
If you're not sure, here's a guide:
1-2 = terrible 3-4 = not very good 5-6 = decent/good 7-8 = very good 9-10 = exceptional
THE ACTUAL EVENT
So how will the actual event happen?
Well, everyone will be roleplaying it. Specific instructions will be put in each thread because they are very different from one another. But know that your allocations will either give you an advantage or disadvantage or increase your luck if a random number generator is involved.
Please note that participating in all events, not just the ones your character is great at, will only benefit yourself and other members too.
WHERE ARE THE THREADS
They are located throughout Hogwarts:
Dungeons (Potions) Great Hall (Ancient Runes, Dueling, Charms, Transfiguration) The Lawns (Archery) Quidditch Pitch (Flying, Quidditch, Running)
Each of those boards are where the individual pinned info threads for each event will be posted. The actual thread you post in to participate in the event will also be in those boards.
QUESTIONS?
You can ask them here. This thread is only open for questions or comments. If you want to sign up, make sure you do that in the Sign-Ups thread.

For clarifications sake; do we need to allocate the entire fifty? Because my character's are not that good at some things and it's not all adding entirely up to fifty, lol.

The event has begun!
The threads are up and everyone is free to participate. Sign-ups are still open for most events, but are closed for Dueling and Quidditch.
Please keep in mind that this event takes place in March and the weather is decent. No more snow, but the temperature is around 10-12c. So heavy sweaters and cloaks are necessary but hat, mittens and scarves are not.
The deadline will be whenever the timed events finish (Quidditch, Flying, Dueling, Archery, Running & Potions).

Okay, I don't fully understand how dueling works here. Do I decide if someones spell worked? React to it and then perform my spell?\
For example, if Character A casts the disarming spell, do I say Hymn was disarmed, went to get his wand back and then cast Spell A? And am I correct in thinking that it costs a "point" to perform spells?

This will close at the end of the month at the latest. If at that time there are people not done races (Potions, Flying), the furthest three will place. Charms, Transfiguration and Ancient Runes will be judged at that time too.
