Seph has been with us for a little while now and is super active with tons of very different characters. She even has a muggle and also posted the most in the recent Posting Competition - winning two awards with two separate partners. (:



Well, it looks like I was the most active in September, doing 4x my required amount (which is 50 staff duties a month). Though as a note, I nearly hit 1,000 last month! =o



Erin also did a lot last month! With Term Change and especially Gringotts (adding all the class buttons, club buttons, Prefect badges, etc.), there was a lot more to do. Mostly everyone filled a lot more than their quota, but Erin did the most: 14x what she is required to do each month. Congrats, Erin, and thanks for all the extra hard work! <3



El is relatively new to TB (at least since the previous OTM awards), but they have a lot of threads with various characters and they're all a great joy to read. Congrats, El! <3



Callie is one of Ana's newer characters, but you already can see her in various threads, including the Halloween Dance. She has some great threads and plots going on - congrats, Ana. (: <3



George is also one of Jules' newer characters (at least in comparison to her last win with Xavier), but she has jumped right into so many threads and plots with him, including the one thrust upon him when his shop was nearly destroyed. Congrats, Jules. <3



Meepers is relatively new to us, but they have jumped right into it - making quite a few characters already and participating in many threads. Congrats, Meepers! (:




At this point, I think that every Hogwarts class is up to participate in, so make sure to do so if you want to earn some nice buttons for your Inventories at the end of this term. (:

Reminder: Classes are not mandatory (but are fun and an easy way to get your character(s) interacting with many people at once), but exams are. The only exception is if you're a canon. NEWTs are mandatory if you want pretty much any job that isn't a waitress or a shop worker. However, if you miss it at the end of term, you can always take them again in December & June.




For those who missed their NEWTs in June and wish to take them to be able to get a better job, sign-ups will go up in December (IC time). However, to take the NEWTs, you must be signed up for classes at Rutherford. Ideally, your character would be taking classes all year while working part-time in order to prepare for the NEWTs that they failed (or didn't get a good enough mark in) the first time. And then after months of studying will attempt the NEWTs again.

They will be offered to adults in December and students and adults in June. <3




The Halloween Dance & Halloween Ball are still in progress, even though it's now November. Keep in mind that you do get House Points for participating in mass threads. (:

Upcoming mass threads:

Christmas Party (Hogwarts Staff) -- Since when do we have a get together for just the professors (and other staff) of Hogwarts? I hope you guys will have fun with this one, socializing your professors with more than just being a professor, which sometimes it can be easy to get stuck into. ):

TBA Summer Event -- It's been planned for nearly two terms by the time it happens. First brainstormed to Seph in a time that she probably can't remember, it's now going to happen. (: Details will come later. For now, I'll just be ominously vague about it (and make Seph probably dig through PMs to figure it out xD). But anyway, it's a 'challenge' of sorts, in character. It's sort of like having a Triwizard Tournament, but for everyone. Think the Archery contest in Robin Hood where anyone could come and enter. Vagueness aside, I know it's a while from now, but I hope you guys will find it fun. (:

NOTE: And as always, if you want to make a mass thread, PM me the link (or discuss in PM with me if you're unsure about it). To count for House Points and being an announcement, it must be open to people from every House, to make the House Points fair. So if you want to host a party by the Lake or have a huge study session in the Library open to all, go for it! Weddings and grand openings (or grand re-openings) of shops are very valid too! <3




We all knew it was coming. It's evitable, so many months ago, I decided that we would be doing this in November. It'll end up being the end of November, but still. It's better that we do it when we decide to do it so we don't lose lots of things (like Sickles & Karma) without a record of it first.

Post here to claim your Sickles & Karma. If you fail to post there by the time we convert (estimated date: November 30th, so post by November 29th), then your Sickles and Karma will be lost and not added back.

Don't worry, it's just a software update, like for your phone or what not. None of your posts or accounts will be lost (at least I highly doubt it should do that), but all the coding of the site will be (skin wise, not your templates), so the Sickles code will disappear and so will Karma, since it won't be built into the site anymore. However, we can install Plug-Ins to get it back, but we'll have to manually add it for everyone, which is why we have the above link to claiming what you want to be brought back at that time. (:

If you don't really care about Sickles & Karma, then don't worry about it. Just simply don't post in the topic if you don't want your Sickles & Karma back after the conversion. <3

NOTE: I know that it'll be a confusing time for all of us (definitely myself included - at least staffing wise 'til I get used to it), but we'll still be the same old site. And if there is any confusion, we'll stick through it together and help each other out. It's what we always do, and it's what we'll continue to do. (: <3
