So, I think I'm probably definitely gonna make an account when I get a spare moment, but as of right now, I just had several questions. I think I've read up on most of the stickied threads, but I have been busy, so forgive me if I end up asking something silly.
Firstly, I love the fact that you can have ghosts/poltergeists here and am really considering making one. My question is if I were to make a deceased student, would the current restrictions (ie: can only be year 1-5) still be in place? Considering they wouldn't be actively enrolled in school? It's absolutely fine if that is the case too.
Also, in the character species thread, there isn't a category for ghosts. Does that mean that only poltergeists are allowed?

Welcome, Spicy! We'd definitely love to have you, and a ghost sounds so fun! We've had a few ghosts before. I know someone has made Helena Ravenclaw, so they're definitely allowed. They probably just fall under a similar enough category that a new one wasn't made specifically for ghosts. I would say the year rule doesn't affect them. They aren't ever going to go up a year anyway, and that rule is in place mainly so we don't have all seventh years. Since they're technically not a person, it wouldn't affect that ratio anyway, so you should be good.

Xandra's right - they wouldn't even be in a year, actually. I think usually we just put them under Other Creatures in the list. Poltergeist mostly has its own section so that we can be clear in the description that they aren't the same thing as ghosts.
