A lot has happened at TB this month and I wanted to let you know about a future thing as well, so make sure to read this. I'll try to be brief. <3
In December 2005, The Minister for Magic (Stuart Thawley), who was the main driving force for the war between Britain and Italy for the past few years, was assassinated in his office. All evidence points to Harry Potter very much, though in reality, Giovanna Nero framed him.
Now Harry Potter is on the run. The Order has disbanned (but Eliza and Ron are trying to bring it together once more). And Mortenero is playing it quiet, to keep the heat on Potter and the Order.
In January 2006, a new Minister for Magic was elected: Emily Burke. She was previously the Head of the Department of Magical Transportation.
In March 2006, the war between Britain and Italy officially ended. Werewolves were also allowed back at Hogwarts, pending a habitation being built for them during their transformation days. So they aren't back yet, but will be soon. Another thread will be posted at that time for you to reply if you want your werewolf student(s) to return to Hogwarts.
The two Quidditch games of this term are up, so make sure to reply to them. Audience participation also helps move the threads along, since the Snitch can't be caught until a certain amount of posts are made in the thread (by anyone, not just players).
The Duelling Tournament has also begun! We've tagged everyone in the duelling threads, so you should have a notification. Because it's nearing the end of term, it would be great if we could get through this first round pretty quickly. There are 3 more to go after this. <3
We were two weeks late in one of the time jumps to the next month, but I've since realized that since I want to actually be able to do the term change stuff, June needs to happen when I'm on break from school for a week ('Reading Week' - like March Break, except it's in February). Therefore, we're going to have to get back on track to how it would have been originally.
January 27th - April
February 3rd - May
February 17th - June
March 2nd - July
March 9th - August
March 16th - September
However, exams will be posted as soon as I'm able to when on break, so it could be as early as February 13th, but most likely February 15th. This is so I'll have more time to mark them and do the other 34209 things to do for term change.
As a reminder and notice for anyone who is new and wasn't here last term,
Exams are mandatory for your character to move up a year (unless you want to pay 1000 Sickles at Gringotts). It's just multiple choice and is taken from the lessons on here. So even if you didn't participate, you can still read through the threads for the answers.
Classes are not mandatory, but you will get a grade button for participating in classes.
OWLs & NEWTs are not mandatory, but certain jobs do require certain NEWTs.
The process will be different this year. Instead of roleplaying or writing out exams for all of the subjects you want to take for your OWLs or NEWTs, you must only choose three classes to do and then can request the grade for the rest. I say request because it's not automatically given (ex. if you ask for all Os, you will not get them). Therefore, if there's something that your character is really good at, choose that for roleplaying it out. (: But more will be posted on that later, when they come out in June.
